A few of you commented on the name I chose for my blog. A few years ago, a neighbor asked me to design and stitch some things for her to give as gifts. I wanted to have a name to place on the back of the pieces. My mom suggested using Bramblewood and I loved it! I was raised in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania and back in the day, the house I grew up in was known as Bramblewood. Now you know the story behind Bramblewood Stitches!
My goal for this past weekend was to finish Tombstone Spots by the Primitive Needle. I started this last fall, put it away to stitch Christmas gifts, picked it back up a couple of weeks ago and finally finished it this past weekend. The only changes I made were to squeeze in my initials and the year 2010.
Thank you again for being so welcoming!

Love the story behind the name. The stitching looks wonderful!
Your Primitive Needle piece is beautiful! I love the meaning behind your blog name, too. :)
Love your PN piece! I can tell I am going to looove your stitching, and your blog. Glad you joined us!
Fun to hear how the name of your blog came to be, and a little about your family. I've been married 16 years, so I'm guessing we are close in age.
Welcome to blog land! A fabulous place to meet friends.
Congrats on the PN finish! I enjoyed the story behind your blog name too :)

Your PN piece is beautiful! Glad to see you finally stared a blog too.
Your blog reads like an "old" pro has written it, so don't be nervous any more! You're actually encouraging this non-blogging blog reader, so just maybe one of these days you'll be reading what I find to say, as well!
I loved hearing the story of how Bramblewood Stitches was "born!" It really is a wonderful name--especially now that we know the history of it... You're doing better than me at blogging, Catherine--I've never posted twice in one week before :)
Love your Tombstone Spots, what a great finish! What a nice meaning behind your blog name.
