Piggies for You

Hello Everyone,
It's Wednesday, which means we are halfway through the week. I have Coaching Institute training for a couple days this week and then again a couple days next week; therefore, the new school year is just around the corner. Summer vacation will be coming to an end sooner than later.

The challenge at Craftaholics R Us begins today. So does the challenge at Pause Dream Enjoy. Let's combine the challenges for more fun!

This Week's Challenge...

Here are my Design Team projects...
I chose a piggie file from My Scrap Chick. It includes three different projects and I made two of them. The first one is a tag which is attached to a Jaded Blossom purse. I went to the store (Publix) and these Hershey treats were BOGO. Such an awesome deal!

I inked all the edges of the pig with Tim Holtz distress ink ~ spun sugar and the yellow circle was inked with squeezed lemonade.

The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Chocoholic set.

This card was created using MFT stitched rectangle dies, gray polka dot paper by Echo Park, and the yellow organza ribbon is from my stash.

I used my Cameo to cut the pig.

The stamped sentiment is by MFT ~ Sow Much Cuteness set.
Other Challenges:
Craft-Dee BowZ ~ Anything Goes with a Bow
Crafty Animals ~ Anything Goes
DL.ART ~ July Linky Party
Sunny Day Crafting ~ Animals

Hope you will join us at Craftaholics R Us and Pause Dream Enjoy this week since you can combine the two challenges together. Be sure to check out the other crafty creations.

Stay Creative,

Oink! Oink! It's Amore!

Hello and Happy Sunday!

Today I am sharing a Valentine card I made. This cute Valentine pig is by Miss Kate Cuttables. I use my Cameo to cut all the layered pieces. There are 10 other animals in this series if you like this one.

All the layers line up nicely and adhere easily. I inked all the edges with a dark pink ink to make it pop a bit more. My pig is also mounted on foam dots to add dimension.

The tab is from MFT Blueprints #15 and the stamped sentiment is an oldie from K Andrews. A little twine and a few raspberry enamel dots are in the corners.

The stamped sentiment on the inside is by Jaded Blossom ~ Valentine Treats set.
Challenges:

Hope you have a great day. Be warm and safe! I am hoping to get a few projects completed and then I have a mountain of notebooks to grade.

I'm Hog Wild

Hello Again Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by.  Looking forward to having some fun and getting my hands a little dirty this summer just like this pig in the mud. I plan on doing some more yard work in the back yard (it was like a jungle until last weekend), I am going to get some stencils and some inks (thanks to Karen at Little Scrap Pieces), and I am going to do some de-cluttering around the house. Lots of dirty work!

I think she is having fun!

I have been slowly adding to my stitched die collection, but so does my wish list. I used the Jaded Blossom card mat for this background. The stamped sentiment is from My Craft Spot ~ Down on the Farm set.
Other Materials:
pink, brown, and white card stock
green/white gingham pattern paper
kraft/white twine
green enamel dots
pink pearls
Ranger Archival ink ~ potting soil

Challenges:

Have a fabulous day!

Thanks From a 4-H Gal

Wow!
I have been visiting so many crafty friends during the past couple of days that I am overly impressed with all the creativity. It amazes me how much talent and variety there is. Can't wait to see more!

I am back from my friend's house. We planned two more weeks of Physical Science (static electricity, circuits, and insulators/conductors) and she already wants to get together again to plan the next unit. Phew! I told her I needed a break, so I could go craft. Of course, she understood ESPECIALLY since she liked her classroom door sign. She said I should be selling them, but I think I am going to make another one for a different teacher friend instead. I'd rather show them how much I appreciate them. : )

I have recently become friends with a 4-H gal who raised a pig for the fair and she asked to make her a Thank You card. I told her "Sure!"
I sent her this picture after I made the card and she asked for 5 total. Yeah! My husband told me he wanted one for a teacher at his school becuase her last name is Swineheart. He said, "You get it? Swine like a pig?" Okay, I will make him one too as long as I don't get any more of his funny jokes. : )

Materials:
Counrty Life cartridge ~ countryside (p. 72) cut at 3"
Animal Kingdom cartridge ~ pig (p. 84) cut at 2"
WinterWoodland cartridge ~ circles cut at 1 1/2"
cardstocks (pink, yellow, greens, brown, and cream) are from scrap box
pink and yellow brads
wiggly eyes
thanks stamp
brown ink pad

Did you see Carri's Birthday Celebration is coming in February?
I know it is early, BUT why not let the party begin now. : )
Stop by to say "Hi!" to that BusyBee. She always has neat projects, giveaways, and design team information.

Off to make another "Thank You" card. This request... it has to be bright and full of bling. Ooooh, how I love to make cards!
