Kaisercraft Bombay Sunset cards

I made these Boho styled cards at the weekend based on instructions from Alicia McNamara from Papercraft Secrets.  I used Kaisercraft Bombay Sunset papers, and gold glitter card on a Hibiscus die as the floral embellishment.  Finished off with Kaisercraft Blooms and wooden flourishes.  Very bright and cheery cards

After finishing the cards, I thought I would jazz them up a little bit and make coordinating envelope liners.  This finishes off the cards beautifully

No photo description available.

With the little strip of paper left over from the envelope liver, I added it to the inside of the card.

Three of the cards with the matching envelopes.

I hope to be able to use up all this paper pad before I move onto the next, fingers crossed.

Hope you had a great day

Male cards

I am always running short on cards for the male members of my family, so last weekend I completed three.  Need a lot more, but at least I have started.

Two cards have been made using Kaisercraft Factory 42 papers and collectibles.

And the last card used Kaisercraft Mountain Air paper and collectibles.

I have had a request to make a 80th birthday card with a fishing theme, fingers crossed I can get it done this weekend.  With the Easter and school holidays it has been a busy time, and very little time to craft.

Enjoy your day

Kaisercraft Whisper Cards

I started off the base of these cards using instructions from Alicia McNamara from Papercraft Secrets, link here,  however I ended up adding my own spin to a lot of the cards.  Here are two of the cards I made, and I did make the total of ten cards.  Love the neutral colours in this collection

I will show the remaining cards in the next few days, they still need to have the inserts finished.
Hope you are having a crafty week

Enjoy your day

Weekend papercraft retreat

I had a lovely weekend at a papercraft retreat.  I made a lot of cards, well I think it was only 12 but that is still a good start.  I also played with my inks and watercolours which I will show you over the next few days.

I have made two 70th birthday cards, both for the same guy...so I had to made them with different themes.

I am happy with how they turned out.

The card on the left is a quick easel card, using Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe papers and the one on the right was stamped using Darkroom Door Golfer stamp and them lightly inked with Distress Oxide Inks.

Centre Step Cards

I was experimenting with a centre step card last week and was extremely happy with the result.  I followed a tutorial on YouTube but unfortunately I cannot find the link (I will update the post if I can find it to give credit where it is due)

UPDATE:  This is the link to make the step card -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAyFwBQh8-g

The instructions were to use a pre-folded card base and Kaisercraft collectibles pack, and boy was it easy.

This was my first card, pretty pinks

The second card was in blues and gave a different effect altogether

Both these cards are being donated to the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer fund raising.  The group of ladies that I craft with usually make about 50 cards for the committee to sell.  It is a great opportunity to help a good cause and try many new card ideas.

I can imagine Christmas cards, birthday cards etc using this technique.

Happy crafting

Masculine cards

I quite often hear and read about people having trouble making cards for males.  I do not have the same trouble as I have a lot of stamps that I can use.

The following two cards were created using Darkroom Door Classic Motorcycle stamp set and Kaisercraft Checker Plate embossing folder.

I love the way they turned out. What do you think|?

Another two Christmas cards

I have made another two Christmas cards using the Kaisercraft Christmas Jewels paper and collectibles.  I love this mauve colour.

Very simple cards, using a Memory Box Open Studio collage die for the accents.

Till next time.

As promised yesterday, here are the cards we made using the Factory 42 pre-release papers from Kaisercraft.

Aren't they great, they could be used for any occasion. Cannot wait to get my hands on the new dies that are part of this collection.

Until next time,

Kaisercraft - August Collections

I was lucky enough to be able to play with the pre-release Kaisercraft August Papers for their upcoming two new collections.

1. Christmas Jewels - beautiful mauve & silver tones for Christmas
2. Factory 42 - Cogs, Gears - very manly

My sister Sue, a friend Desley, and myself decided to make two cards from each of the collections. Each totally different, but all great as the papers are truly beautiful and make it very easy to create stunning cards.

I will show the results from the Christmas Jewels papers today and then tomorrow the Factory 42 ones.  Warning - lots of photos ...

What a great start to our Christmas cards

Until tomorrow

Christmas Cards

I have made all my Christmas cards this year, each one unique.  Next year I think I may decide on a theme and make the same card with a lot of different colourways.  Do you make your own cards?

Card 1.  - Using Christmas Sleigh die from Kaisercraft

Card 2 - Using Happy Christmas die from Kaisercraft

Card 3 - Stamped card, using Santa stamp from Verses Stamp Company, and Snowflake stamp from Kaisercraft

Reminder - my online store is closing in just ONE weeks time - if you want a bargain, pop on over and have a look.

Stamps, Kaisercraft Dies, lots of buttons and rusty bells still available

Until next time

Card 5 - Stamping and Using Embellishments

The last couple of cards from the card making day last Sunday are entirely different, we both went off on individual tangents.

I wanted to try stamping all over a card to see the effect - and I must admit I love the end result.
Using another stamp from the Darkroom Door Yuletide set, I used a pewter stamp and went to town. A little sentiment in the corner and the job was done.

Sue's card - in this example she was showing me how to use embellishments and paper to get a great effect.  She used Kaisercraft Basecoat Christmas Journal Cards on the following card

These cards are great as they are double sided, and are small enough to use without any trimming.
