Bento 18
Two cheesy face on a bed of fried rice with yellow cherry tomatoes. The nori punch out for the facial expression is a bit smudgy as the puncher is not that sharp as expected. Green capsicum was cut out using the wheel cutter as hair.

Thermos Lunch Box
Didn't prepare any bento today so was digging out some old photos and decided to post this purchase of a Thermos lunch box sometime back at Jusco at a special promotion price. I believe this product was in the market for a while cos' stocks are very limited as I couldn't find this in Parkson. The size is just right for an adult no frills kind of cute bento. Lol!
What's in the plastic packaging? An insulated aluminium bag, 1 steel container, 2 small plastic containers, a pair of chopstick and a elastic belt to hold the outer steel container together.
All ready to go, pack in the insulated aluminium bag.
Amount in ml for the 3 different boxes which if you pack compactly equals amount of calories taken but off course in the required food proportions.....

Fruits bento 12
Was in a hurry this morning therefore only managed a simple fruits bento with persimmon, kiwi and orange to go with heart shaped wholemeal bread. The oranges are very sweet always so towards Chinese New Year celebration next month when mandarin oranges are in abundant supply.

3 in 1 Egg Cutter
Finally bought the multi purpose egg cutter from Parkson a surprise find indeed as it is made in Japan by the Kai-Group. I have seen a lot without the little "arrow" knife to cut in zig zag half of the egg. Also bought a heart shape pancake mould plus a little 12cm non stick pan...just right for one fried egg!

Hello Kitty, Melody and Tenorikuma bento no 9
Here's the end result in a Pooh box . Rice for the faces, edamane to slot in the spaces, chuka iidako in Pooh's ear, cherry tomatoes for some color, crab stick to shaped ears, flower ,ribbon, nori for the expression and not forgetting the tiny winy corn as Hello Kitty nose.
The famous evergreen Hello Kitty bento gadget used for making the above. However those plastic nori punchers are quite hard to press on and gets stuck, so you need to push it out from opposite direction!. I find the metal ones are easier to punch. However the heart shape cutter to cut Hello Kitty ribbon and Melody flower plus Tenori ears was a breeze to use cos' its sharp. Wonder it will be so if I have used carrot instead but guess what? there was no carrot in my fridge! resulting in Melody's flower in crabstick too. So pathetic!
