Flashback: Studio Choo

When I first featured Small Stump (Now known as Studio Choo) that was back in 2008, they have been busy beavering away since then, working with Kinfolk and Martha Stewart among others creating stunning flower arrangements like the one below.

The thing I am most excited about is their book, The Flower Recipe Book.  I just LOVE this idea.  I have no idea how to arrange flowers (we did do the flowers for my wedding but all we did was buy a tonne of pretty wild looking flowers from the flower market and put them in jam jars) but this book makes me feel like making a pretty decent floral arrangement is now something achieveable.  The book would also make a great Christmas gift.

The Free Wedding

OK, so I'm getting just slightly obsessed with gorgeous weddings and this one is just amazing. Joy Thigpen and a group of talented friends got together and decided they wanted to do a photo-shoot to show off their various talents.  After a bit of brainstorming they came up with the idea for a fake wedding photo-shoot, but then they realised that a real wedding would be even better and so the free Wedding was born, a contest was held and the lucky winners got themselves a wedding designed, photographed etc by this talented bunch.  Via Once Wed

Fantastic Plastic

I am obsessed with shrink plastic at the moment and hve been experimenting with buttons and charms etc - I need to perfect it and try clear plastic and other colors too, but I'm really enjoying making these, especially the girl charms at the top.

Lyndie Dourthe - Les Fleurs

I originally posted about Lyndie Dourthe over a year ago here to rave about her wonderful creations.  The other day I was looking at Oh Happy Day, when I came across a post about some new work she has created in a botanical theme which is just fantastic - not that I would expect anything less of Lyndie.  I just love the colors and the fact that I haven't seen anything like it before.  From what I can tell of the work, she has created all the 'flowers' herself using other materials such as paper to create these bright floral pieces.
