Peachy Keen for a new beginning!

Hi all! I will be missing in action for a little while but stay with me! I have not disappeared!

In one week my life has dramatically changed and I am relocating today to a new town 150km away. I will hopefully settle soon and the first thing I will unpack is a scrap area!

So this is my last creation for a little while. A fitting one. I am going to give this card to the first neighbour I meet in my new town.

I will arrive in style with two little spunkymonkey boys making lots of boy noise and I can only imagine what the reaction is going to be!   After living on 7 acres, the boys noise decibels reach inaudible levels at times... Living in town, on a small block... hmmmm.....

My poor future neighbours don't know what is coming. lol.

Anyway. I am sad to be leaving but always look on life's curb balls with a positive attitude, so the journey ahead is unknown, daunting but exciting too.

This card is to enter in Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge #49.
THE SKETCH

I used Funshine faces for my neighbours and a Retro face for me!

I also used a makeup sponge to ink the bricks.
Look at my poor scrap cutting mat!

See you soon! My next post will be when Jacob has reached Perth and is having fun with Carlene at Me n' Miss Pink Cricut!

Thanks Peachy Keen Challenge blog for always giving me the perfect reason to scrap!

Frosted Designs makes me want to do some Jitterbuggin too!

Settle in. I'm in my usual prattle-on-and-on mode.

Earth day is coming and Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge is all about re-using or re-purposing things in the home. I started my project this week but was so glad when this challenge was posted, as it re-motivated me to finish it!

Now my computer is telling me that "re-motivated" is NOT a word, but in the interest of scrappers worldwide... I think we should add it to the scrap lingo dictionary!!!! WHO's WITH ME??? ... too often we just need a little nudge to get through the tough part of a project.  I am officially re-purposing that word! Re-motivate me!

Earlier this week I was re-using the all forgotten CD cases as a new storage solution for my Peachy Keen Stamps... So this Frosted Designs challenge re-motivated me to finish the last few sets as a way of re-using my empty CD cases and my space effectively.

The above picture is also my entry for Jitterbuggin Bloom Where You Are Planted Challenge! This week they have a sketch challenge to add a cricut flower and some purple and pink!
I even added a bit of yellow pollen for their blushy cheeks!

I love seeing what the stamp looks like all chalked up, it's much easier to match to a picture when you are trying to visualise the stamp.  Inside view:

The photo below shows that I HAD magazines above my head... USELESS!!!

I'm not a see-and-copy kind of scrapper... I usually think outside the box that is outside another box!!! So magazines can go.
Not ONLY did I re-motivate myself to re-purpose my CD cases, I re-motivated myself to alter my re-purposed scrap table that I altered. It was from a computer desk from Office Works but I turned it into Scraplerium Scraptopia. (Yes, I made those words up, too).

I stuck some old CD Holder Thingys in -
(Please note: that is not the technical term).

And now I have my Peachies right where I can grab them!

PLUS - I also have my i-rock and watercolours underneath too now. Every spare millimetre accounted for. That's what I like!

SCRAPTOPIA!!!!

*such a beautiful sight*

Thanks so much Frosted Designs for the nudge I needed to get it done and also re-purpose my magazine section to a MUCH more user friendly system.

Thanks also to Jitterbuggin for the cute sketch and a chance to use some pink and purple! Too many boys in my house!

Peachy Keen Stamp Storage idea!

Here is my Peachy Keen stamp storage idea which I thought of while I was making a layout for Scrappy-go-Lucky, featured here. (Still a chance to win YOUR choice of Peachy Keens! Make sure you check it out!)
I wanted to make a system that showed each stamp in real size, with all the extras like chalking, gel pen, etc so I can see exactly what it looks like stamped.
Two reasons:
1) Although a little Obsessive Compulsive,  AKA - super organised, I'm actually lazy when it comes to packing away things. So everything needs a little place!
2) I am slightly shallow... I like things in my scrap room to be PRETTYYYYYY or I don't use it. Simple as that. Lol.

This is a CD case I've had FOREVER! And I love it so much I can not throw it out. So I'm putting it to good use! Plus, my i-pod created lots of empty CD cases for me... perfect solution!
So each CD case has a cover of stamps made up and on the edges have written the number Peachy Keen stamp they are, so I can reference them when I blog a layout.

 Everyday Character Faces 1 1/8 "

 Boy Mates
Do you like my knitted jumper with gel pens?... oh so cute.

 Wide Eyed Kids
Can you see some of my most inspiring bloggers?
Popsicle Toes and Pinky!
Carlene in the gold (I was her gold bridesmaid)
I'll cry if my cricut ever breaks.
I don't know who the envious one is!

Don't get your eyes checked... this photo is fuzzy!
Simple Simons.

Then I made a set for Baby Animal Faces to match New Arrivals cuts.
Haven't quite finished this set yet, I loaned it out.

Then I created a set for all my ABC Animal faces to match Zooballoo cuts. I also wrote what size cut for each animal suits the stamp.

On Wednesday I am having a 100th follower/1 million laughs celebration for my fun blogging achievements.
You can WIN the Zooballoo cartridge PLUS the ABC Animal Faces Peachy Keen stamps to match, just like this set!
I hope you'll stop by to visit then!

So I match each stamp underneath to be in line with the picture at the front. That way I can see where to put it back. (Don't tell me off for not cleaning those stamps well, they are hot off the stazon and my stamp cleaner isn't pretty enough!!!)

Now I'll have to keep making these CD cases for my NEW Peachy Keens arriving soon! I can't wait!

I'm also entering this stamp storage idea into the 'anything goes'  challenge #83 at PAPER CUTZ Challenge blog
And 'anything but a card' Challenge #126 at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.
Thanks ladies for the perfect challenge!
