SYTYCD in Concert...

In November Rusty and I got to finally use the tickets he had gotten me for my birthday.  We went to Melting Pot for my official birthday dinner and then drove out to Phoenix for the concert.  It was such a cool experience.  First of all, it was my first time to Melting Pot and it was yummy.
Then the concert was a blast.  It was in a smaller theatre and the dancers started out the night in the audience so we saw them up close! They did a lot of numbers from the season, but with different partners. And some of the dances they made longer. And one of them the Sand dance, they even added the girls too! It was so so so cool.  There weren't breaks between the numbers, they blended one dance into the next- so awesome.  Of course it is hard to take pictures of stuff like this, so you'll have to take my word that it was amazing.  Definitely want to go again!

What I'm Watching this Summer...

So, it is no secret that I love me some TV. And with LOST and 24 ending, I have to find some new shows to fill up my time when I am rocking Brenner.  That said, here's a list of shows you should be watching this summer...

Burn Notice

Michael Weston, how I love thee. You are like Jack Bower, but in Miami and, well, a whole lot cooler...Seriously, I love this show. It's only it's 4th season, so if you need to catch up add the first 3 seasons to your Netflix queue quick! Sam, is by far my favorite, although I love Michael's Mom in it too!

Royal Pains

This is just the 2nd season of this show. It's set in the Hampton's and it stars Hank who is a doctor.  I love his brother Evan R Lawson, CFO Hank Med, he says the funniest things and has basically no tact.  You have got to give it a try!

In Plain Sight
Gee, are you sensing a USA Network theme? I love this show too! It is about people in Witness Protection and the Marshall's that protect them.  There is always some quirky storyline and Mary (the main character) has the oddest outlook on life.  Love it. Plus, I love her partner Marshall- which is funny 'cause he's a US Marshall, so he's US Marshall Marshall.  Ha, gets me every time.

Of Course I'm watching SYTYCD

Oh man, how many times did you rewind the guy doing the Robot to the Fireflies song? I think I did like 7 times.  If you didn't see it, check it out.  Ah-maze-ing! And, it seems like everyone is the same genre. No big standouts like the ballerina, or crumper. I hope there's is a good variety in the top 10...

Wait, did you click the link and watch it? STOP, you HAVE to!

Ok, moving on. I'm watching the newest season of Deadliest Catch.

I am already mentally preparing myself for the episode where Captain Phil dies.  Horrible.  I've talked about my odd obsession with this show once before and I love that I am not the only one out there who enjoys it.

Well, I am sure my DVR will be stuffed full of useless shows for me to watch this summer. There are a few new shows from Spring I can not wait to see again in Fall. Namely, Life Unexpected and Parenthood.  And I am happy to have theses Summer fav's to keep me company. What are you watching?

A Little Reminicing...

Ever since I had Brenner, I seem to spend a lot of time in my rocking chair. Feeding him, rocking him, sleeping- I mean him not me, and watching TV. Well I noticed that my very most-est favorite show EVER Gilmore Girls was in reruns and right at the beginning of the series. So I started taping it and watching it.

After a month or two I noticed something... THEY WERE SKIPPING EPISODES! So annoying! Well, finally I dragged my lazy bum downstairs and brought up the DVD's (I have of the entire series).

Needless to say, all of my other prime time shows are on hold indefinitely while I watch Lorelei and Rory and all their crazy times again. I am almost finished with season 4 and I am already dreading it ending in season 7. This show was witty and quick and I loved it. Oh, the good old days. I swear one of my favorite compliments ever was when this cute 12 year old at church told me I reminded her of Lorelei.

Oh, Stars Hollow, Luke, Dean-Jess-Logan, Sookie, I miss you all.

And I already have an idea of who will occupy my DVD player when I finish with them... it's a toss up between Charmed, Alias and Friends or maybe I'll finally watch Heroes.

Hmmm, maybe I will be fair and just proceed in alphabetical order. What old shows do you miss? And I know one of you is wondering if you can borrow my GG dvd's...

Another Discovery Channel Addiction...

Well we already know I love Dirty Jobs. But another show that leaves Rusty asking the same question ("Why do YOU watch this?) is Deadliest Catch.  See here's the thing.  I hate hate really really hate seafood. Fish, shell fish, lobster, crab. Pretty much if it came from water I am NOT eating it.

So the fact that I never miss this show all about deep sea crabbing baffles most of my family.  Like last week when the show was centered around a fishing boat that went down. I was riveted! And I hate catfish! But I tell you what, when they found survivors after 18 hours in the Bering Sea - I cried- just a little bit, pregnancy hormones and all.  Plus the fact that Mike Rowe, Dirty Jobs host, does the voice over commentating is an over all bonus.
So, if you are looking for some entertaining -check out Deadliest Catch. And you will be forever grateful for where that yummy (?) King Crab comes from next time it arrives on your plate. Hmm, and I am sure Mike Rowe has done a show about making butter, so that should make you extra grateful...
As I play catch up, posts will appear in chronological order so, scroll down because there is sure to be a new post below...
