Good morning!
As summer continues to roll on I wanted to get this adventurous card that I made for the TGF July release posted here. As soon as I go my hands on the Mega Mini Summer set I knew that I wanted to take a couple of them on everybody's favorite summer activity... camping. And when it came to finding all the little accessory stamps to help create that scene, I didn't have to look any further than the TGF May release of the S'more Fun set and its digi add ons. Looking at these stylin' cuties I knew right away they would not be tent camping thus I inked up the travel trailer so they could 'rough it' in luxury, LOL! Because the accessories in the foreground come from a digital set I was able to resize them a bit bigger and really make the picnic table and cooler proportional to Anya and Ian... gotta love that!
Alrighty then, before I go I just want to give y'all a heads up... tomorrow is August 1st and that means The Greeting Farm is celebrating 10 years in business! So be watching the blog and the Facebook group for all sorts of fun and prizes throughout the month as well as an AMAZING pre-order and special promotion. Squeeeeeeeeee! I'm SO excited! :)

Have a rainbow day...
Hello crafty friends!
I'm very excited to be joining the launch of a brand new stamp company over the next few weeks. Please join me in welcoming Witt & Sass to our fabulous crafting community! Amy Osburn Purdie is the owner illustrator of Witt & Sass and she is just as clever and full of sass as the name of her business would suggest. Amy is launching with five fabulous stamp sets as well as some pretty innovative stencils and coordinating scene building mini stamps. Our first featured stamp set is the hilarious Chubby Unicorn. I couldn't resist inking her up in desert sand ink because I knew the no-lines coloring technique would make her look extra soft and squishy. The set not only comes with the two main unicorn images but it also includes some great accessories and fun and irreverent sentiments. The sentiment I chose for my card totally inspired the scene that I colored Chubby Unicorn into, complete with a rainbow. You can find more information and inspiration on the official Witt & Sass blog, Amy has put together an amazing team of card artists who are sure to please with all of the complete eye candy they have been creating. And if you haven't joined the Witt & Sass Facebook group yet, you can find it here. :)
Have fun checking out all the new goodies!

Sunshine for my soul...
TGIF!
I've got a card to share on the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page today and it had been a while since I colored up a Gorjuss Girl so Spring at Last seemed the perfect choice. She's another one of the extra large Gorjuss Girls and I love how they fill up an entire card front. At this larger size you can really play around with adding little details to her making the coloring extra fun. I also get a kick out of these bird's eye view images and the different perspective they bring to a card design. I can just feel the summer sun shining down on this lovely lass as she whiles away the day filling her nature book with drawings and specimens. Which ultimately lead to the whole sunshine themed sentiment to pull everything together. :)
Alrighty then, the new "BIRTHDAY" challenge just got under way so there is plenty of time to get inky and join the fun. As always there is a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store up for grabs and all the fall and Christmas goodies will be hitting the shelves before we know it!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Catherine Pooler

So jelly...
Olo!
So I'm going back a couple releases to finally share this card on the ol' blog. I wanted to create the look of being immersed within a school of jellyfish and yet keep the over all design clean and simple. So I grabbed the jellyfish from the Hand's Down set and inked the main one up using tuxedo black ink. Once I masked him off I started to repeatedly stamp more jellyfish using london fog. By choosing a lighter ink it really helps make them appear to be further in the background. You may also notice that I wiped away the winky eye on all the background players and used my N2 Copic to open it back up, just another little trick to help the yellow guy stand out in the crowd. The stamped part of the sentiment comes from the Happy to Sea You set and I combined it with the 'fabulous' die to add a bit more impact. For the background I revisited the ink smooshing technique and it was a nice reminder of how much fun it is to do. ;)
Well thanks for dropping by, I'll catch ya on the flip side!
Supply list:

Let's get together and chill...
Hey there!
How about another card from the July Greeting Farm release? These stylish gals from the Mega Mini Summer set are beating the summer heat with some icy cold treats. The cart and shaved ice cups are from a separate stamp set that I had in my stash but the scale of it was too perfect not to pair up with these kiddos and create a classic summertime scene. Even though I didn't end up using it on the card, the Copic colors I used were all pulled to match my beloved, long retired, KI Memories paper stash. The mix of pinks, oranges and greens have long been a favorite of mine, they are just so happy looking. The background is a pretty simple little park that I sketched in using my Copics, it doesn't get much easier than some bushes and a tree, but it is still quite effective. :)
Alrighty, I'm off for the day. Have a good one!

Big Birthday Wishes...
Hey there!
I have another fun birthday card to share today using a different birthday girl from the Penny Black Cake and Wishes set. Rather than presents this sweetie has an oversized cupcake to help us celebrate the happy occasion. The little polka dot paper is from an old My Mind's Eye paper pad and the back side of it actually has a bunch of cupcakes on it that I pulled my color inspiration for the card from. The primary color scheme isn't one that I do often but I really like the youthful vibe it lends to this darling birthday girl. I pondered coloring in a background for her but in the end the clean white space is much more effective. The result is a bright and happy birthday card that makes me smile. :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Catherine Pooler

Salty kisses...
Good morning!
I don't have a lot of time this morning so I've gotta make this a quick post. In fact it has been a super busy weekend with not a lot of crafty time to be had, lucky for me I have plenty of TGF release day cards still waiting to go up here. One of those cards from the latest release is this one featuring a mix of the tiny Mermaid Kisses cuties each with her own personal pal from the Happy to See You set. I did use a mirror stamp to flip the little orange mermaid so she would sit nicely on the hermit crab, otherwise it is just some simple masking and stamping to get them all in place. The underwater cave scene was inspired by one of Sandy Allnock's cards over on Instagram and even though it was a bit of a challenge to figure what layers to put down first I couldn't be happier with the end results. Sandy's work always inspires me and challenges me to be braver and try new things, if you haven't checked her out yet you really should.
Ok, I'm outta here... catch ya later!
Supply list:

A fairy happy birthday to you...
Hey there!
Well here we are at the 21st already and that means it is time for a new challenge over on the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page. Our new theme is a super easy one... BIRTHDAY! What card maker doesn't need a good stash of birthday cards in their stash? Now is the time to add a few more to your collection and join the challenge fun in the process. 7 Kids recently got in a bunch of these darling fairies from Whimsy Stamps and I couldn't wait to color one of them up for this challenge. It was hard to choose which to ink up first but I finally settled on Faye the Fairy, she's just so delicate, elegant and lovely. Sure, she isn't a traditional birthday image but by pairing her with a clever sentiment Faye totally works for a sweet birthday card. So don't be afraid to get creative and look at your stamps with fresh eyes.
I'm also entering this card into the current "anything goes" challenge at Whimsy Stamps. :)
Ok, now it's your turn to create something for our "BIRTHDAY" themed challenge. As always there is a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store to be won!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Catherine Pooler

Happier than a seagull...
TGIF my friends!
I recently got my hands on the newest Leading Lady stamps from Ellen Hutson and I couldn't wait to get them inky. So for my card today I had a lot of fun with masking to really deck out Beach Lady using a lot of the little accessory stamps that come in the set as well. I'll admit that some of it was a bit tricky and took some multi-step masking to create, most notably getting the towel over her arm then behind her skirt, as well as getting the hat sitting on her head. I love the challenge of it though and when it all comes together this well it really makes the time and effort all worth it. Next I grabbed the Stay Salty stamp set and added the cheeky little seagull and sentiment to give this card a playful spin that totally makes me smile. The rest of the beach scene was colored in using my Copics and I kinda just love how it all came together... I might even be happier than that seagull! LOL
Alrighty folks, I will see you back here tomorrow since it is challenge day at 7 Kids... have a good one!

Have a magical day...
Hello friends!
It's my day to post over at the Greeting Farm blog and even though we just wrapped up the July release, I had one more idea featuring some of the new stamps that I simply had to get it out of my head and turn it into a card. By now some of you may have noticed how much I enjoy mixing new and old stamp sets, so how could I not pair up one of the new Mermaid Kisses cuties with one of her magical fairy cousins from the Fairy Happy set? Talk about a match made in Fantasy Land, LOL! To create this happy little meeting I inked up the mermaid but then wiped the ink away from the underside of her tail before stamping. This allowed me to color the water up around her, giving her the appearance of floating in the shallows. Then I stamped the fairy flying above and added the twirly 'steam' stamp from the Mini Remix Brewtiful set behind her to allude to the fairy's crazy flight path. The rest of the scene was colored in using my Copic markers and I added some glittery Stickles at the end to make it look like the fairy is sprinkling pixie dust all over her wet friend. :)
Alrighty then, I hope your day is a crafty one!

A ton of fun...
Olo!
So I'm jumping back to the TGF June release to share this second card that I made using the super fun Wild Time set. For this card I paired up the sweet elephant and the toucan by simply stamping the toucan right on the elephant's head, no masking necessary. Because I wanted to play off the sentiment that also comes with the set, I grabbed a balloon from the Mega Mini Lift Off set and gave it to the elephant to hold. I was inspired by a Sandy Allnock card that I saw on Instagram a while ago to try my hand at creating an over grown jungle for these two party animals to live in. I'm fairly happy with it but I had a couple of uncooperative green markers that started getting all streaky and resistant so all I see are those flaws. It was a lot of fun to play around with though so I will totally be taking another go at the whole jungle thing some time in the future. :)
Ok folks, I'm off for the day... have a good one!

If your thighs touch...
Hello again!
Yesterday I shared my card using the gorgeous Cancer zodiac girl in all her star sign awesomeness. As is becoming tradition around the ol' blog, today I have a very different version of the stamp that actually didn't require too much altering and what I did do is super simple. Initially I was thinking of wiping away the crab but I kept coming back to the problem of what I could replace it with since her hand looks like it needs to be holding something. It wasn't until I decided to embrace the crab that my A-Ha! moment hit... I would turn her into a summer time beach babe. First I wiped away the flowers from her hair before stamping then used a black multi-liner pen to draw in the missing hair. Next I cut the image off just above the knees, grabbed my multi-liner again and drew in a simple Y shape to transform her long, elegant gown into a stylish one piece swimsuit. Seriously, you don't have to have any amazing drawing skills to accomplish this transformation. Once I masked off my new Cancer girl, I used the retired Beach Background stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to set the scene and I couldn't be happier with the pairing. The sentiment is from a new Whimsy set called Salty Hair and considering I drew in those thighs, it really made me chuckle. ;)
Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday star...
Good morning!
I can't believe we are half way through July already! I figured that if I was going to continue on with my personal challenge to create birthday cards for each of the Stamping Bella Zodiac Girls then I had better get Cancer done before the signs switch up in a few days. So here she is in all her watery glory. Cancer is the sign of the Crab and she is sensitive, imaginative, emotional, sympathetic and kind. She possesses an active, shrewd and intuitive mind. Her signature colors are sea green and silver, the shimmering colors of the water and the moon. This go round I was inspired to create a bit of a scene as I imagined this gorgeous, goddess like figure emerging from shallow bay waters surrounded by sweeping willow tree branches. I didn't go super detailed with it since I wanted the sentiment to still be easily read over the image. Again, the sentiment is a mix of stamps with the top being from the Papertrey Ink Stargazer sets and the Cancer description comes with Miss Cancer herself.
Be sure to check back tomorrow when I share a fun card that I've made with the altered version of Cancer, it is quite the 180 from this soft and serene design and such an easy change up. ;)

We will have more cards featuring the new stamps from our Design Team Leaders starting the 16th so be sure to stop back by The Greeting Farm Blog to see more inspiration.
For my card I grabbed the Foxy Fun set once again and created a downtown shopping scene using three of the little critters. I tried to keep it very cartoon like with my color choices and stylizing of the background since the whole thing kinda reminds me of video games like Animal Crossing, LOL! Alrighty, I'm not going to keep you any longer, thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop!

High tide or low tide...
TGIF my friends!
Well here we are at the third and final day of July previews for The Greeting Farm and we are wrapping things up with the Mega Mini Summer set. This stamp set includes six darling kiddos ready to beat the heat during these hot summer days as well as a beach sign, sailboat, butterfly, slice of watermelon and three sentiments. Once again I found myself quite inspired by all of the different card making possibilities within this set that I actually made four cards (the rest of which can be found over on the TGF blog today). The one I chose to share here first is a personal favorite. I always love what I do and am happy with the cards I create but every once in a while I finish putting one together and it just stands out in a special way. Something about this sweet gal had me taking her to the beach and I was able to use the sign and sailboat stamps from the set to help me do just that. I love how it looks like she arrived bright and early, just as the sun is coming up. Perhaps she wanted to watch the sailing regatta or maybe she just wanted to claim a prime spot in the sand. Either way there is a peaceful mood to this card that I really respond to. :)
Alrighty, you know what to do... head on over to the TGF blog for even more Mega Mini Summer fun from myself and my fellow Farmers. And don't forget that the entire release will be available for purchase on Sunday as well as a chance to win all four of the July stamp sets by participating in the blog hop! Supply list:

One amazing adventure...
Hello, hello!
Are you ready for day two of the July Greeting Farm release previews? Today we have another fantastic clear set to share called, Foxy Fun. This set has 12 mini foxes getting into all sorts of smile inducing antics. And just like the mermaids yesterday I couldn't stop coming up with card ideas using these foxy friends (so of course I have more samples that can be seen over on the TGF blog). For the first card I'm sharing here I decided to pair up the three foxes that are on the go, whether it is by bike, razor or scooter. I wanted the card to look like you are catching the scene as they fly by so I placed them behind this cool circle birch tree die. I know that I would do a double take if I was out walking in the woods and came across this crazy scene, LOL!
There is plenty more Foxy Fun cuteness to be had over on the TGF blog. I promise you won't want to miss all of the foxy fab-ness from my fellow Farmers!
