Whoops!

So, I kinda lost Radical.

I'm only 4 chapters away from the end and had every intention of wrapping that puppy
up before the end of the weekend but I cannot find that dadblasted book
ANYWHERE!

Oh wait, I just found it!!!!!!!

It was in my desk drawer at work!

...

In true "Amanda fashion" - I have officially put myself behind schedule.
I'm going to have to fly through these chapters and through Don't Waste Your Life.

Book reviews to come soon!!

Resolution 2: Serve my Comm. and Share the Gospel

I
REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY
want to impact my community for Christ.

I am a working mom whose husband works nearly 80 hours each week and we
have very little flexible income to give.

I love people and hate to know that so many of my neighbors don't know
Christ and are perishing - all I want to do is show them His love
so He can save their lives.

This year I hope to figure out a way to
minister to them.

Here are some ideas I've come up with:
  1. Put greeting cards on their doors on holidays with a sweet message and scripture.
  2. Invite the occupants of my building over for a get together.
  3. Host a Bible study for the women in my building.  Hopefully to branch out to the other 14 buildings in my complex.
  4. ...and that's about it...
Do you have any ideas?

{My church is very very small and does not have a current outreach program so I'm venturing out on my own.}

Resolution 1: Read the Bible Cover to Cover

I'm joining many many people in their pursuit to read the Bible
from cover to cover this year.

It's been on my list for many years but I've never followed through with it.

A friend of mine left a comment on my last post
with a link to her church's 1 year reading plan.

Here's the link for you all, if you'd like to join me.

I'm getting a late start on this so we've got some catching up to do if you're
interested in doing this with me!!

So Long, Status Quo

This year, I am done with the old self.

I've catered to my flesh far too much for far too long.
It's time for me to be intentional with my life.
It's time for me to stop living for today and start living for Christ.

With that said, I'm not going to make resolutions to lose weight or get organized.

My resolutions this year are meant to challenge my faith and grow my love for Christ.

  1. Read the Bible cover to cover.
  2. Serve North Euless and share the Gospel on a regular basis.
  3. Read 52 books in 52 weeks.
  4. Do a better job of planning and organizing NEBC's Women's Ministry.
  5. Make my home safe, comfortable and functioning for my family but ultimately for God's glory!
What are your resolutions?
