Can Ya Hear Me Now?

My friend Bev leaves me THE best phone messages. The whole family loves to listen to them... and they are long too.. like we are talking. She makes my days with her messages. Now, If I'd remember to have my cell with me, I'd actually get to talk to her more. It drives my husband crazy... "why do you even have a cell.. you never answer it!". It's usually buried in my purse or in the car... I'm going to be better about that.

So... had to send Bev a card and let her know how much I love her and how much she makes my days. She likes pink almost as much as me, so of course I had to send her a pink phone.

I made the background by sticking all the sentiments to one block and stamping over and over. I also used Crystal Effects on the screen to make it look real. I wish you could see the shimmer. I used my long lost Brilliance Pearl Orchid ink, and the Brilliance Rocket Red Gold, that I got when I was in WI. LOVE those inks... they are so pretty and shimmery. The embossing around the image is done with my Scor-Pal.

Here is the recipe:

Stamps:
Text Messages, (Gina K. Designs)
Paper: Baby Blue Medium (Prism), Whisper White, Basic Black.
Ink: Brilliance, Pearl Orchid, Brilliance, Rocket Red Gold, Copic Marker
Other: Three for You Flower Punch, Dimensionals, Ticket Corner Punch, Crystal Effects, Corner Rounder Punch, Soft Subtle Brad, Black Glaze pen, Blue Gingham Ribbon, Scor-pal.

Okay, so the kitchen is stocked with groceries. I've got swiss steak ready to throw in the crock pot tomorrow. The laundry machine is smokin' I did so many loads. All I need to do is pack my stampin stuff.... oh, and clothes and I'm on my way! And, my husband made some of his famous cookies for my girls. I love him. I'm so excited!! No, I'm beyond excited. I told my Mom today.... it's kinda pathetic. I'm a grown woman and I feel like a five year old being SO excited to spend the weekend coloring with my friends! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'm going to be a COPIC COLORING CERTIFIABLE HAPPY WOMAN!!! Talk to you soon,

Anna-Mae's Valentine

Wow.... I didn't think Gina's daughter could be any MORE talented!! This set was designed by Gina's daugher Alicia K. How cool is that? My kids just LOVE this set.... even my almost 15yr. old son thought it was cool... and he NEVER thinks my stampin stuff is "cool".

The background is really the paper. Gina sent me these sheets that are designer paper all cut and ready for cards! This piece had the frame around it and ready to go. The little heart tattoo on her arm is a little heart bobble sticker along with the ones around the frame and the bigger one at the bottom. I stamped the big heart with Stazon with another stamp from the set.

I had a really hard time getting a good photo of the tin, but it does look cool IRL. The background inside the tin is another one of those cool sheets... I just trimmed it a little and glued it in. I stamped Anne-Mae with White Stazon and colored her in from behind with Sharpie markers. Again, you see those cool bubble like hearts that couldn't be easier to peel and stick on. The tin is also from Gina K. Designs... I love that it has a bigger window on the top. Fun stuff from Gina K. I've had so much fun being a guest designer for her. I think they are announcing the new team of guest designers soon!!

Here is the recipe for the card:

Stamps: anna-mae's valentine
Paper: Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa, Real Red,
Designer Sheets
Ink: Burnt Umber Palette, Stampin Write Markers, Copic eSsentials, Black Stazon.
Other:
Heart Bubbles, Sakura Glitter Pen.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes yesterday!! I had a super day!! Hope the rest of your week is AWESBOMB! :)

Festive Labels Nichole Box

Nichole Heady is just beyond Bombalicious... she is a PAPER GENIUS! Every time I go to her site, my mouth opens and noises come out. My husband says... "what the heck are you looking at?" I say, "nothing honey... just some stampin stuff". He then rolls his eyes. Did you see her tutorial on this cool little box she designed? She was inspired by Mish's (one of my BFF's) Criss Cross Cards. You all KNOW how much I love Mish's Criss Cross Cards! I just love you Nicole Heady!! Thanks so much for sharing your bombalicious thoughts and designs with us!!

Another bomb of a gal is my friend Gina K. I am loving her new Festive Labels stamp set. It's HUGE.... the set that is. And, they all fit Marvy punches! Perfect for any occasion or gift giving.

Yes.... my husband made the cookies and they are TO DIE FOR! Another thing that makes noises come out of my mouth after taking a bite of these raspberry filled cookies. It's just torture at my house when he's baking cookies. I'm trying to be so good through the holidays. So.... the saying punched out with my Word Window punch is perfect... celebrate the moment. Believe me, your tongue is celebrating when it tastes those cookies. I wish I could send ya'll one. You can get Punchy Words for free at Gina K. Designs. Click here for the details.

Special Delivery Gift Can

LOVE the simply scrappin' kits! LOVE!! I got this can at Staples on the clearance rack. It's a bit taller than the Stampendous cans. The top of the can was stamped with the new label set from Gina K. Designs and punched out with the pink round scallop punch from Marvy. Man, I FREAKING love Festive Labels from Gina K.! Genius... that girl is a genius!

When I bought these cans, they had a little metal washer looking type thing hanging from the tag... I couldn't figure it out. Then, when I was taking it off to decorate the can, I realized they are to pry under the lid to pop it off! How cool is that? Of course, there were die cut stickers in the scrappin' kit to cover it and make it cute. Some of the die cut stars from the kit matched the star chipboard I had from Stampin'Up! How easy? I love cute and easy!

Of course, who needs coffee more than new parents? Had to whip up a gift card to hold a Starbucks coffee gift card. You can find the tutorial here for the gift card. I'm still working on matching thank you cards from the kit. I'll share those when I'm done.

So, I survived the MRI.. thanks for all the well wishes. It was really hard to be so still when you are in pain, but I closed my eyes and did not move. I don't think I've stayed in one position that long in forever. I got a break in between the back MRI and the hip MRI. Now, I don't go back until December 3rd... so it's more waiting. I can't tell you how much your comments and emails have meant to me... thank you!

Have a great weekend everyone!! Thanks for stopping by!

Text Messages

Gina K. is on FIRE with her new sets! I'm having SO much fun with all her new images! This set is called Text Messages. It has all kinds of text you can add to the phone. I cut the center out with a craft knife and added a window sheet behind it so that it looks like a real phone screen. I'm loving those flowers too! I adore girlie sets.

I think I need to try and make one for my son, but not girlie... that kids is ALWAYS got his head buried and fingers texting. He teases me all the time because it takes me FOREVER to text him back. Hey, these fingers were made for stampin', not textin' baby. :)

The edge is made with the corner rounder from Stampin'Up! You can see the tutorial here. The card is kept shut with the slit punch. The buttons on the phone are colored in with my Sakura Glaze pen. They are raised up and looked embossed. I love those pens!!

Here is the complete recipe:

Stamps: Text Messages (Gina K. Designs)
Paper: Shimmery White, Purely Pomegranate Textured card stock, Designer Prints, Groovy Guava.
Ink: Palette Noir Black, Purely Pomegranate, Groovy Guava
Other: Window Sheet, Sakura Black Glaze Pen, Slit Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, Pomegranate Stitched Ribbon, Blender Pen, Scor-Pal.

Hope you all had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!!
