Treasured Friend
I know, you are probably tired of hearing it, but these last few weeks have made me REALLY appreciate the good friends I have in my life. Speaking of Treasured Friends (it's the name of the stamp set!), my friend Kisa is one that I treasure! She is sweet, kind and OH SO funny! That girl can make me laugh on the worst of days. She made this stamp set... I'm so proud of her.
Those girls are separate, so you can stamp them any way you want. In the frame, out of the frame, either way they are adorable. For this card, I put both of them on one acrylic block so I just stamped them once. Look close at the sand... can you see the Sparkly Fluff? I added little dots of glue with my Quickie Glue Pen, then sprinkled on the Sparkly Fluff, then tapped off the excess. I added some sponging around the frame with Faded Jeans Distress Ink and colored the sand and girls with Copic Markers (E33, E00, E15, Y000). I stamped the shells with white craft ink. I distressed the edges with a distressing tool.
Have a super day! Tomorrow, is another OCL Design Team Sketch! Hope you can play along!

Thanks Girls!
Today, I want to say a huge thank you for all the cards I've received since my Grandmother passed away. I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to have so many awesome friends out there. Thank you! Averie LOVED getting the mail each day and helping me open the envelopes. Through the pain of my loss, I continue to feel so blessed.
Today, I'm sharing a card that I made using the new stamp set called Pretty Petals and the Big Thanks set from the last release. I love the little bugs that come in this gorgeous flower set. The designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket, the cardstock from Bazzill. I used Copic markers for all the coloring and added dots to the center of the brad with my Sakura Black Glaze pen. Of course the bugs are all glittered up with Crafty Sparkles. The big scallops along the bottom is made with one of my new EK Success border punches from MOT.
The winner of the 6 jars of Sparkly Fluff is:

New Summer Sneak Peeks!
Hey Stampers! Sorry I've been gone for awhile. I've had a really rough few weeks. My wonderful, cherished, superwoman of a Grandma passed away unexpectedly. I'm really sad and still in shock, but mostly feeling really blessed that I had such a wonderful woman in my life.... up the street since I was 9 and during the last few years right next door. I will miss her in my life every day.... but continue to remind myself how blessed we are to have had her as long as we did.
Now for the some good news! New stamps! Our Craft Lounge is having sneak peeks the rest of the week! Check out all these great stampers today! Make sure to leave a comment, because each blogger will have blog candy to give away at the end of the week. Don't forget to hit The Lounge to see the complete sets each day.

OCLDT09 Friday Sketch Challenge
Hey Stampers! It's Friday! TGIF! I found some time to play along with the sketch challenge! This time, we sketched a card from the fabulous Miss Kisa Peters! LOVE everything that girl makes... even her cookies! *wink*
I hope you can play along with us! See the sketch and the rules over at The Lounge. You could win a free stamp set!
For this card, I used the stamp set called In Flight. I colored the image with Copic Markers, sponged the edges with my sponge tool... added some Perfect Pearls to the butterfly, then covered the whole thing with Distress Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint. How cool is that stuff? You just paint it on and watch it dry and crack. I used Old Paper and Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket.
Hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

OCLDT08 Finally!
It's been a crazy week... again! Grandma did well in surgery, although she was not happy that she had to stay a couple nights in the hospital, she is home now and doing really well. Again, she continues to amaze me...she truly is a super woman!
I'm late for the sketch for last Friday, but just in time for a new one this Friday. I got it done!! I almost copied the sketch exactly, I just switched out the stamp set, changed the paper, and moved that ribbon up on top since I cut the designer paper too short. Want to play along? You try any of the sketches for April to be included in the drawing for a free stamp set May 1st. Just head over the The Lounge!
Can you see the Sparkly fluff? I added Black Eyeliner Sparkly Fluff to the cow's spots, and Rockstar Red on the heart that the little bird is carrying.
To make the frame, just use any two Nesties. I used Curved Rectangle Nestabilities. Lay them both over your cardstock nested, then run it through. Easy peasy! The stamp set is from our CHA relase called Ei-Ei Hello. The designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket (Bloomers and Sunshine).
I'm super excited about our Summer Release...we've been working hard to finish it up. It will be available soon! Thanks for stopping by! See ya on Friday (hopefully)

OCLDT 07 Friday Sketch... a little late.
Wow, this week kicked my bootie! Sorry it's been so long since I posted. I had to run my Grandma to the ER early in the week. After a short hospital stay, she was able to come home, but she has to go back on Monday for surgery. She's having a large hernia repaired on her belly and hopefully, she'll have a speedy recovery and be back to feeling better. Saturday my baby turned 17! So hard to believe that it was 17 years ago that my life would forever be changed. He is such a wonderful kid and I feel blessed to be his Mom. We had a nice dinner on Saturday with a birthday celebration. Of course most of today was filled with Easter fun. The kids never get tired of hunting for eggs! Even the boys! Sheldon even caved and helped his sister find eggs.
So, that brings me to the Friday Our Craft Lounge Design Team Sketch that I missed out on. I opened up some designer paper from My Mind's Eye, and two stamp sets from Our Craft Lounge. Pat the Dog, and Big Birthday Wishes. The designer paper already had some distressing on the edges, so I used my Ranger Sponge Tool and some Old Paper Distress Ink to make the edges distressed on my main image. I'm getting so addicted to that... it's so easy! I used Coffee Bean Brown Sparkly Fluff on Pat's Spots and paper pieced the heart.
I hope you are having a wonderful Easter Sunday. Hopefully, I'll have more to post this week.... If I can get caught up on work. :) Thanks for stopping by. If you want to play along with a fun sketch challenge, and have a chance to win a free stamp set of your choice from Our Craft Lounge, come and visit us at The Lounge. Hope you'll come and stamp with us!
