Sundance 2014

Sundance was a blast this year!
I didn't get to see as many movies as I would of liked to,
but I did get to spend a lot of time with
this awesome girl, her new husband, and I met some great celebs too!

I'll try and put some more Sundance stuff on here but
if you want to see some pictures of the most stylish stars I saw,
as well as where to get some of the looks they rocked at Sundance
check my fashion blog!

The Davey Foundation

Last year I lost a dear friend of mine that I had know since I was in Jr. High School.
He was a wonderful kind person and losing him was very hard.
He was incredibly talented and very involved in the arts especially music, theatre and film.
His amazing mother came up with the wonderful idea to start a foundation for
emerging artists in his memory.
Last Tuesday  the kick-off event  was held on what should of been his 31st Birthday.
I was lucky enough to be able to attend.

If you would like to donate to the Davey Foundation, or would like to apply for one the
emerging artists grants please click the link below.

Five Friday Faves-Winter Edition

Yes, its true I'm not a huge fan of snow/cold/winter. But since we finally had snow last week (And I realize how important snow is to UT for so many different reasons...) I present to you my Five Friday Faves, Winter Edition.

Fave Winter Accessory:

Scarves. All kinds! As long as they are soft. I always check a scarf for softness before purchase.

Fave Winter Spot:

Um yeah. Who wouldn't want to cuddle up on this porch with a hot chocolate and an even hotter boy? I feel like a deer could just wander up and take a snack from your hand.

Fave Cute Winter Thing:

I'm a big fan of the word "smitten".

Second Fave Cute Winter Thing:
Snowmans in love. So cute.

Fave Winter Pic:

Okay, to be honest I have no clue if this pic was even taken in winter, or of that's snow, but its to die for. Clearly my romantical side has started to come out.
(Don't worry my cynical, bitter, angry side will return soon I'm sure)

And a bonus, LOVE this song: Ingrid Michaelson -Men of Snow

Happy Snow Days Everybody. Enjoy it while it lasts.

New Year, New Excitement

Holy mackerel. What a bang 2012 came in with! I chose to spend my New Years Eve at a cabin in Kamas with my girl Courtney and some of her good friends. What a night! It was FREEZING seriously 10 degrees. Cars got stuck in snow. But I saw snow! After this year I pretty much forgot what snow was...

It was a wonderfully delightful NYE filled with bonfires, fireworks, food, drinks, campfires, dancing and lots of laughing and fun! I only wish I would of taken more pictures!
Here's to 2012! If last night is any indication, this year is going to be a blast!

Oh The Weather Outside Is Weather

Well friends, it happened. We finally got snow! Now, as you know I hate snow. But, winter has felt a little awkward this year without it. It came and went slowly and will probably be all melted by 5:00 today, but it did happen.
Yesterday, Mayra and I went on a little freezing, snowy venture to the Gateway where we bought these awesome hats:

Mayra went a little more snowboard fashion (I picked it out) and I opted to go a little more woodland creature.
We also did about a 4 minute walk around temple square before they shut the lights out on us. Wah wah.

Remember how I've been searching for Eggplant colored jeans? You don't? Well I have been. So far I've only been able to find them at Nordstrom and they were $160. That's a lot for purple jeans. Well last night I finally found some! At...wait for it...Pac Sun. Random, I know. but they fit just as well if not better then the Nordstrom ones, and were way more reasonably priced! I also have to say the Pac Sun staff provided some of the best customer service I have experienced in a LONG time. Every person there was friendly and helpful. Even though it was late and I'm sure they'd had a long day. So big ups to Pac Sun!
*We also bought out hats there. Just in case you cared.

Blah.

So is it me or are things just sort of blah lately? I guess that weak ass blizzard was sorta exciting. (Okay not really). Things have to pick up at some point right? Oye Vie. Met a cute boy. That was fine and dandy, but now he is pissing me off so we will see with that. I just don't have the energy for it. I am to old for this shit. The term ends next week which I am very happy for. This past few months have been to damn much. I need a break!
I did go dancing with these hot bunch of ladies on Friday:

That was fun but I have learned a valuable lesson: I am too old to go dancing 2 nights in a row. I need to rest! Jay, Ali, Mayra and I tried to go dancing Saturday, and it was a fail. It is also bitterly cold outside. And it snowed like crazy last night so that's annoying. It was also super annoying that some extra large extra loud maintenance man banged on my door early this morning then pushed in my house accusing me that my washer was leaking. Its not. I knew it wasn't. He kept saying it was. I got annoyed. Finally he left. I went back to sleep. Now I am at work and I want soup. Cross your fingers things pick up around here.

A Tribute

A Tribute to the most over-hyped blizzard in Salt Lake City ever.
