Hotspot Challenge

It’s my second month on the Hotspot Challenge DT!  This challenge is co-hosted Studio 313 and McMahon Five Designs.

The challenge is Oscar themed this month (I’m actually sitting here watching the Red Carpet show right now and seeing all the beautiful dresses worn by all the stars.).  You are to choose from several pictures of dresses worn by Halle Berry.  I chose this one for my inspiration.

I took inspiration from the colors in the skirt and the flowing style and wanted to go with a butterfly image using Prima Fairy Floral paper.  Sadly, Sue is out of it in the store and won’t be able to get anymore.  She told us about it a couple of days ago and I think my DT sisters must have gone over and bought every bit of it!

When I saw this image in a recent release, I new I wanted to paint her soon using some pretty pastel Twinkling H2Os.  In addition to the DP, I’ve also used a Prima Pebble and sweet orchids!

There are several other pictures to choose from so go on over to the Challenge at the Hotspot.  I sure hope you can find time to play along this month!!!

Let the Paper Do the Work

When I saw this beautiful Prima Fairy Flora paper, I just couldn’t bare to cut into it, so I just cut it down to size and let IT be the card!  prima beauty And talking about Prima, everything you see, except the sentiment, is Prima and is available in the McMahon Five Designs store.  The pretty pink and green trim is Prima Jemie ribbon and the beautiful butterfly can be found here.  The yellow velvet ribbon is also Prima, but isn’t available in the store.  The sentiment is PTI.

Sue has gotten a lot of new things in the store.  She sent me some fun things, plus I order a lot more!!!  I can’t wait to share them with you!!!

I hope you have a great Friday!!!

Blessings,

Christine
