For You Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello crafty friends and Happy Thursday to you all! Cheryl here with a sweet card created for Cheery Lynn Designs using the darling Cats.  I LOVE their tails and how they make a heart shape around the sentiment. Also used several other Cheery Lynn dies, and I will list them below for you.

On my card I started by cutting out both the cats in 2 different design papers, then used perfect pearls over them both to give some glitz to both kitties.  Next I added a sweet little flower to the left one, and it's from the Tiny Flower Kit die. I also made up the flowers from the same die using pink paper, used perfect pearls to them, and added a viva pearl dot to the center of each. The greenery was distressed with green ink and then colored with perfect pearls green.  Then I added the branches using the wreath strip.

The brown frame is from the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame, and then the white was also cut using the same die set. I distressed the white one with pink ink.

Feline Good Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Tuesday to you all! Today I have this super darling card made with Cheery Lynn's DARLING dies, I just LOVE this Small Cat die, and the Mirror Mirror Doily frame I used for my sentiment. Well I love it all....hehehee.  I always love using fancy frames, and this Cheery Lynn die is perfect!

To start with I cut my Small Cat out using the coordinating Graphic45 design paper, how perfect this kitty is, she goes perfectly with the design paper. I did add some distressing, Viva Pearl pen for an eye, nose, and on the ears and tail. Next I distressed her using red ink.

Flowers on cat- I used the Tiny Flower Kit Die, and cut out some flowers to go along with my kitty. The greenery is the Flourish #8 Die, and I just cut a piece of it, and colored it green. All pieces were glued using the Best Glue Ever found at Cheery Lynn Designs, LOVE this glue, it's honestly a must have to any crafters collection!

Frame- I have to say this is one of my NEW favorites, not that its newly released, but new to my collection...hehehe.  It's perfect for layering, I will get a lot of use out of this one for sure. I used it to cut out a brown doily frame, it's dark brown.  Then I used the other 2 dies to cut coordinating design paper for my sentiment frame. All 3 pieces come in this die set, love that too! Stamp is from The Project Bin.

Heart-Sweetheart candy die was used for this. Cut in coordinating design paper. This die is perfect to use all year round.

Butterfly In- used for the corner, it's so pretty and comes out of the die so smoothly. Love that about Cheery Lynn's dies, they come out so easy, no poking and trying to get the delicate pieces out.

I did add some sewing in a coordinating color to each layer. and lastly I added a bow was made with Really Reasonable Ribbon Satin, for my embellishing on my card :)

Celebrate Easter with Cheryl Walker

1:00 AM 1 Comments
Hello Crafty Friends, Cheryl here with a sweet Pop Up Easter Card designed for Cheery Lynn Designs using some super darling dies they carry. LOVE the sweet bunny and chicks together, aren't they just darling???!!!! I think I used 9 Cheery Lynn Dies on this one...hehehe I really had a lot of fun designing this card to share with you all!

On my card I started with cutting the sweet bunny out using design papers for her. Next I did distress her and her dress.  She is so cute, love her! I will use her on other cards, not just for Easter. She does have one of the Tiny Flowers made from the tiny flower die. The chicks were cut using white card stock and then colored in with 2 yellow Copic markers. I can totally see them cut in a yellow batik or some kinda 2 tone yellow print card stock, and then distressed, that would be so cute. I did add eyes using the Viva Pearl Pen in black. Also another flower on one of the chicks.

Greenery was cut using the Olive branches and Flourish #3 dies, and cut with a olive tone card stock. I added little flowers made using the Tiny Flower kit to the greenery. I also used a LOVE Heart from the Sweetheart Candy die.

The frame was cut using 2 different dies for my scenery and sentiment. I chose to use the beautiful Mirror Mirror Doily Frame die, and the Scandinavian Oval Doily. Sentiment is from ODBD.

Goodbyes....With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone! Its Lisa back today sharing a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs.
So many times I need a last minute card for a loss for someone. I have used this sentiment in the past for a colleague leaving. Yet, I was thinking that it is a beautiful sentiment for a loss of a loved one or a pet. That was my inspiration using the beautiful angel "wings"

The oval "mirror mirror doily" has such a detailed frame and the perfect inside for any sentiment. When I think of a loss I often think of the color green....I guess back to earth....

Closer views.
Sharing the paw print stamp with the detailed "circle".
Sorry about the color changes.....late in the evening....
Added a few pearls and ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Hope you were inspired but not saddened....
Have a great Friday!
Hugs Lisa

Time to Start Thinking about Valentines!

3:30 AM 3 Comments
What could be prettier than a tag all dressed in roses?  I've layered up Graphic 45's Mon Amour papers to create a gorgeous romantic tag.

I use so many layers that sometimes they're hard to see!  Starting at the bottom is the tag base layer, the one with the tiny pink roses on it.  On top of that I add a black print diecut using Horizon Coved Rectangle Boutique Stacker Frames Die.  Next is a pink print layer just peeking out around the corners cut with  the A2 Frames Rectangular Scalloped 7 Piece Die Set .  On top of that is a floral layer cut with Pierced Stacker 3 6 Piece Die Set - XL21, topped with an oval cut using the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame 3 Piece Die Set.

Then I added that pretty sentiment tag.  I ruffled that up and put a double layer of foam tape on the back to pop it up in the center and curled opposing corner edges.  Next I made two sizes of roses using the Large Rose 7 Piece Die Set  and the  Medium- Rose 7 Piece Die Set.  I embellished those with pretty flourishes using the Flourish #11 Die  and leaves from the Floral Bouquet Kit 8 Piece Die Set.  Top it off with a pretty tied bow and you've got a sweet romantic tag to put with a nice gift of chocolate or champagne.  Whatever your sweetie loves!

Shaking It Up with Maggi

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Have you seen the fabulous new shaker card kits from Cheery Lynn Designs?  I've used the Champagne Bottle Shaker Card Kit to make this tag.  The kit comes with everything you need to make a shaker:  dies, foam, acetate, and even some cool shakers!  Even better, you can buy the individual pieces separately.

Here's a closeup of the shaker which I filled with hearts and congrats shakers from Cherry Lynn.  I also added some bling pieces for fun.

When I make tags I like to layer them up and use foam or cardboard to pop them up.  On this tag I used a base paper cut from Prima's Romance Novel on the tag, then from the bottom up, I layered the Priscilla Doily, the middle size Horizon Coved Rectangle, and the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame.  I topped that with the champagne bottle shaker and added a pretty bow. Presto!  You've got a fun tag to accompany a wedding gift.  You could put different shakers inside and this would be a great tag for a New Year's Eve bash hostess gift.  The Champagne Bottle Shaker kit comes with champagne bottle and glass shakers.

I appreciate you stopping by today, thanks so much!

Yellow Rose Greeting Card by Ginny Nemchak

3:00 AM 1 Comments

Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here to share a card I created with the fabby Cheery Lynn Designs Dies, layered patterned papers and a little mixed media. This card starts with an A2 sized card base with a generous amount of texture paste embossing. Then the layering begins....lots of patterns separated by solids, additional dies for texture, Stickles, vintage buttons and trim.

This lovely flower is created with the Rose and Leaves Die. A little bending and pulling and it took a nice shape then I filled in some of the gaps with Mercury Glass Stickles.  There's more glitter on the leaves as well.
In the very background I've added a Mirror Mirror Doily Frame cut from white cardstock. For the focal section there's a French Pastry Doily cut from the patterned paper. I love the script. This doily was too wide for where I wanted to put it so I clipped a small bit of the side off....and flipped around the extra little piece and layered  it on as well. You can never have enough layers!
Adding the Fanciful Flourish Left die cut from white helps to fill the space and create the illusion of a larger flower arrangement.
I created a little more texture for the background with the Lattice Die glued down to the patterned paper and trimmed to size.
I'm not going to go as far as saying this card is monochromatic....but it's low contrast makes it seem very vintagy and dreamy.

Okay that's all for me. Wishing all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

A warm hello to all you Cheery Lynn fans. It's Debbie back with you from Debbie's Time Out. I hope you are having a nice sunny day. Today I am featuring the Crafty Ann Collection's Card Cover Maker #4 as well as the detailed CLD Dream Catchers #1.
I started my base with a white piece of cardstock. I die cut the Card Cover Maker #4 from the center of the paper. I then embossed around the edge using the Oval IOE Plates and the Frame It Embossing Folder. There was a bit of space at each end which I added a couple of embossed lines to by using a ScorPal.
I added  a flower matting  and green matting to the back of my base.
I have layered the center of the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame (Set of 3) to the center of the card. The sentiment Love and You  were layered onto the doily.

Dream Big with Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi, it's Jenny posting today with a card that evolved from a piece of patterned paper.  The paper is covered in blue-green, orange and pink circles.  I tried to match the same colors in the flowers, words and butterfly.

I first cut the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame with green patterned paper and turned it sideways.  I cut a center out of a cream card stock that matched the 5.5" card base and layered it on top, popped up with foam adhesive.  I added the Dream Big Phrase and the butterfly from Small Exotic Butterflies #2 and colored them with pink distress ink.

The white flowers were cut using the Shasta Daisy die and shaped by using a stylus and molding mat on the centers..  The little orange-pink Sweet Christine flowers were tucked into the arrangement and glued using a double sided tape.  I added rhinestone and pearl centers to the flowers. The leaves are from the Flourish Leaf Strip and were colored with distress ink.

In One Yesterday Card with Corina Finley

3:30 AM 5 Comments

Hello, Corina here with you today to host the blog!

For todays card, I decided to play with my new Mirror Mirror Doily Frame die and the Stacker Flower 5 die. - I used a turquoise pattern paper, white cardstock, a little turquoise ink and of course my Cheery Lynn Dies to create this card.

I layered the background using a die from the A2 Frames Rectangular Classic to die cut a turquoise pattern paper panel and white cardstock panel. I distressed the edges and adhered them on to my white cardstock base. The Mirror Mirror Doily Frame went on next.

I stamped my sentiment with black ink on to the Sentiment Tag 2 (Set of 3) and layered it upon a turquoise die cut from the same set - one size larger. Then pop-dotted to the center of the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame.

To form my floral arrangement, I used the two layers of the Stacker Flower 5 and then the Shasta Daisy on top. Tucked in a mix of foliage die cuts with some flourishes from the center of the Celtic Oval Frame die.

Added Rhinestones to finish it off!

Dies Used:

I hope you will play along in our weekly Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 179 - Flowers.  You could win a $20 shopping spree at the online Cheery Lynn Design Store.
Thanks for joining me today!
