Baby, Its Cold Outside & Winter Song

Baby Its Cold Outside as sung by Liza Minnelli & Alan Cummung

I know there are about 50 different versions of this song, but this one is my absolute favorite.
Winter Song by Ingrid Michaelson & Sara Bareilles

This is such a beautiful song, and this video is lovely.

Christmas Card

If I was the type of person that sent out Holiday cards, (I totally wish I was by the way...) I think my card would look something like this:

Or this:

And I think the caption would saw something like,

"Wishing you a very Fraggle Christmas"

Aren't we just so full of Christmas cheer in front of the Christmas tree? Don't you love our matching green pants? We are awesome. The kid still won't smile in photos, but we will get there. (He is 9 months now by the way!) Is everyone ready for the big holiday? I think I totally am. Me and my family decided to do a few presents for each other this year, (In past years we haven't really done gifts) And I hate to say it, but somehow the idea of gifts are making me a little more excited for Christmas.
I know that's really bad, but its the truth, so sue me.

PS Check out this amazing photo of when Fraggle met Santa for the first time. Clearly, he is not a huge fan.

An Update. Sorta.

This past weekend I met up with some of my ladies and headed over to A Bar Named Sue where we met the weirdest guy ever. He was hot, but not hot enough to make up for all the weirdness.

Anywho, I've been totally sick with Bronchitis. Its been a miserable road I will say that much. I also had to get this mole removed , so now there is a hole in my leg that totally freaks me out to even think about. Finals are done for me, and I am hoping to get a little rest now. Somehow though, I doubt this will happen.

Now, just to make your day a little more merry and bright, here is a pic of a squirrel in a perfectly charming winter outfit:

Now bundle up your coats, and get your hats, friends and neighbors. Another storm is coming.

Stunning.

This picture is beautiful.
She is stunning.
I love them.
They are perfection.
She's my hero.
I've never been so excited for a wedding in my life. Much congrats to the happy couple.
I will absolutely be up at 4 in the morning to watch this wedding live.

Welcome To The 60's

For my intern class one of my big projects was to pick a theme and then put together a display for the display cases that go in our conference room at school. We have a vintage collection worth thousands of dollars, so to be able to be up close with all these amazing pieces, was really an honor. I picked, steamed, styled, everything for the displays. I picked a 1960's suit theme. All the pieces featured are actual vintage pieces, hand picked by me! They are all very delicate so you have to wear gloves when handling them. Take a look! :)

My first display case
This suit in Christian Dior. How cute is it?!?

I love this camel hair one so much.

The scarf on this one one of my favorite pieces that I found.

If only I had somewhere to wear a bright orange mod suit.

This one has been a favorite of a lot of people at school.

That hat looks so Piccadilly circus 1965 when put with the orange suit.

I love these gloves and purse.

LE LOVE

I just stole this genius picture from my new favorite blog LE LOVE
the concept is brilliant. check it out!

Ombre

So you know how every celeb now is sporting the Ombre hair color thing?
Seen here:

And here:

Remember how I used to have said hair color?
Seen here:

Then, remember how I dyed my hair one color as to not look tacky?
Seen here:

I suppose this was a major fail. Oops.

Blah.

So is it me or are things just sort of blah lately? I guess that weak ass blizzard was sorta exciting. (Okay not really). Things have to pick up at some point right? Oye Vie. Met a cute boy. That was fine and dandy, but now he is pissing me off so we will see with that. I just don't have the energy for it. I am to old for this shit. The term ends next week which I am very happy for. This past few months have been to damn much. I need a break!
I did go dancing with these hot bunch of ladies on Friday:

That was fun but I have learned a valuable lesson: I am too old to go dancing 2 nights in a row. I need to rest! Jay, Ali, Mayra and I tried to go dancing Saturday, and it was a fail. It is also bitterly cold outside. And it snowed like crazy last night so that's annoying. It was also super annoying that some extra large extra loud maintenance man banged on my door early this morning then pushed in my house accusing me that my washer was leaking. Its not. I knew it wasn't. He kept saying it was. I got annoyed. Finally he left. I went back to sleep. Now I am at work and I want soup. Cross your fingers things pick up around here.

Action Shots..

My fave little miniature Rowan turned 8 months this week! Can you believe it! I can't believe how time flies! Trixi, Fraggle and I headed to Red Butte for lunch on Tuesday. (You know I love Red Butte)

After lunch Trixi commented that I don't have any "action shots" with Rowan, so, we then tried to create some. This was half awesome/half epic fail.
This one just screams "Busy mom on the go" Something which I am very NOT.

In this photo I am apparently trying to steal him...

Here I am about to drop him on the pavement via Brittany Spears.

He thought me running around the parking lot like the village idiot was the funniest thing ever. He was giggling so much.

Behold! A pic of me and Fraggle where he is kinda smiling!!! I just look like a demon.

Ro Ro's first paparazzi shot. Every baby needs one.

Doesn't Trixi look just like the hurried celeb mom? It would help the scene if she wasn't smiling so much.

So cute! I love these two so much!

I love my afternoon lunches with Trixi and Rowan. Especially when Trixi shouts "threesome" at full volume and everyone sitting around us looks totally disturbed. Good times. Good times. :)

Not Letting Him Win

What a week! I spent most of last week pouting and feeling sorry for myself. Lame but true. Finally after about the 15th time of my friend Courtney saying "If you stay in the house all the time you are letting him win!" I decided she was right. So I got Allison and we rallied and headed up to Park City to check out a different bar scene. I'm glad we did! We went to a really fun bar on Main Street and had a great time! It was extra fun, because my awesome friend from the Spa, Bethany, was up in Park City too. Thanks friends for all your support in helping me heal my broken heart!

Courtney has got me loving the Jagger shots. Who knew they were so tasty?

Cute Bethany is so much fun. She's the best! She makes working Saturdays fun and not dreadful.

I love this pic of us. So cute!

Thanks Courtney for getting me out of the house and into the crisp mountain air! XOXO

Maybe now I can stop listening to "Jar of Hearts" on repeat...

Rosebud...

I bought myself this new L.A.M.B. bag this week.

I find when heart broken, one of the fastest, safest, ways to help it mend is to buy a new purse. I have acquired two fabulous heart broken fixer purses thanks to one particular boy. This last heart break was a doozy, so I felt I deserved something pretty.
I adore this bag. I think its beautiful and it reminds me of my Nana. (My dear Grandma Grover, who lately, I miss terribly.) We share a middle name of Marinda.

*Side note, for the last 28 years of my life I have been led to believe by my entire family, that my middle name is also the name of a type of rose. I just googled it to get a picture to put up. It is in fact a MIRANDA rose not MARINDA. My friends, I have been Shawshanked. By my own family.

Daddy Dearest

Today I get to work and happen to see 3 of the woman in my department peaking out our front window. "Whats the guy doing?" "That's strange." "Is he homeless?" "How weird!" "Is he just sitting there smoking?" "Should we call someone?" "He was there yesterday too."
I went to look.
No worries. Its just my dad.

I Needed Some Glee

This week sucks. Some of you know why. Thanks to those of you who have handled my tearful phone calls. Hopefully things will pick up. I LOVED last nights Glee. It was a highlight of this miserable week. I am so So SO happy my future husband Mark Salling is back. In case you were wondering how to put together and outfit inspired by him, I found this gem online:

Also How awesome is Kurt? He is quickly becoming my fave character. I also found this little number online and thought Brian would appreciate it:

What. The. Hell. I mean really. Who has time for these things?
Happy Wednesday.

So We're Out...

So RSL had a major fail and we are out of the play offs. Wah wah. I even rallied and wore my team colors for this game but it was all to no avail. We tried to take some photos after the game and they are all a major fail as well.
This was our one decent shot:

To get her to smile I told her something funny. This resulted:

I've got wonky eyes.

My mom looks oh so surprised.

Another Good One

New Ingrid

New Ingrid Song she sang in concert. I love it. It is in no one way a commentary on my current situation. No that's not sarcasm. Its really not. Enjoy your Monday.
