i'm hosting the latest two week challenge at tag tuesday. since our most recent challenge went all in on hallowe'en and spooky vibes, i thought i would encourage us to celebrate day of the dead. the day of the dead (Spanish: Día de los Muertos) is a holiday traditionally celebrated on november 1 and 2. it is widely observed in Mexico, where it largely developed, and is also observed in other places, especially by people of Mexican heritage. the holiday involves family and friends gathering to pay respects and remember friends and family members who have died. there are a lot of interesting themes and emerges that emerge: skeletons, skulls, marigolds, food stuffs, and altars in remembrance of the dearly departed. i hope people will have fun with this theme, and i'm offering a few tags to get us started.
my images are mostly from gecko galz collage sheets and paper packs, with other bits and bobs from my stash. i hope you will play along, and perhaps use this opportunity to remember loved ones who have passed on. love to all.
