Owl Together Now

Morning everyone! Another busy day today so I'm making it short again. :)

Isn't this owl cute? His eyes were the perfect size for some googlie eyes too.

I did all the coloring with my Copic Markers. I added some Burgundy Shimmmerz to the balloons, then covered them with Crystal Effects. They really stand out, but also shine under the glaze. The blue sky I did with the chisel end of my BG10 Copic.

It's all layered with the Label One Nesties. For the slight green layer, I ran the same size Label One Nestie as the main image in Old Olive, then cut it in half with my scissors, then added each piece so that some of it slightly showed or shadowed the main image. Another reason I love that Zip Dry Glue... it gives you time to wiggle. :)

Supplies:

Stamps: Owl Together Now (Stampin'Up!)
Paper: Bali Breeze Designer Paper, Old Olive, Neenah White, Rose Red.
Ink: Ranger Distress Soot Black, Copic Markers.
Other: Button Bouquet, Rhinestone Brads, Crafter's Tool Kit, Crystal Effects, Circle Punch, Label One Nesties, Shimmerz, Sakura Glitter Pen, Google Eyes, Poly Twill Ribbon, Scor-pal.

Have a great Saturday! Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine Kit the Kat

Good Morning Stampers! Whatcha doing today? I'm wrapping up and hopefully sending out the rest of the cards I made for Cards 4 Kids. How much fun was that? Man, I appreciate everyone who pitched in and helped out this wonderful cause. I'm looking forward to the next one! I *heard* Pat made her goal and will have plenty of Valentine cards to share with the kids. Yeah for us!!

This is another little sneak peek of a new set being released soon called Kit the Kat. She is SO much fun. I also used our two Valentine sets, So In Love and True Love. Kit the Kat is covered in Pink Sparkly Fluff and decked out with sparkle from the new Blingz by Shimmerz. Of course it wouldn't be complete without Sakura Glaze pens.

We just can't seem to shake this cold at my house. Averie is home again today feeling icky. I am still coughing and just worn out. I guess I should have got my flu shot (as my parents so kindly remind me).

Hope you are all staying healthy and avoiding this bug! Thanks for stopping by!

Echos of Kindness

Hello friends! Another quick post today. I feel half human again... thank goodness! Today Averie is home, but everyone else is still at school! Tomorrow there is an service day, so it will be a good mid week break for the kids. Sheldon can use the day to try and catch up on all the homework for the week he missed.

This card uses a new Hostess Set from the new Stampin' Up! catalog. I borrowed some images from my friend Gail. LOVE that sentiment.

The background is Neenah white, ran through the Cuttlebug, then spayed with the same colored Copic markers. I love my little air compressor... and it's been so neglected lately. I then went back and added a little more red with the actual marker (RV29).

The ribbon is from Stampin' Up! too, but I don't think it's still available. It was from the Jersey Ribbon Originals. I also used my new Nesties and Kaiser Pearls. I added just a touch of bling to the main image by adding some Pixie Dust Blingz.

Supplies:

Stamps: Echos of Kindness (Stampin'Up!)
Paper: Neenah White, Riding Hood Red, Basic Black.
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copic Markers.
Other: Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder, Kaiser Pearls, Crafter's Tool Kit, Air Compressor, Slot Punch, Ribbon (Stampin'Up!), Pixie Dust Blingz, Nesties, Scor-pal.

Hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Pat The BAD Dog

Hey Stampers! Just a quickie today. I'm recovering from the flu.... yah, it got me good. I'm hoping today will be fever free. Wow, what a doosie. The kids are all back in school today, so now it's time for Mom to catch up. If only my body will cooperate.

This is one of our new sets called Pat the BAD Dog. Yes... he's one of my favorites. *wink* This one is kinda plain on the front, but the inside makes up for it.

I did add some of the new Pixie Dust Blingz to the Tulips and some Brown Fluff to his spots. I think it makes up for the plainness. It makes you want to touch it for sure. :)

I have a hard time making cards un-girly. This one is off to my Father-in-law who celebrated his birthday yesterday. I think he will enjoy it.

Supplies:

Stamps: Pat the BAD Dog.
Paper: Neenah White, Just Dreamy2 My Mind's Eye.
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copic Markers.
Other: Pixie Dust Blingz, Quickie Glue Pen, Brown Fluff, Nesties, Cuttlebug, Jody's Foam Dots, Rick Rac, Scor-pal.

I totally CASE'd the idea of the bite out of the side with my Marvy Scallop Punch from my friend Kisa. She helped me out by making some samples with the new sets for CHA and I LOVED the way she did the sentiment. She's a bomb. :)

All the laundry is calling, but the recliner is also calling my name. Maybe I'll re-start the dryer, THEN hit the recliner for a little power nap. Darn bugs!

Hope you all had a great weekend! And thanks for stopping by!

Bee My Valentine

I love making Valentine cards... have I told you that? Yesterday, I found THE best excuse to stamp Valentine cards to my hearts content AND feel great about it! You want to help? Even if you send just one, you will bring a huge smile to a child.

Barbara's Blog

They all have great blog candy too! :)

Tomorrow I'm going to work on some more boyish cards, but today, these cute bees were calling to me! I stamped these images while my Aunt was down visiting from her Buzzin' By set. Then, my friend Gail let me stamp off and punch out hearts from her Love You Much Bundle from Stampin'Up! So, these little bees are all dressed up in their Valentine duds and they are decorating their hive for Valentine's day! The sentiment is from the set called So In Love by Our Craft Lounge. I just added another e. :) Of course this has shine and shazam galore! I added glaze everywhere with my red Sakura Glaze Pen. The wings and the hive have Pink Poinsetta Blinz on it. I even added some sparkle to those punched out hearts with my atyou Spica pens. Gotta have some glitter with Valentines.

Supplies:

Stamps: So In Love (Our Craft Lounge), Love You Much Valentine Bundle, Buzzin' By (Stampin'Up!)
Paper: Bazzill Pink and Black (for the little heart), Real Red, Basic Black (Stampin'Up!), Neenah White.
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copic Bright and Pastel Marker Sets.
Other: Jody's Foam Dots, Nesties, Cuttlebug, atyou Spica Pens, Shimmerz Blingz, Sakura Glaze Pens, Real Red Brads, Scor-pal.

Have a great day everyone! Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

Hanna Sneak Peak

I LOVE this new set coming out by Hanna Stamps! It's called Slumber Party... and if you have girls, it's a must! My little Averie had her first sleepover a few weeks ago and boy did she have a blast! I think this will be the perfect thank you note to send. :)

I had a hard time getting the card to stand up for a photo because the front flap is scalloped... sorry about that.

She's got Shimmerz on her headband (I finally used my Royal Purple... it was feeling neglected), and the lovely Pink Poinsettia Pink Blingz on her slippers, the pillow tassels, and the flowers on her shorts. The little pearl in her headband are from Ellen Hutson... love those self-sticking pearls. Now that I think about it, I think I'll add a tiny bit more Shimmerz. Maybe a dab of Angel wings to her teeth. Man, I hate it when I think of things to add AFTER I take the photo.

Here's a little better photo of the shine and shimmer. I paper pieced the pillow, then used a kraft knife to cut around her and slipped it under her.

Supplies:

Stamps: Slumber Party (Hanna Stamps)
Paper: Flowers for You (Stampin'Up!), Tempting Turqoise, Elegant Eggplant, Neenah White.
Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black, Copics Markers BV04, V15, V17, E00, E01, E37, R20, N0.
Other: Ribbon (unknown), Dimensionals, Circle Nesties, Cuttlebug, Shimmerz, Blingz, Scallop Edge Punch, Pearls, Kraft Knife, Scor-pal.

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Garden Preview

Did you check out all the previews yesterday? Fun stuff huh? You know I'm a sucker for flowers, so this set is another favorite. It's called Spring Garden. I dig the sentiments! This set is also Crafty Rubber Cling. I love getting all the benefits of rubber images without the worry of storage. Oh, and speaking of storage, all the sets come on these cool panels. The images are colored on one side and the other side is where the stamps cling! Just peel and stick baby!! Three hole punched and ready to put in a binder. How cool is that? I'm pretty sure a storage system is coming our way soon. Along with other fun surprises!!

Blingz'd Bot

Oh yah baby... nothing like a shimmery Robot... or should I say Blingz'd Robot? Love this set from Lizzie Anne Designs called Gizmos and Gears. The inside says Happy Birthday. It comes with two robots, one solid and one not... so I could not resit paper peicing parts of her.

The metal dot (the big one) came in a package given to me by a dear friend (thanks QC baby... who loves me). They are made by Colorbok. The other metal stickers are from Heidi Grace. The beautiful paper is from Basic Grey... it came all together in a huge package... even had the cool rick rack ! I LOVE it!

Can you see the Blingz? I used the new Wintergreen Blingz over the top of the main body which I had colored first with Copic G02. I added some dots with my Sakura Black Glaze pen and the clear over that for the eyes.

Hey.. do you like my new wintery banner? It was made by my good friend Bethie. She is DA bomb of banner makers. Thanks Bethie! Give her a visit over at Freckled AND Fun to see all her awesome work!

Supplies:

Stamps: Gizmos and Gears (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Paper: Prism, Neenah White, Two Scoops Designer Paper (Basic Grey)
Ink: Ranger Adirondack Pitch Black, Copic G02, C01, Pretty in Pink.
Other: Wintergreen Blingz, Sakura Glaze Pens (black and clear), Heidi Grace Metal Shape Stickers, Metal Dots (Colorblok), Nesties, Cuttlebug, Tag Corner Punch, Heidi Grace Brads, Crafter's Tool Kit, Scor-pal.

Okay, so I have some very exciting news to share with you tomorrow. I'm so excited, I can barely wait!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a super day!!

Merry Muffins

Dang, what is it with me and cupcakes? I know this set is called Merry Muffins, but they can be cupcakes too right? I love this set from eP... well, by Stampendous, but through eP. All the piece are separate so the possibilities for cuteness in unlimited.

Of course, if you add a little Blingz, it makes it all the better. The Pink Poinsettia Blingz is just total pink loveliness. I used the December Sky Blingz on the cute snowman. I also used Royal Red on their scarves and hats. I found those little bling dots on their hats at BiMart... they are made by Fiskers (called Zingz).

I did all the coloring with Copic Markers, and added some clear Sakura Glaze to the straw. The little pink dots around the image are Pastel Raspberry Liquid Pearls.

Here are all the Supplies used:

Stamps: Merry Muffins (Stampendous)
Paper: Real Red, Neenah White, Chocolate Chip, Designer paper by Heidi Grace, Pink Pirouette.
Ink: Ranger Distress Black Soot, Copic Markers, Bashful Blue.
Other: Shimmerz Royal Red, Blingz December Sky and Pink Poinsettia, 1 1/4 inch Circle Punch, Round Marvy Scallop Punch (yellow one), Dimensionals, Nesties, Cuttlebug, Friskers Red Sticker Dots, Button Bouquet, Chocolate Poly Twill Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Sakura Clear Glaze Pen, Pastel Raspberry Liquid Pearls, Paint Brush, Scor-Pal.

Hope to see you tomorrow for Beate's Weekend Sketch! Have a super day!

Peace, Love, & Cupcakes

How cute is that? Peace, Love & Cupcakes.... that just makes me smile. And, makes me want some cupcakes!

This sweet cupcake is from Taylor's set called Season's Sweetings. I totally dig those muffin muffs. These are SO much fun to color!!

The designer paper is from Heidi Grace, the cardstock is from Prism. The white cardstock is Neenah White. I colored with Copic Markers E43,R27, R20, R30, and G21. I used the new Pink Poinsettia Blingz for the earmuffs and added some Wintergreen Blingz to the scarf. I also used Royal Red for the cherry.

I used Circle Nestabilities for the layering and the scallop circle behind the cupcake. I also added a bit of paper piercing at the botton, and added some Riding Hood Red Ribbon.

The sentiment across the bottom is stamped with Real Read Craft Ink.

Man, what a rainy day today on the OR coast. I guess we need it, and I can't complain since it was SO nice during Halloween. I got to spend the day with some of my downline stampin, coloring, and just having a good time. I love my girls... they are THE best. I totally didn't care that it was raining because I was completely content... I could have stayed all day! Thanks Gail for having us over.

So, that's it for me tonight, I'll see you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by!!

Blingz Up The Holidays

Did you head over to Shimmerz to check out the new product? Oh, how I love the new Blingz!! There are five new colors... Pink Poinsettia, Spiced Cider, December Sky, Wintergreen, and Gold Glimmer. You can probably guess which is my favorite (wink).

If you haven't been over to Shimmerz, you are missing out on a ton of really pretty ideas and projects by the design team.

I used Pink Poinsettia Blingz along with the Spiced Cider for the center of the flowers. I let it dry (which doesn't take long), then added some dots in the center with my Sakura Black Glaze Pen. Talk about an easy card. Easy is good during the holidays right?

The photos do not do Blings justice. It's totally beautiful. :)

Supplies:

Stamps: Merry & Bright, Holiday Script (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Paper: Neenah White, Basic black, Basic Grey Two Scoops Collection Pack.
Ink: Adirondack Pitch Black.
Other: Blingz Pink Poinsettia, Spiced Cider, Pink Brads (Heidi Grace), Crafter's Tool Kit, Dimensionals, Wide Oval Punch, Organdy Ribbon, Bronze Cord.

Have a great day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

Beate's Weekend Sketch #64

Happy Halloween! I wish you all a happy and safe evening of fun! I know my kids are SO ready to get out there and Trick or Treat. Can you believe October is over?

I love Fridays.... and I love Beate's Sketches! This one was REALLY fun. I stamped the flowers on whisper white card stock, then loaded up my Copic Airbrush and sprayed R85 all over. I then took the marker out and colored the flowers. Of course I couldn't have plain ole flowers now that I have Shimmerz, so I gave them some Shazam with Bubble Gum Pink... man, I love that stuff. I'd bathe in it and go out for Halloween if I had enough! Can you see me now? All pink and shimmery head to toe? I'd save the new product for my hair. (yah, they are coming out with a new product.... but I can't tell you yet). But you can go over to their blog and get a chance to win some! See the huge fonts in the previous post. LOL. I also added some Crystal Effects to the owl's eyes and a black nose with my Sakura Glaze pen. Stamping is SO much fun... isn't it?

Don't forget to check out what the rest of Beate's team is up to. I can't wait to check it out!
