school days 2024

at this time of year most children are returning to school after summer break, if they have not already! i'm hosting the school days challenge at tag tuesday and am indulging my nostalgic feelings about returning to school! while i confess i am perfectly happy not having a little one to get ready for school any more, i very much enjoyed it when my own child was school aged.

tarot inspired

i'm not very familiar with tarot, but once i was in a mystical/spiritual type store and there was a deck that was not a traditional tarot deck. the cards were beautiful illustrations and the invitation was to look at each card and listen to what its message might be for you. there were no words or traditional tarot prompts. so in the spirit of that deck, i offer these 5 cards, in hopes you will find an interesting message in each.

the new two week challenge at tag tuesday is flowers, chosen by dear DT sister Pinky. here is my offering:

i used rubber stamps (flowers by all night media and butterfly on the right by hero arts) on a background paper by gecko galz. i used markers to give the stamps a bit of color, and added the words from an arthouse whimsy set.

i'm sad i missed the last challenge but i've been traveling a lot for work. hopefully i'm settled in at home now for awhile!
