Date w/ my 2 year old

Last night I had an enchanting date with a short pot-belly bald guy... and one of the cutest I've ever seen in a long time. Hunter, my soon to be 4 year old, was with Dad, and I took Tanner to my favorite fast food place, Chick-fill-A.

The converstion went smoothly, not many words, mostly sounds and funny gestures. We made faces through the windows at all the cars going through the drive thru. Later when we were loading up in the car, Tanner pointed to the sky and started yelling "ta! ta! ta!", then he kept looking at me to see if I understood. I just smiled. Then, when I was putting him in his car seat, he stiffened his little 2 year old body like a board and kept pointing through the car door at the sky "ta! ta!" Then I got it, "Star?". Then he responded with "stah", and relaxed enough for me to buckel him up. Hopeless romantic, just like him mom. Then, on the ride home, he says "up aba up aba", and starts singing his own version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I loved all the connections his little mind was making, and I loved that he wanted me to be a part of them.
