Mid-Week Inspiration: Bike Rides and Picnics

The dog days of Summer are here! What is still left on your Summer list of things to do?

Mid-Week Inspiration Bike Rides and Picnics via Bobbins and Bombshells

I still haven't gone out on bike rides or had the picnics that I originally wanted to do this Summer! Now it's really hot and I can't seem to be bothered.  Maybe if I had an amazing Claire McCardell play suit like this to keep cool in. Not to mention look stylish in!

So please, let me know, what do you still want to do this Summer before we slide into August?

Mid-Week Inspiration: Crochet Bike!

I need to look at sunny and fun images! I was so excited when I found this on Pinterest. I think I might seriously add some crochet roses and flags to my bike basket for the Spring. Think ahead!

Mid-Week Inspiration: Chic 1940's Ladies On Their Bikes

I love these ladies! Great outfits, great shoes, and great hair while riding their bikes!
I often wear heels and dresses when riding my bike around Brooklyn, but I could never have hair like that and wear a helmet! Do you wear heels like these when riding your bike?

My Vintage Vanity: 1960's Raleigh

*A Peek Into My Vintage Collection*
Here I am with my vintage 1960's Raleigh! These photos were taken on recent bike trip to Governor's Island here in NYC with glorious views of New York Harbor. The bike basket is new and was a gift from my boyfriend. Perfect for our pic-nic!

I am wearing a white tank from Old Navy and a vintage 70's red and white polka dot square dance skirt. Sunglasses, Miu Miu.

Mid-Week Inspiration: Riding in the Rain

Silly me, I did not jot down wear I found this photo. All I know is that I love it! It has inspired me to ride my bike and look fabulous dispite the lousy weather we've been having. Earlier this month I got my vintage Raleigh tuned up with a new basket to hold my purse. But due to the constant rain, I've only got on it twice! I will just have to learn how to ride while holding an umbrella.
