New Beginnings

New Beginnings
and nothing says "NEW" like a new baby.

Today's card is just that. Celebrating a new baby. I have had this stamp for a while and never created anything with her. And she's so cute so I knew I had to break out the Copics and get her colored up!!
(Image is from Mo Manning)
Isn't she adorable?? I think so.

I used the current sketch at CPS

I decided to take some creative liberty and add the flowers in front of the center panel instead of behind. I hope that's okay.

I love the mini button flower centers too.
I have been wanting to use these mini buttons, and I thought this was a perfect fit!!

I am also entering this card for :

Rest, relax, football and laundry are on my agenda.
Hope your Sunday is just as relaxing!!

Mini Calendar

Happy Saturday Everyone,

Today I have a fun project to show you that I have been working on over the past few nights. It's a mini calendar. I made it for 2012 so that it can be used for a full year. I used the Maya Roads mini chipboard calendar and acrylic stand. I also used some new MME Lime Twist papers.

I am going to submit this for the following challenges :
&

Here are a few shots of some of the months

I am going to submit the following 2 pages for the challenge at

I was thinking of making a bunh of these for the craft faisr that I do in November/ December. What do you think? Would you buy one? I think it would make a great Secret Santa gift, or for a secretary or teacher? Let me know what you think. I would love to know!!

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great day!!

Easter Goodness

Happy Saturday!!
I had a pretty uneventful day day. Just the way I like it after a LONG week at work. When I was doing my morning blog hopping I found some surprising news. I was one of the TOP 3 at :
 The Sweet Stop.
Yeah!! That was a great way to start off my morning. Thank-you ladies.

Once I actually got my day started, I went grocery shopping and stopped by my LSS and picked up a few new goodies. They have a new gift wrapping section and I was inspired to create a pretty package for my niece for Easter. Here are the results.
I made this adorable 4 pack mini milk carton set. I know my niece will get a kick out of it. Each box is filled with different goodies. And she can use the little milk cartons after in her pretend grocery store.

I used a template that I found online at :
(great website)
It was super easy. I just printed out the template from my computer, directly on the patterned paper. I then cut and scored it and viola! Easy, peasy.
Here's a little picture of the money that I colored for the tag.
And here's a picture of the wrapped package, all ready to go!!

I am entering this for the following challenges :
I hope you like this project and I better run and create a few more packages for my other niece, my daughter and my nefew. Have a good day. Thanks for taking a look.

Birthday Boys

Happy Saturday Everyone,

I have been up to my ears in Christmas cards lately so this mornings craft session was a much needed break. This morning I have 2 cards to show you. My mom asked me if I could make her a few cards to give to my brothers for their birthdays.
(I know  - December birthdays - uggg)

So here is what I came up with :
This first one is for my brother, Eli.
I used the challenge from A Sketch For You To Try
This week they wanted for us to pick a fave sketch from the past and run with it. I chose this sketch  :

And my favorite detail on the card :

I love these large grommets but I don't use them very often because I have to pull out a few tools and take the card outside to wack it on the hard concrete...
they are just kind of fussy. But I do love them!!

And for my other brother, I used the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges
(a bit tweeked)

My brother is quite the handy man and just helped my parents reno their kitchen so I know this card will be a hit.
Here's a close-up of the Copic coloring

Okay well, we are off to the Disney On Ice and then on to my husband's mom's house to visit a new edition to our family.
(My husband's cousin just had their first baby, and we haven't met her yet, so I'm so excited - love babies) Gotta run,
Have a great weekend.

Crazy For Challenges & CPS

How is everyone?!! Hopefully your week has gotten off to a good start. You know what's great about Mondays? They only come once a week. lol!! ; )

Anyways, on to the good stuff. Here is a card I created with 2 different challenges in mind. I used the current sketch over at CPS #175.

And the current challenge at :
Crazy 4 Challenges is to use :
RED, WHITE AND BLACK.

Here's my take :

This little cutie is a stamp from one of my all time favourite companies : Whippersnapper Designs. Her name is Missy Mouse. I colored her with Copic markers. Here is a close-up of here :

Well, I'm hoping everyone's week goes by really quick and we can get back to enjoying our weekends!!
I'll be back to post some more cards later.

Monday Morning Mojo

So, my baby is home and it's so nice to see her!!
Oh... I missed her!!

Anyways, quick post...
here is a card I made for the current Etsy Inspired challenge.
Here is my inspiration :

and here is my creation :
I love all of the pastel colors used in the soaps and so I chose to use some pastels in my card. And obviously the fairy tops it off!!

Here is a card for the sketch over at Crazy 4 Challenges

It's just a simple card, but I love the sketch. I think it's an awesome way to use more than one patterened paper. I'm sure to use this sketch again!!

And for the last card for this morning :
it's for 2 challenges...
the color challenge at JUGS

and the sketch is from this weeks Card Patterns Blog

(I tipped it on it's side)

Hope you enjoy!! Have a great Monday!!
