Blessings as in Awards!

Gosh, sometimes I procrastinate too long!
Earlier this week, I received this delightful Thanks Giving award from the Rocky Creek Scotties...Thanks pups!
But, today I recieved it again, from dear Maggie & Mitch, who I planned to send it to!

I am very touched to have been awarded ie 'blessed' twice within my small blogland group of friends!
So, now who to pass it on to???
The idea is to send to who 'Bless' your blog day
Rocky Creek Scotties said ten recipients, Maggie & Mitch just five???
Okay, to start with it goes straight back to both of them both, without question!
And next, the awards originaters WFT's Jake and Fergi.
The rest is harder as I have many blog friends I consider a 'Blessing'.
BJ, & Ginger Jasper for two for sure.
Cousin Misses Peach as she is 'dear family';
Sally, Paddy & their Diana;
Agatha & Archie & their PL2 [LOL - another Diana!]
Okay, just two left...
Angie, a lady in Australia, who shares my love of Brighton!
And, Wilma, whose out look on life never ceases to amuse/inspire me!

Roses of Friendship!

My Easter Sunday Lunch went well @ friend & neighbours Pussycat Pauls.
Am feeling exceedingly full & MELLOW from wine!
So bare with me!

Last week, I've received two very special Awards - apologies to the kind awarders, for being late acknowleding here!
New but neat friends, the Rocky Creek Scotties, thoughtfuly, passed on this sweet accolade to me...They made me blush by writing "Blue doesn't have a dog but she is out & about and going to the most amazing places - the pictures she posts on her blog are phenomenal".
Thank-you for the award & the sooo kind words!

Then, busy Checkers emailed me again, with this bouquet...Saying "We would like to offer these pink roses to you. They are given to friends to bring them a sweet & fruitful day, and say you are never forgotten. We hope you will pass them on as a gift to ten friends to show them you care".
How lovely is that?

Now, passing on Awards is always fraught.
It means favouritism - big time.
But, I hold my hands up high & say, it's part of my persona to have favourites.
All my blog contacts/friends, enlighten/enliven my days big time & I value you dearly.
However, some I do feel a very special deep felt affection for, so I'm sending with love both Roses to the following, in no particular order...
1. BJ, who I share a close bond with - one day hopefully, we will not just talk on the phone when I'm in the States but meet in person.
2. Maggie & Mitch and Sue - without hearing from them, my day is a dark one indeed.
3. Miss Peach >(^;^)< & her Karla - a sweet vintage puss, who is to have surgery very soon & I wish her well & worry for her.
4. Wilma - she rarely acknowledges awards; but I will insist on embarrassing her, because as I frequently say, without her I would never have blogged & I value her real life friendship.
5. Jackson, another one who doesn't do awards; but hey, he's my very fav. WFT.
6. My 'niece & nephew' Molly & Taffy and their humans, as they give me valued one to one friendship & support.
7. Marvin's Jeannie - we call each other, and I hope to meet them both, this year.
8. Snowball, my B'day twinny & her jie-jie, who I frequently sound off to via Yahoo messenger!
9. A combined one, as Mother & Daughter - Dina, and Samantha, of Holly & Zack fame - are valued AOL buddies.
10. And, I'm passing the roses back to Checkers, who with his Mom Katie, obviously has a generous heart.

Stopping @ 10 is hard, I could easily go to 20, even 30!
Sentimental it may be, but, I've been blessed with wonderful caring blog contacts, who send me Postcards, leave me Comments regularly, even though I fail to reciprocate on all, all too frequently.

Blog Friendship cum Musings!

Hands held up high!
I freely admit, I am a notoriously BAD Blogger when it comes to Commenting/Visiting.
I offend seriously, always have.
Old close friends, know I love them dearly & hopefully accept this habitual failing.
My lack of Commenting, doesn't mean I don't care!
But, fresh contacts are less aware & may take offence!!!
A new, delightful doggy friend, Checkers has made this for me...
It's lovely, I only hope, I don't disappoint him!

Blogging is about FUN & personal expression, so I try to stay focused and not let my guilt wear me down as it has in the past, especially as, my weekly meme 'True Colours Thursday', has also brought me a whole host of fresh followers & potenial friends.
All are fascinating in their own way & very 'Welcome'.
I just want to apologise here, for failure to contact 'one to one' with everyone of them on a regular basis!
It is not personal, just me, the blog commenting PROCRASTINATOR of all times!

An Award Coming Full Circle!

Earlier this week, the genteel, The Duchess, who writes an amazingly, delightful, inspirational & reminiscent of lost times blog, passed on a very special accolade to Sir Woodstock!
The Shoe Award, is not any old boot/shoe/trainer affair...It's, a special magical 'fairy tale' slipper, bestowed on those, who bring a little 'magic' into our lives via their blogs creativity!
Woodstock, both astounded & delighted with this unexpected acknowledgement, duly passed it on to WFT Asta, Dragon Dilly & his Authoress Aunt BJ!
Today, I find that the latter, has returned it to Poopsie's True Colours!
First to Wheelie Bailey, then Miss WFT Judy & lastly to me - LOL!
No Oscar speech or tears from me, but I am deeply touched.
But, then most of you will have realised I am extremely touched!!!
Who else, being a fully grown lady, without a pup, would each week write, a Wheelie Wednesday post about toy dogs???
And, if that wasn't enough madness, start her own Teddy Bear Blog, the said Sir Woodstock???
Anyway, all does give me fun, brighten my days & find me new friends.

Now, who do I pass the Shoe on too???
Firstly, it has to go to Maggie & Mitch, who make me smile endlessly.
Secondly, Dewdana [& Moose] - new friends but their 'marine' photographic contribution to 'True Colours Thursday' is a source of delight & fascination each week to me.
Lastly, a difficult one - Nonizamboni, my fellow blue lover, who has a wonderful way with images & words.

Awards & Awards with a tag!

In Blogland, unlike the film industry, the Award Season never ends.
I have been much honoured recently.
Firstly, by fairly new friends the Dughallmor Beagles who gave me this friendship award...
Secondly, by my favourite Green Dragon, Dilly who passed on this...The award states:
"This blog invests and believes in PROXIMITY -- nearness in space, time & relationships!
In other words, blogs that receive this award are exceedingly charming, as these kind bloggers aim to find & be friends.
They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement.
Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated.
Please, give more attention to these writers"
Err, not sure I really qualify, being the reknowned lousy commentor that I am!
But, never the less, I accept graciously!

Then, from my good friend BJ, I've also recieved further recognition...This *** Award is apparentlely bestowed upon a fellow blogger whose blog's content is, in the giver's opinion Brilliant.
Wow!
Thank-you BJ!
The rules:
"When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul wh o thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows he or she is real.
Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design.
Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends.
Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog.”
Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon.
List at least ten honest things about yourself.
Then, pass it on! "

Okay, now, let me do the business - here are ten [honest] random things about me:
1. The Salt is winning the battle against the Pepper in my hair!
2. Despite blogging continuously, I can NOT type!
3. I prefer sleeping in a looong Nightdress to PJ's.
4. My middle name is the same as a Bronte heroine.
5. Surprise, surprise, I'm addicted to blogging!
6. My favourite American TV show is 'House' starring Hugh Laurie
7. The only dog that really scares me is a Boxer; having been pinned to the wall by one, aged maybe 4!
8. I HATE Peanut Butter! Sorry, pups!
9. I LOVE pasta! Spag. Bol. especially!
10. My last wish is to die by the sea be 'ash' scattered there.

Choosing who to pass Awards onto is impossible.
If you have a place in my Blog Roll, consider your self Awarded & Tagged

A Trio of Awards!

Yesterday Dina made my day with these...

They are all lovely - Thank-you!
But, the Share the Love one is particularly noteworthy.
It was created by Crystal of Memoirs of a Mommy, to honor the heart transplant donor that saved the life of her young son Noah.
The rules of this award are very specific.
Link back to Memoirs of a Mommy to learn to learn more of this touching story & ask your recipients to do likewise.
Then, share this award with all those blogs out there that you love.
All the people who make you smile.
All those that make you laugh.
All those that make your day.
All those that leave uplifting comments on your blog.

Now, I know many, many of my closest blog friends are all ready proudly displaying this award & the other two, but no matter, if your name appears in my blog roll - please accept them all over again from me; especially BJ, Maggie & Mitch, Molly & Taffy, Wilma & Jackson.
I will just make one further special mention, that of the only & only Marvin and his Jeannie
to celebrate the return of the much missed Hollowhound!

Do read this:-
How to Get a Dog in a Restaurant!
There were two buddies, one with a Doberman Pinscher & the other with a Chihuahua.
The guy with the Doberman says to his friend, "Let’s go over to that restaurant & get something to eat."
The guy with the Chihuahua replies, "We can’t go in there. We've got our dogs with us."
The buddy with the Doberman responds, "Just follow my lead."
They walk over to the restaurant, the guy with the Doberman puts on a pair of dark glasses, and he starts to walk in.
The bouncer at the door says, "Sorry, Mac, no pets allowed."
The man with the Doberman replies, "You don’t understand. This is my seeing-eye dog."
The bouncer says, "A Doberman?"
He reacts, "Yes, they’re using them now, they're very good."
The man at the door says, "OK! Come on in."
The buddy with the Chihuahua figures, "What the heck," so he puts on a pair of dark glasses and starts to walk in.
Once again the bouncer says, "Sorry, pal, no pets allowed."
The guy with the Chihuahua replies, "You don’t understand. This is my seeing-eye dog."
The bouncer at the door says, "A Chihuahua?"
The man with the Chihuahua responds, "A Chihuahua??? What??? They gave me a Chihuahua?!"

Back to the Award; deciding who to pass it onto is nigh on impossible; as I've only collected my favourite friends around me.
So, I LOVE ALL YOUR BLOGS!
Please, therefore accept this award from me, even if you've already been so blessed.
And, do the tag @ your leisure.

Also, Eduardo, the Snuggle Puggle, who sweetly visits me daily, made an award for his friends who include me...TY to you too!
