Isn’t he just adorable!!! This is a D’Amour Allure rubber stamp called Lil’ Cowboy and is available at McMahon Five Designs. The fun Prima burlap flower is from the store as well. And I colored the little buckaroo Copics.
That’s it for now. I don’t have much to say tonight because I’m kind of worried about an area about 15 miles away from my home. There is a large wildfire in an inhabited area near Eagle, Idaho. I’ve been watching it on the news for about 2-1/2 hours now. It’s very sad. They have reported that only 3 homes have been confirmed burned but I think that’s an old estimate. People are aware that they live in a fire prone area and have green/defensible areas, thank goodness. They just now said that 2,500 acres have been burned. The good news is that no one has been hurt or killed. Say prayers for everyone, will ya’.
Updated later in the evening. Four homes were damaged, three were a total loss. There were no injuries. Several homes were saved by the firefighting efforts. There was one case where the fire was heading towards a home and the aircraft dropped fire retardant at the property line and those homeowners only lost a couple of fence posts. Another, there was a barn on fire and the firefighters were clearing a defensible space WHILE the barn was burning so that the home was not damaged. The fire is pretty much out but the firefighters will remain all night to put out any hot spots so the fire doesn’t restart. Thanks so much for your concerns and prayers.
Blessings,
Christine

Adorable Christine and your coloring is great!
I've been watching about the fires too. We used to live up there, last house off willow creek up on top of the hill. I'm wondering if the house was spared? I'm glad no one was hurt.
Such a beautiful card with a really cute image.
So sorry to hear of the fire, it must be so frightening not only for those involved but also for you to watch. I am so glad the were no injuries.

Your card is gorgeous. I know how you feel about the fires - they are so devastating and they leave you feeling kind of powerless against them. Sounds like you have some very brave and capable firefighters there though. Thanks for playing our Sentimental Sundays challenge this week. ~chris
That was a tense night around here, wasn't it? We had our weekly cooking class and I wasn't completely aware of what was going on until is was over, but yikes! So glad the damage wasn't worse and that no lives were lost.
I think firefighters are among the most amazingly heroic people on earth. I just love them, and not only because of the uniform... ;-)
Oh! And I love your sweet little buckaroo, too!
Big hugs,
Linda
Christine! This little buckaroo turned out sooooo darling! He just makes me SMILE!
