Insta-Friday {Linking Up}

I'm back and linking up to Insta-Friday over at Life Rearranged. It's basically just my week summed up in Instagram photos from my IPhone.

I didn't link up last week so some of these pictures are a bit older. Here are the girls working on puzzles. They each find a little open spot, dump the bag of puzzle pieces out and have at it! These days there are a lot more legos floating around than puzzle pieces.

We had some friends over for dinner and they brought me yummy wine and pretty flowers.

We meet my mom most Tuesdays for lunch. It's a guarantee she's going to get lots of hugs from Ruby because this girl loves her grandma.

Gracie made a "peanut butter apple". It's an apple with peanut butter all over it. Cute kid.

In honor of the 4th of July I made the girls a special little dinner; Turkey and cheese sandwich, apple slices, and a mini ice cream sundae.

Teeny tiny box from Starbucks, with a very yummy little cake pop inside.

One more 4th of July picture. I took the girls out for bagels while their dad was canoeing. Sweet little red, white, and blue dresses... summery and festive!

While some friends were over for a movie night, we talked Kristin into dying her hair black. She's brave. She also looks good in any hair color so it wasn't very risky!

My week via Instagram. I have Instagram on my Iphone but you could use any ol' cell phone pictures. Let me know if you do this or something similar, I'd love to take a look!

Insta-Friday {Linking Up}... A Bit Overdue

Last week was quite full and busy for us, which is seen in my lack of blogging, and this minuscule Insta-Friday post. Most of my time was filled with watching my girls while also preparing for a birthday party I was hired to do.

Here are the few pictures I did snap over the week. I needed to buy about 15 yards of fabric for the party decorations which meant a trip to M&L Fabrics was a must! I love this store, it's in my top 5 favorites for sure.

Check out the inside. This picture doesn't begin to show the massive amounts of fabric that are crammed in here. Plus, the back of the store has (what seems like) thousands of fabrics stacked all for $2.50 a yard. This would make some people (Kristin) break into a sweat, but it's pure delight to me!

Here are the cupcake toppers I made. The party was for a little girl who was turning seven, hence the giant seven on the toppers.

And... A glimpse at the actually party. I'll do a full post on this when I get the pictures from the party.

And that about sums up my week of Instagram. I've got a lot a fun stuff I'm getting ready to blog about so please come back!!

Insta-Friday {Linking Up}

I'm recovering today from a very long photo shoot yesterday. I'm really excited to show you all the projects I did for the shoot (along with some tutorials), but I can't share them till they're published... more on that later. Needless to say, I'm beat today! I'll be spending the day relaxing with my girls and working on planning something special for Father's Day.

It's time again for Insta-Friday! I'm linking up with Jeannett over at Life Rearranged.

First up, chicken pot pie. Not any chicken pot pie, but chicken pot pie made with a roasted chicken and Boursin garlic herb filling. It was kinda amazing!

I spent the day with this cute little thing. Her momma was ready to brush out her braids and I asked if I could do it. I did pretty good considering she still had a smile on her face when I was done!

Pretty white and pink daisy from Trader Joes.

I am seriously baffled to think that Gracie could cut her whole toe nail right in half and have no idea how it happened... Craziness! It was bloody and so painful looking, owie!

Woodland cookie cutters from Ikea... this has birthday party idea written all over them.

This girl of mine is scrumptious. She's cuddly, love-y, sweet as pie, and has the most gnarly hair to brush out.

I used dozens of yards of fabric over the last week preparing for our WHITE Wedding Magazine shoot. I won't be sewing for a little while, I need to recover.

This was what I looked at for the last 4 days...

I find it more than a little cute that Gracie plans out parties, then draws pictures of what she would like them to look like. This one was particularly special cause she was planning ideas for my birthday... it's in September, she's an early planner! She drew a quick picture to help her remember her ideas. My favorite things are the hanging lanterns, chandelier in the upper left, and the cake stand.

A quick little glance at a few things that were going on this week! Thanks for stopping by.

Insta-Friday {Linking Up}

I'm linking up to Insta-Fridays over at Life Rearranged. Insta-Friday is basically just a way to share a few of your Instagram pictures from the week. For those of you who don't use Instagram or Facebook then these will be new to you... for the rest of you, this is a recap!

I love this little idea Gracie had. These are hand-me-down cigar boxes now being used as toy boxes for the girls tiniest toys.

Doing a little blogging during nap time. That's my bathroom in those tiny pictures, you'll see that very soon here.

Kristin and I on our way home from a meeting in L.A. for an upcoming independent film (LHLL).

This is what my backyard dining table would look like if I lived in an Anthropologie catalog. I love the rustic table, red chair, and yellow table linens.

Ooooooo, I just love this new-to-me old dresser. I picked it up at my Grammy's neighborhood yard sale for $20! It's yellow and white and all chip-y!

The last two pictures are of my little girls. This is Ruby, all fresh and sunny first thing in the morning. She came in carrying a flash light (that's why the picture has that extra cool glow at the bottom) and yes, she is naked.

And my Gracie. I <3 her.

There you have it! My first Insta-Friday... but not my first cell phone picture only post. Find me on Instagram, I'm @brebuskey!

New camera comes tomorrow, now all I need to do is learn how to use it.
