Kampfgruppe Falken
Neville Wilson illustrates this episode from the 2nd of December, 1978 issue of Warlord. I like the quiet cynicism and world-weariness of this strip. The characters are just trying to survive as best as they can under very extreme circumstances.

Stalwart
Ian Kennedy. Illustration for a back page feature in the February 8th 1975 issue of Warlord. I've stripped out the colour so you can see his line work a bit better.

Tankbusters
Art by Luis Collado Coch. Warlord, dated January 24th 1976. I don't know what it is about this guy's style, but I could look at it all day. Simple, clear and gritty. Great war art.

The Mareth Line
Art by Jeff Bevan.Warlord dated March 22nd 1980. An interesting mix of wash and line art for this one.
The script is a bit cringe-worthy though: the Maoris speak like cliché red Indians. "Much I can forgive the white man-but not this!"
I know, I know: it's just a comic. Anyway, moving along....

Warlord
Cover art by Mike Dorey. I always felt a bit wary of the title 'Big Willi'. I think the editor's tongue was firmly in cheek with the 'Swing into action with Big Willi' by-line.... All it needs to push the strip completely over the edge is a character named, Fraulein Hooters. Ooo, misses, now then....
Ahem, I don't get out much.
