Wishlist

MAC Cosmetics' new collection is mindblowing. I happened to walk by them today and couldn't help but take a closer look. The more time I spent looking at this eyeshadow kit, the more in love I fell. Yet I still managed to pry myself loose, because I need to watch my spending with the big move coming up.
The neutral eye kit you see above is definitely my favorite, but seeing the collection as whole is well worth a visit to the MAC store. Even if you can't/won't buy anything either.

Even the displays are fantastic! And the colors they chose, both of the exteriors and the actual make-up, are beautiful.

I apologise if you can't afford it either this time of year and is making you very greedy too! If it is, at least you now have something to put on your Christmas wishlist, right?

Owl Things Considered

M&S released a wonderful limited edition palette with owl shaped eye shadows! And to make it even cooler, the colors look pretty great as well. It has one bright blue, but mostly consists of natural shades.

And to top things off, they even put owl print on the lid! Cute, isn't it?

If you want to get your hands on one you should probably do it fast, because it's part of this year's Autumn collection.

You'll also find a face palette and some nail polish at M&S, but those only have owls on the packaging instead and no owl shaped make-up inside. But to make up for that they do come at Buy 1, Get 1 1/2 off.

Owl Things Considered

I'm sure you've seen those amazing cat shaped lipsticks by Paul & Joe. Well, the lovely people at Paperchase they always have the best owl stuff! have made owl shaped lipbalms! Isn't that just perfect?
I'm sure the quality won't be the same, but hey, they're owls! And though I still think they're a bit pricey, they are definitely more afforable than the original cats.
I couldn't resist stopping by Paperchase today to get one. And I can inform you that they look even cuter in real life!

LUSH Make-Up Release!

It is finally happening! LUSH is releasing their make-up line. This is something many people have been waiting for, I know I have.

As of the 21st you'll be able to take your pick from lots of shades of eyeliner, eyeshadow and lip balms.

There will also be skin tints, powders and even mascara. I'm very glad to see some natural make-up for a change and I can't wait to see them in, or in this case on, the flesh.

I'll be sure to do an update if I end up getting any of these. Do you have anything on your wishlist already?

LUSHified: Ultra Bland

Ultra Bland is probably the most multifunctional LUSH product out there. It's a face cleanser, make-up remover and you can even use it as a cream sometimes. The girl at the store told me it's very soothing when your nose is all sore from a cold, I tried it and it really is!

The reason I bought it is mostly the make-up removal option. I find that if you want a make-up remover that works it's usually really harsh and leaves my skin feeling dry and irritated. This stuff is moisturising, mild, yet even manages to take off waterproof make-up without a fuss.

I still had some make-up remover in stock, but don't even feel like using it anymore. I love this stuff!

Extra tip: If you try a lip tint tester in store and can't get the color of your fingers, just dip it in some Ultra Balm and it comes right off;)

GlossyBox: February

First there was the very first GlossyBox, then one for Christmas, then Valentine's Day, but this is the first time there is no special occasion whatsoever. It was still pretty good though.

I got six items, and though all where tiny there was one thing that made up for that...

The Eos lip balm! I've been wanting one for ages, but couldn't find them anywhere. I'm so glad I finally get to cross it off my wishlist. It's 100% natural and 95% organic and I got one in delicous "Summer Fruit".

Another thing I really liked was the Thierry Mugler Womanity sample. It's teeny tiny, but very cool because of the way it works and the little face in the packaging! It smells great too.

Then there's a little Shiseido cream. The jar looked tiny enough as is, but when you flip it you see you really only get about 25% of the expected volume.

Thankfully there's still a L'oreal primer, that is small, but actually full sized. There's also a Doctor Babor anti-aging cream, which I don't need yet, but might be able to make my mom happy with (despite it being tiny as well).

And lastly there's a Koh hand bath fizzie. I've never tried anything like it and am quite curious about it.

And that's it for this month!

I wasn't super excited about the majority, but I'm glad a few things really stood out. And I haven't tried anything yet... so I might still be blown away.

What did you think?

All-Natural: Burt's Bees

Burt's Bees has only just gotten popular where I live. I remember I only used to spot it when I went to the US, and oddly enough always in bookstores.
Though it popped up here a while back, I hadn't tried any products until recently. But a friend of mine gave me a bottle of Milk & Honey bodylotion a little while ago. I really love it, though it smells more like coconut than anything else.

It seems the brand is mostly known for their lip balms, so it made sense to try one of those first. I actually have a lip tint, in the color Caramel. It feels very tingly, but I'm slowly getting used to it. And the shade is very nice and natural.

Also, you might recall my raving review of the Lush Smitten hand cream. Well... I got a chance to smell Burt's Bees' Almond Milk hand cream today and I'm pretty sure that will be my replacement some day! I'm also very curious about the Banana hand cream.

Have you tried anything by Burt's Bees? Anything you highly recommend? Or perhaps even advise against?

GlossyBox: January

Since my trip I've felt the need to change a lot of things up, hence the new layout. I've been wanting to do something with a white background and bigger pictures for ages and this is what came out of my experiment today. Hope you like it too!

Also, my new GlossyBox arrived and it had a really cute Valentine's Day theme.

Due to the holiday it also came with a little extra gift, a pocket mirror. And I really liked this month's items too.

This is an eyeshadow pencil by Golden Rose, I already tried it and really like it.

Carrot face cream! I've heard good things about the brand, so I look forward to trying it.

A face mask with kaolin, which is always very soothing for irritated skin.

A fast drying hairspray.

And, and this is probably my favorite, a Cherry Blossom shower gel by l'Occitane. I have never tried any of there stuff, but am so excited to finally do so. I sniffed it already and it smells divine!

Also, I hear there are 3 more of these box-subscriptions in the making. I think I'll stay true to GlossyBox for a while longer, but there's one that I do really want to try as well. I'll keep you posted!

GlossyBox: December

The second GlossyBox was yet another special one because it had a Christmas theme, as you can clearly see.

It came with 6 items, instead of 5, and a cute candy cane.

There was a full sized volumizing mouse, a miniature Dermalogica cleaner and a miniature Koh handcream.

In the make-up department: a nice black kohl(+coupon for a discount), a sample of Scaredy Cat eyeshadow and some Cowshed lip balm.

I haven't had the chance to try everything yet, but so far the eye shadow is my favorite. It's super cute and the perfect color for little highlights.

Well that's it for the Christmas box. I am very happy with it and am definitely sticking around for next month.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?

GlossyBox: November

For months and months I've been hoping we'd get a cosmetics-box subscription in this country. This month, my wish has been granted when GlossyBox got released. I immediately subscribed, and a little while back the first issue arrived!

To celebrate the first issue they made sure to be a little more generous than usual. The (gorgeous looking) box looked quite full!

I received a Herome WIC nail polish(which is one of my favorite brands) in the color "New York". It's a classic red, and oddly enough I didn't have that one in my huge collection yet. It came with a glass nail file that also had a travel case.

There was also a pair of expensive tweezers and eyebrow gel(I love eyebrow gel!) and a very nice lip gloss.

That's it for the make-up.

But the box also included some "miracle" night cream, a jar of hair mask and a tiny bit of hair oil.

I was very pleased with this box. Not bad at all for €12,50( including shipping), right?
As next month is Christmas time I think they might do something special again. Can't wait!

Do you have any subscriptions like this?

Current Nails

Hope it's clear on the picture, but I'm really loving the overlapping, almost chevron like, look.

Mocha Rose

A while back I spotted these cute lip balms by Rosebud. The Mocha Rose looks lovely and smells even better. I thought it was quite expensive for a lipbalm and I left the shop, only to buy one a few weeks later. And I'm so glad I did, I love this stuff!

Any new discoveries you've made and already can't live without?
