2 Minimalism vs Maximalism from Jonathan Adler
I just had to repost this from Jonathan Adler's Musings...
I often have an internal struggle about this. Part of me really wants to have a really minimalist, modern space. But I also love really well designed objects, having them surrounding me makes me happy. I think this explains the balance of the two, or maybe rather how the two can coexist together. I hope that in my next apartment I will be able to achieve a really good balance of the two...

4 My first official vignette from LA...
There so much to do here to get all settled in. This one little corner is starting to really look like me...Can't wait to share more soon.
One new grey and white striped tray from Ikea.
One vintage yellow latte bowl found in Palm Springs.
It's Ok from Multi Polar Projects {I need to be reminded of this a lot lately.}
My new NERD glasses which I LOVE...
I knew my Iphone would be so happy in his new Jonathan Adler case...
and one EXTREMELY fantastic hand stitched whale. I cannot tell you how much I love this and how loved I feel every time I see it...thank you Brit and Ash...

8 Jonathan Adler Whale Ornament
Dear Jonathan Adler,
I noticed that you have created a great little whale ornament. I was wondering if you could please put him on sale. You see, I love whales...a lot, but I don't have a lot of money right now. I think this whale would be very happy living at my house. I would love him very much.
Thank you,
Jessica

2 The Lemonade Stand at the Parker Palm Springs
I think heaven might look a little something like this...I hope to visit here later this year. {Mom, are you reading this? Let's make it happen...} In fact I would do bad things to be there today instead of at my office...

1 Jonathan Adler Ornaments
I have realized recently that I should probably collect some Jonathan Adler pieces. I really love his work, but have never purchased anything. After hearing the line "Jonathan Adler: iconic American Potter" 10,000 times on Top Design I realized he really is an important part of American Art and my future theoretical children might be upset with me that I didn't pass any on to them when it is so readily available now. So, I'm thinking these Jonathan Adler ornaments might be a good place to start. They would be perfect on the tree or hanging in a babies room. {and no, this is not a hint that I am pregnant- I'm not}

4 Playroom Mini Cure / Weekly Flowers/ The LULU is HERE!
In preparation of my little sister arriving for a visit in NOLA. The playroom got a little mini cure that included:
-Hemming the curtains...finally!
-Organizing the craft supplies and my new goodie box from Decor8
-Cleaning off the desk
-Finally replacing the TV remote control that broke like two years ago
-New flowers from my favorite flower lady at the farmer's market
-Ribbon loops sewn on bath towels
-Lots of laundry
-A multi-day search for the perfect affordable summer weight blanket (which turned out to be a very light down alternate blanket in a Jonathan Adler duvet cover)
-New artwork on the art wall...much more vibrant now. Several of the items are from the Inspiration Box!
-A little gift of Burt's lip gloss and Lotion
And now I'm off to play....

Jonathan Adler has some great new products, many of which are black and white and even some yellow. Although, what I'm really loving is his line of sofas...they are really fantastic!
