Birthday Card

I can show this card now, I made it for my sisters birthday . Magnolia Lane papers and embellishments were used. Another 'pretty' card, so unlike my usual style.  I love the lace behind the embellishments, it seemed to really suit the layout

I want to make some more Christmas cards, so that I have them ready when December rolls around.  The way this year is speeding by, it will be here before we know it.  Do you plan this far ahead for Christmas?

I love this next graphic from Heartfelt Creations ... I can really relate to it!  I can only imagine what is hiding in my craft room.

Enjoy your day

Christmas Cards - What?

It is never to early to start making your Christmas cards! I have fussy cut the picture from a 'bought' card to enhance this one. I have stamped the background many times with a Snowflake stamp from Darkroom Door.   To be honest I think the card looks better in real life than the photo depicts, but I may be a little biased.

From Darkroom Door : Being creative is not a hobby, it's a way of life. One of their new Quote Stamps over a Distress Ink background! Who agrees?

Enjoy

'Thinking of You' card

A pretty little card this morning - I like this sentiment as it can be used for many occasions.

Nice soft colours, and with the floral paper from Magnolia Lane on the bottom it is very soft and feminine.  I am really liking this new card making craft although I must admit it is at the expense of my sewing machine.  I have had some little tea wallets sitting on my sewing table, all cut out ready to go for at least two weeks now.  I WILL finish them this week!

The following quote was found on Facebook, what do you think?  I must admit, I like everything mentioned (smiles)

Till next time

Wild storms

Well, all my plans to get my craft room tidied up went out the window, when we had a wild wind storm late Saturday afternoon.  It only lasted about 10 minutes but it did a heap of damage.  Not just at my home but to a lot of other houses in town.  Trees down, power lines down, some still have not had power restored after 48 hours ...

I had larges branches fall on my clothes line, and in the front garden.

Some of the branches pulled off the garden

One big limb fell across the front garden

What was left of the tree after it had crashed onto the clothes line.  Notice how bent out of shape the clothes line is now?

I was lucky that a tree lopping company was visiting a neighbour across the road for a routine cleanup, so I asked if they could assist and remove all the debris.  They did, lucky for me.

My damage was tiny compared to a lot of other houses, so I am extremely grateful

Take care
Judy

Second little girl card

I had my 'test' coloured in girl from my previous card sitting on my table and decided it to use it on another card. I fussy cut the stamped image out and popped it up on this card.
I am happy with the result, and I also got to use some of my buttons

I hot glued the buttons on the card to ensure that they would not fall off.

Bandana Bibs

Well, I did get some sewing completed yesterday - more bandanna bibs for this cool dude. My niece's son Finn. He is wearing one that I made when they came for a visit last month.

I have just used some basic "boy" type fabric from my stash, although next month I will look for some more trendy pieces of fabric.  I just need to sort through ALL my fabric a bit better.

The next job on my list is to make up 10 Elf kits for a workshop to be held at the end of April.  If I start now, I might be ready by then! ha ha.

Till next time

Early morning card making

I seem to make some of my better cards at 4:00 am when I cannot sleep.  This card is based on a tutorial in the 'quick cards' magazine. I used Momento markers to colour in.

I love the soft pastel colours in this card.  Now I hope I can stay awake enough to do a little sewing later today

Windmill card

Another card using sponging technique and Darkroom Door windmill stamp. Inspiration for this card taken from Theresa from 'Crafting The Web'
Windmill stamp and the Momento stamp pads used are available in store.

I love using my ink pads with sponges, you can get some great results

Wetlands Cards

It is hard to make cards with a injured thumb on your dominate hand. Nail accidentally ripped off, ouch!
One stamp, Wetlands by Stampin-up, four different cards

Card making is fun, and quick and easy

Loving this new craft of mine
