In order to prevent an Australian comedy show from making jokes about Prince Philip being a Nazi during the Royal Wedding, the Royals ordered broadcasters in Britain to enforce a media embargo that would have completely severed live coverage to Australia’s biggest broadcaster if they refused to cancel the satirical show.

That’s right – the British Royals have the power to enforce media censorship between Britain and other major countries of the world.

If this doesn’t indicate how much influence and power they still retain then nothing does.

DeLay was taken into custody, but will be released on a $10,000 bond pending appeal after he's processed, which means he could remain free for months or years as his appeal goes through.

Tom DeLay is back in court today for the “sentencing phase” of his trial.

Although DeLay “faces up to life in prison on the money laundering charge and up to 20 years on the conspiracy charge,” he is also “white” and “eligible for probation.”

And apparently many Experts believe he will receive probation.

Haha, oh f*ck. It would be simply beguiling if Tom DeLay spent even a week in prison, but God hates us so of course this won’t happen.

So yeah, just to recap: Tom DeLay is a corrupt public servant who laundered hundreds of thousands of dollars, and now he will probably have to volunteer at his local Humane Society.

Meanwhile, some black guy somewhere is spending twenty years behind bars for not calling a police officer “sir.”
