When we bought our house last year I shovelled all the compost from the old house into bags and spread it in the new garden bed. Before we knew it there were "accidental" tomatoes everywhere and we had quite a good crop with nearly zero effort. Joel was so proud!
So, here is the project we'll be using in class from Sep 7 to 10. Perfect for a set of similar-looking photos (you know the ones where you just HAD to keep snapping photo after photo).
There'll be a butterfly, twine, some leaves and, yes, some sticks for a nature sort of feel. If you use earthy colours in your papers you can also achieve a very gorgeous vintage look.
The idea of using sticks was inspired by the gorgeous works of Tracey.

Big shoes to fill
Here is a page I started during Renee's birthday scrapping party. It's cute little Leah trying to walk in Daddy's shoes. I used the Cricut machine for the leaves and added some paper and silk flowers.
The little vintage bunny flashcard and the paper doiley were from Shell and a lot of glimmer mist came from the lovely Leanne.
Thanks for looking!

My friend Sharon showed me how to make molds and here is a mini frame she made for me.

I'm coming up
Here's the fun project we'll be working on next week in my home class. We're making a cute little felt embellishment and if you have felted with me before you'll see that this time we're using the easiest technique so far. We'll also make our own little glass pebbles and the masked background. This layout is perfect for little or big boys and their toys.
Here is a close-up of some of the fun embellies we'll make:

Our album in Scrapbook Creations #81
Today I bought my copy of Scrapbook Creations with the "not-so-mini album" that we created on Gilly's scrapbook birthday party. What a night and what fun! Renee Iveson, Gillian Lester, Michelle Fowler, Leanne Jago, Tracey St Johnwood and me were there. The theme was "Reasons I am me" and we each created a double page of a calico album using the Cherrylicious range from Sassafrass Lass.
Too bad not all the pages were included in the magazine, but you can see the rest of them on Gilly and Rennee's blog: http://www.nayandgilly.blogspot.com/
Why they chose to print my page over some of the other gorgeous ones is beyond me, but I am happy as that our fantastic project got published.

Take a break - Colour room palette #19
This layout was inspired by the Colour Room Palette #19. I love this colour combination and had to have a play with it.
Here is my layout with a photo of my son when he was 13 months old and normally full of energy. It was unusual for him to sit still like this. I wanted to keep the whole look fresh and uncluttered.
We'll be using this layout in class from August 24-27.
I used acetate and stamps to create the leaf overlay:
And there is a cute little stack of embellies in the corner. The zebra button used to be on his PJs and I covered the heart brad with glitter embossing powder.

welcome
This is my first entry, so exciting! I'd love to share my creations and class projects here for those who'd like to have a little sticky beak to see what I've been up to. I'll start posting some soon. But tomorrow is another wonderful Sunday in sunny Queensland and I plan to sleep in. Cheers!
