Love the weekend. Love sleeping in. Hate the fact that we slept like
NOTHING last night. So all of a sudden, in 2012 it seems we got a new
neighbor or he got new friends and they decide on the weekends to party
and drink outside at all hours of the night while talking VERY LOUDLY.
No music, just like load chatter to the point we can hear their
conversations. We have already called the cops, Blaine shut down their
power once and other neighbors yell "be quiet!" but these people (who
are young) don't seem to get the message! I got a headache from their
annoyingness and hated it so much that we moved to the guest bedroom to
sleep...can you believe that?!! Our guest bedroom bed is tiny and what
we once thought was an amazing mattress is soooo uncomfortable it
squeaks haha. So we took a NAP there for like 2-3 hours and around 5 am
we moved back into our own bed. Then we just slept until like 8! What
gives! We had breakfast, Blaine did hw, I cleaned the house like a mad
woman, did grocery shopping and then we were off around 4. Blaine went
to work on the race car and I hung out with my mom as Michelle was
having her formal and I took just a few pictures inside. It was dark and
raining cats and dogs so no luck to pretty pictures today but oh well!
She looked beautiful as always and Mitchell is always the gentleman that
he is. Hope they had fun! Mom and I then did dinner at Olive Garden,
watched Footloose 2011 and skimmed through Footloose 1960
something....or whatever long time ago haha I LOVED IT! Blaine picked me
up and we crashed :)

Race for the Cure
Monday, May 3, 2010
On Saturday :) It was such a sentimental day today! Today we did the Race for the Cure for the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation in celebration of Joni Davis, my mother in law. All 9 Davis' were there and it was so fun! even cousin Amanda came! So Alisha, Amanda, Jeff and Hailee ran while Blaine and I, Joni, Carson, Lydia and her friend Abby did the 5k walk. Blaine and I made sure no little kids got lost! We had to wait when they got tired :) It was so much fun to do exercise and celebrate such a wonderful survivor and cause. Everytime I thought about Joni I just chocked up a little bit because I was so happy that she was alive. So we still got a lot of exercise and it was fun to spend time with family. After, Blaine did homework and I was pooped so I did like NOTHING except go grocery shopping, at least that was something right? ha. and then we went over with the Davis' for a BBQ and it was super yummy! Some homemade ice cream to end the night and then Blaine was back to hw. I watched a lot of TV haha and it was fun! Super Sweet Savory Saturday.
So Thankful
Monday, November 2, 2009
It's the first week of November and although I have a lot to blog about, I would just like to share what I am thankful for because I am so excited for Thanksgiving!
1.) My wonderful Heavenly Father who knows me and cares for me. He listens and he knows what he is doing for me even though I feel lost.
2.) My amazing husband Blaine who makes me laugh, smile, and have fun. He comforts me when I'm sad and he helps me be a better person every day.
3.) My family who is always there for us and caring for our new family.
4.) Relief Society and the wonderful new friends that I am making.
5.) My home that can take care of my family and the future kiddos.
6.) My health and for the ability to survive the swine flu.
7.) My favorite TV shows that make me de-stress....like FRIENDS :)
8.) The Scriptures that provide blessings and inspiration
9.) Prayer that enlightens me and gives me hope
10.) My computer that allows me to share things with family and friends *haha*
Snowboarding with the Davis'
Sunday, January 25, 2009
So I wanted to take pictures of snowboaring in January 2009 but I forgot my memory card! SO the above picture is from April 2008....hahaha
This weekend I drove down to Brianhead Ski Resort with my friend Alisha and her wonderful family! I love them all and I cannot wait until their son Blaine gets home from his mission :) VERY SOON BY THE WAY! Well so we went down about 3 hours south of Provo and came home to the Cabin and were greeted by the one of the yummiest things in my life, Chicken Fettichini Alfredo....oh yes! The deacons were up there too practicing snowboarding and there were a couple of friends and so it was an action packed full house.
Friday night got really interesting when we started hanging out with Alisha's cousin Amanda. We saw some hilarious condos that looked like "That 70s Show" and we were on our way to another cabin to play games when all of a sudden, we were put into a "Rescue" situation and help out some people that got into a car accident. We dropped off people, dropped off luggage, and Alisha helped some people see a doctor that was staying in our cabin. After that we all just chatted and went to bed!
Saturday was so awesome going snowboarding! At first, I COMPLETELY forgot what I was doing! I haven't been snowboarding since April 2008 and I just blanked out and I got so scared! Slowly though, I regained confidence and realized "ok! I have done this before...DO IT!" Thankfully, i remembered everything the Davis' have taught me about snowboarding and I did pretty good the rest of the day. I was kind of slow but pretty good, I was trying to make sure I did all my carvings pretty good. I only fell down ONCE and I slamed my head down the mountain...backwards haha I look hilariuos when I do that. Thankfully I had Alisha's helmet and that surely saved me from a massive headache. After snowboarding, we played a bunch of games and had dinner! It was sooooooo hilarious playing this one card game that is called CROWNS i think? And later we played Taboo which is one of my absolute favorites. We were all beat and went to bed not too late!
Sunday was so relaxing. We had breakfast, went to Church and we helped Joni do some stuff for her Primary calling. We also hurried up and cleaned and Alisha and I had to rush back to Provo! We had some struggles with the snow but thankfully we were save and Alisha is an amazing driver! I love her so much! I got back to Provo 10 minutes before my 6pm meeting and I made it to the meeting RIGHT before the opening prayer....pretty awesome huh!?!?!
The picture below is ALSO from April 2008 but it gets the point across...I love snowboarding :)
