The Missed Mojo Monday

Hello Crafty Friends,

I meant to post this yesterday for Mojo Monday's sketch/contest, but I went to the walk -in clinic and the 2 meds that I received knocked me out for most of the afternoon and all night. Bummer! As long as they work I am okay with missing the deadline...this time!

I made another thank you card for my stash. I really liked this sketch and had planned on making a few more of this design in a variety of colors. I even added a few black skittles (by Carri at DoubleClick) and red gems. The flower is by Paper Studio (I substituted a red brad in the center.).

The stitched circle is by My Favorite Things. I cut the sentiment on my Cameo.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks...You Can Never Have Too Many

Hello Crafty Friends,

We had a busy morning here...had to take the daughter to Tack Shack and buy some new riding gear (Ariat tall boots and a helmet). She hasn't had anything new in YEARS, so it was time. She is hoping to compete one day and with the fabulous instructor she now has, she should do well!

Seems like I NEVER have enough thank you cards. I needed one yesterday and didn't have any available. Isn't that always the way. Time to create a small stash!

Here is the first one...

I used the Stick It Down sketch. First time I am joining this challenge, but I am hoping to make it regularly. I think the sketch changes once a month.

I used Scribble Roses and a stitched circle by My Favorite Things. The sentiment was cut on my Cricut ~ "Just Because" Cards.
Other Challenges:

Time to get busy and work on a Design Team project now!
Have a great night and enjoy your Sunday!

DoubleClick Skittles Challenge ~ House Plant Appreciation

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by! School went well with the students and they worked hard yesterday.  We are actually working on plants this week, which is perfect for today. It ties right into our DoubleClick Skittles Challenge.

This Week's Challenge...
Flower, Tree, or Plant

Here is my Design Team project...
I used my new My Favorite Things goodies I just recently received (some for Christmas and some was happy mail with a return from Christmas). The scalloped background is from Blueprint #20. Then I created the background with Tim Holtz distress inks to create a grass and sky scene. These flowers are made from the Build-able Bloom set. I used Versa Magic ink ~ Pixie Dust, Tea Leaves, and Sea Breeze.

The sentiment is from My Favorite ThingsTickled Pink set.

I used a shell pink skittle for the center flower.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the "Flower, Tree, or Plant" challenge at DoubleClick Skittles. Be sure to check out the other projects by the Design Team.

Thanks for stopping by!

Die Cuttin' Diva ~ January 2016 Sketch

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome to the first challenge of 2016 at Die Cutin Divas. We are happy to be able to continue another year of fabulous challenges and to offer Design Team inspiration. Hope you will be able to join us this week and throughout the new year!

This Week's Challenge...
January 2016 Sketch

Here is my Design Team project...
A square based card featuring My Favorite Things ~ Forget Me Not set. The pattern paper is by DCWV ~ Winter in the Woods stack. I like the gold matting and stitched circle.

First, I cut all the flower pieces with my Cuttlebug. Then I stamped the stem and flowers with my VersaMagic stamps (Sea Breeze and Tea Leaves). I created a triple bow from some twine and adhered it to the lower stem.

The sentiment is by MFT ~ Whimsical Wishes stamp set and I used gold sparkle embossing powder.
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "January 2016 Sketch" challenge. The other design team members did an amazing job interpreting this sketch. Be sure to check out the variety!

Thanks for stopping by!

How About a Movie and Some Popcorn?

Hello Everyone!

Happy Saturday! The weather is a bit gloomy today since a cold front has come through (glad it is at the end of Winter Break and not the beginning), so what better way to spend the day but with a movie and some popcorn. My hubby LOVES to watch movies! The bigger the screen and the louder the sound...the better! Sometimes I wonder if the neighbors can hear what he is watching...right now it is Jurassic World! GRRR...can you hear the dinosaurs?!?!

This popcorn gift card holder by SVG Cutting Files is perfect for him! I cut all the pieces with my Cameo.

I inked all the edges of the popcorn pieces with a brown.

The glasses are 3D of course! Can't watch a movie without "things" flying out at you!

The inside holds a gift certificate, but I put his most recent movie ticket in it.
Challenges:

Have you been to the movies recently? What is your all-time favorite movie?

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year! It's 2016!

Hello Crafty Friends,

Hope you enjoyed the first day of the new year. We went to Dillard's BIG sale this morning and found a few good deals (hubby and I will be looking good when we go back to school next week). Then we went to lunch. Once we got home I was able to craft. I am really pleased with how my card turned out today. I am even thinking about making a few more (perhaps in different colors) for my co-workers.

I used the My Favorite Things Zig Zag Stitched Square as the base and then cut the Miss Kate Cuttables year title with my Cameo. I used Ebony embossing powder by Recollections with the My Favorite Things ~ Encouraging Words stamp set on a piece of vellum. The sentiment on the pennant (made with a MFT fishtail) is computer generated. A few black sequins were scattered to add pizzazz.

The inside 0f the card and envelope coordinate with cover.
