Sanrio Strawberry Chocolate

Quite a while ago I placed a fun order at Blippo. I originally came for something else, but -having really enjoyed Japanese strawberry chocolate before- I also ended up adding two little boxes of Sanrio chocolates to my cart.

The packaging was already adorable, but the real magic happened inside… All the chocolates were shaped like Sanrio characters (even my favorite: Pom Pom Purin!) or the Milky girl! And luckily they hadn't melted on the way over here.

From what I recall from eating Meiji's famous strawberry chocolates a few years prior, I think they compare pretty well. A tiny bit less tasty maybe. Or maybe it was just bittersweet munching on those adorable little faces, haha!

Owl Things Considered

Today I'd like to show you something that combines three of my favorite things! Owls, stationery and pretty tins…

I just adore these little sets of memos. Of course, the owl is one of my favorites, but I also love that adorable hedgehog. And I really like how these little notes fold over to create a tiny moving animal. So simple, yet so very clever.

Anyway, there are also tons of birds available, as well as a panda, and -to complete my top 3- this adorable bunny.

You can find the whole collection here on eBay, but there are also a few designs available at this Etsy Shop.

Review: Blippo

The Kawaii Box is a lovely subscription service I got to review at the end of last year. Their makers also run an online shop called Blippo. It is full of cute things, four of which I got sent to review for your you today. Let's get started!

Blippo carries a lot of different squishy charms. When I got my Kawaii Box I got a cute Rilakkuma, and this time around they sent me this adorable panda. It reminds me a lot of a mochi, because of the shape.

More pandas! Because I also received these chocolate cookie balls. They have a soft almond filling on the inside and a cute panda design on the outside. They were tasty too! Needless to say, I ate them and they're all gone now...

Apart from pandas you will also find a lot of nail art supplies on Blippo. Fake nails, nail polish, rhinestones, stickers… you name it. I received some little heart sequins. They can be put on wet nails polish and under a clear top coat, after the base layer has dried. The packaging shows that you can also use it for crafts or other decoration.

And finally, something very cool…! We all know the iconic Hello Kitty ears and bow. They've been used in all sorts of designs, but they work exceptionally well in these "beauty scissors". I've always known them as nail scissors, but perhaps they turn out to be a lot more versatile than I've given them credit for in the past. Time will tell.

Lastly, they also tucked a complimentary key chain into my review package, which was a very sweet touch.

Final Verdict

As you can see everything was really cute! And overall my two experiences with Blippo (and Kawaii Box too) have been absolutely wonderful! The shipping is not only free worldwide, but it's also always a lot faster than I expect, everything is packaged securely, and there is just something so friendly about the company in general.

So if you love kawaii items, Blippo is an excellent service to use. Especially if you otherwise have a hard time getting your hands on cute things from Japan. I've found them to be affordable, reliable and just plain cute!

P.S. I've been given these items for review, but haven't received any money or other incentive to write any opinions other than how I really feel about the products.

Review: Kawaii Box

I love happy mail! So subscription boxes always got me excited, but few actually made it to my part of the world. Until Kawaii Box showed up! They are definitely the cutest subscription service and they kindly sent me a box to review.

My expectations were pretty high, but I was still blown away when my very own Kawaii Box actually showed up! I can honestly say that there wasn't a single thing in there that isn't adorable. So lets have a closer look, shall we?

When I opened the box I saw exactly what you see in the picture above and I instantly knew it would all be great! The thank you-card was very sweet with its handwritten note, and the bunny post card was the first actual product I saw.

After that it was a huge splash of color -mostly pink, of course- that contained one cute thing after the other! This make-up bag/coin purse for instance. I love the design and the fact that it has two zippers. So cute, yet so practical as well!

I also got some candy-shaped hair ties and a sheet of pink pearl stickers that might actually make it onto my phone.

An adorable Rilakkuma raspberry macaroon squishy. It looks quite edible actually, made my mouth water a little…

So it's a good thing they sent some actual candy along too. Here is some grapefruit flavored Puccho!

This towel made me super excited! I love those little Japanese towels, but they are hard to find outside of Asia. This one is actually quite big too. And it even has a little name tag in the upper corner. A very clever touch, I think!

This cute cat below is a pencil sharpener. It actually has holes for both regular shaped pencils, and for bigger ones.

I find these lovely bunny stickers quite hilarious. Some of their positions and facial expressions are so funny!

The Hello Kitty pen is one of my favorite items in the whole box! The fineliner pen itself is really cute and writes wonderfully, but the main feature, of course, are the charms on the top. One Hello Kitty and one chocolate bar!

And last, but definitely not least (in fact, another one of my absolute favorites from this box!), is this amazing cat plushy. It's so soft and so cute, I just adore it! It also reminds me of my actual cat. I'll need to find a good place to hang this one!

That's it for products, however, there was also a coupon for 10% off at Blippo so I can get even more Kawaii stuff!

Final Verdict:
I'm a fan! It's a very affordable way of surprising yourself with a whole bunch of kawaii items, in fact, thanks to the low price I didn't even have to worry about paying any extra custom fees.
Anyway, the anticipation of receiving this made me excited already, and the actual box made my day! I really enjoyed the things they picked and would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes adorable Japanese stuff!

In case you're interested in subscribing…
Kawaii Box is only $18,90 a month and worldwide shipping is included. You can subscribe or unsubscribe at any time. So even if you're looking for something to just brighten your dark cold winter months, this is perfect!
Please note that the boxes go out at the beginning of each month. So if you subscribe now you'll get another box of 10-12 original/licensed Japanese and Korean kawaii items in the mail in November. It's still a surprise what's in there!

P.S. Alhough I did receive a one-month subscription for free, all opinions are honestly mine. It genuinely made me super excited!

Owl Things Considered

I just came across these owl watches from NaniWatch on Etsy. Sure there are loads of owl watches out there, but these have a really unique style. I love how the clock doesn't take up the entire watch. It looks wonderful!

Anyway, there are currently 4 owl watches in the shop. One with mustaches and glasses and another cute owl design that is available in 3 colors. They'd be cute on kids too, but I feel they are mature enough to wear as an adult.

And it's not just owls. Here's a cute Japanese design with a really fancy strap. If you like the strap, but want something more neutral, I recommend you also check out the bat design, it's lovely too.

It seems that once a design is sold, it really is gone though. So if you see something you like, you'd better get it. Otherwise you might miss out on something, like this adorable owl watch that I noticed in the "sold"-section.

Anyway, you can find the shop through this link. Enjoy!

Wishlist

Konokoshop has some of the cutest things! So instead of just one item, I thought I'd show you a whole bunch.

This mug is cuter to store that in is to use. Perhaps odd, but very appealing nonetheless!

I know you usually want to keep mice away from your food, but aren't these salt and pepper shakers adorable?
And the final food-related item: Pocky chopsticks. Such a clever idea!
They also sell lots of these coin purses. This is the koala of course, but the others are worth checking out too!
What did I tell you? Cute shop, right? Click here to see even more.
