harvest time tiny inspiration continued -- and a freebie!

today is my feature day at the gecko galz customer challenge blog and this month we are playing on the theme of "harvest time."  on the 1st of the month i shared a couple 1 inch square creations.  these two are 1.5 inch square creations.

supplies: 1.5 x 1.5 inch base from inchie arts; gecko galz "thankful for fall jewel it" collage sheet; gecko galz autumn colors mini paper pack; distress ink; paper flower.

instructions: i fussy cut numerous images from the "thankful for fall" collage sheet.  i covered the first inchie arts base with paper from the autumn colors pack and distressed the edges.  i then arranged images from the collage sheet.  i glued a paper flower to the back to create a background for the lady. 

supplies: 1.5 x 1.5 inch base from inchie arts; gecko galz "thankful for fall jewel it" collage sheet; gecko galz mayflower paper pack; distress ink; enamel dots.

decking those halls, part 2... (and a gecko galz freebie!)

today is my feature day on the gecko galz customer challenge blog so i am sharing some additional inspiration on our theme for november: "deck the halls!"

supplies: cardstock tag base; little christmas icons collage sheet by gecko galz; die cuts, brads, distress inks and ribbon from my stash. 

instructions: i cut everything out and adhered to cardstock.  cutting out the little kissing kids was tough but i made it!

supplies: cardstock; grandma's house digital paper pack; merry christmas slides jewel it sheet; die cuts, stickers, flowers, jewels, distress inks and a paper ornament all from my stash.

instructions: cut, arrange and glue!

masculine - steampunk - digital

in keeping with my current obsession with digital creating i decided to try making a digital tag for tag tuesday this week.  the theme is "masculine" and i went with steampunk, another obsession.  the results:

all images by dezinaworld. dezinaworld offers a huge library of FREE digital images.  if you are interested in this art form you should really check it out.

july gecko galz inspiration and a digital freebie!

today is my feature day on the gecko galz blog which means i also get to give you a free digital image!  but first let me share 2 more ATCs on our customer challenge theme of "sun, moon and stars."

supplies: ATC base; gecko galz solarium paper pack; gecko galz "sun, moon and stars" collage sheet (new this month!); gecko galz "dream within a dream" collage sheet; sentiment by tim holtz; enamel dots.

instructions: i covered the ATC with paper from the solarium paper pack.  i cut out the moon and star image from the "sun, moon and stars" collage sheet and the woman from the "dream within a dream" collage sheet and arranged them to my liking.  i added the sentiment and enamel dots to finish.

supplies: gecko galz solarium paper pack; gecko galz "sun, moon and stars" collage sheet (new this month!); gecko galz "dream within a dream" collage sheet; washi tape, prima flower; die cut border.

instructions: i covered the ATC with paper from the solarium paper pack.  i added random strips of washi tape.  i cut the two women images from "dream within a dream" collage sheet and the moon from the "sun, moon and stars" collage sheet.  the final touches were the prima flower and die cut border.

garden of dreams -- may gecko galz inspiration continued, and a freebie!

today is my feature day over at the gecko galz challenge blog and i have a few pieces to entire you to join the "garden of dreams" customer challenge.  and of course, a freebie!

garden of dreams domino pendant

supplies: gecko galz "butterfly kisses" collage sheet; gecko galz "nature's bliss" collage sheet; domino, bail, diamond glaze; black sharpie

instructions:  i sanded the domino and adhered the image from the "butterfly kisses" collage sheet with the diamond glaze.  i cut the bird from the "nature's bliss" collage sheet and glued it on as well. i outlined the perimeter with a black sharpie.  i covered the domino with another coat of diamond glaze and once dry, added the bail on the back and the chain as well.

my next piece is not focused on gardens but uses one of the new collage sheets this quarter, "go ask alice":

supplies: gecko galz "go ask alice" collage sheet; clock image from my stash; domino, bail, diamond glaze; black sharpie

instructions: i sanded the domino and adhered the image from the "go ask alice" collage sheet with the diamond glaze.  i cut and added the clock, outlined the domino with a black sharpie, and did a final layer of diamond glaze and once dry added the bail and chain.

i printed and colored the digital image with colored pencils then cut it out and adhered it to cardstock covered in paper from the gecko galz "spring awakening" paper pack.  the border and hydrangeas are stickers from my stash.

gecko galz inspiration for march and a freebie!

today is my day being featured on the gecko galz challenge blog so i have several 3 easter cards to inspire you to join our monthly challenge.  the challenge this month is "shabby chic easter."  see the instructions below to learn how to play along -- and to get a freebie as well.

supplies: gecko galz "easter joy" collage sheet (brand new this month); gecko galz "my little chickadee" collage sheet; background paper by my artistic adventures; rick rack; butterfly by anna griffin.

instructions: i covered my card stock with the heart paper from my artistic adventures then added the rick rack.  after cutting out images from the "easter joy" and "my little chickadee" collage sheets i glued those to the card and added the butterfly last.

supplies: gecko galz "floral symphony" paper pack; gecko galz "easter joy" collage sheet; bunny ribbon from my stash; butterfly by anna griffin.

instructions: after adhering the "floral symphony" paper on the card stock i added the image from the "easter joy" collage sheet.  i completed the piece with the ribbon and butterfly.

supplies: gecko galz "easter joy" collage sheet; gecko galz "card toppers" collage sheet; background paper by my artistic adventures; butterfly by anna griffin; ornate border from my stash.

instructions: i followed the same procedure here, cutting our my chosen pieces and gluing them to the cardstock.  i think this card is my favorite.

one last valentine in this month of love

though the holiday itself is well behind us, we are celebrating love all month long at the lunagirl moonbeams blog.  i've got one last valentine to share, this is one with friendship love in mind.

on this tag i have background paper that was created by karen from lunagirl and then a vintage image from the lunagirl "carte postale" collage sheet.  i added wings to the image from the lunagirl "rainbow wings" collage sheet.  the rest of the embellishments are bits from my stash -- a flower border, ribbon, washi tape and a heart brad from eyelet outlet.

one more week to join the challenge.  you don't have to use a lunagirl image but if you do you'll be entered twice for the chance to win shopping credit at the lunagirl store!  here is a valentine freebie from the lunagirl blog for you to download and use if you like!

gecko galz inspiration for february plus a freebie!

today is my day to be featured on the gecko galz blog which means i have a bit of inspiration for you and also a free digital stamp!

my first piece is a card called "you are so beautiful."

the background paper is from the gecko galz "floral symphony" paper pack and the woman is from the "nature's muse" stamp set, also by gecko galz.  i added a sentiment and a prima flower to finish.

my second piece is a tag called "be my valentine."

the background paper is from the gecko galz "smitten" paper pack. the vintage valentine is from the brand new "valentine wishes" collage sheet.  i added paper flowers, enamel dots and ribbon.

both pieces also serve as a reminder to join the gecko galz customer challenge this month which is "hearts and kisses."  if you win the challenge you'll get fabulous prizes from gecko galz.  the piece you link up must include at least one item by gecko galz.  check out the etsy shop or the pinterest page for gecko galz goodies to play with!

we have one last week for the babies and children challenge at lunagirl moonbeams.  i hope you will link up a creation with babies or children -- the prize winner will received shopping credit at the lunagirl store.

these sweet sisters are from the lunagirl "children" collage sheet.  i added lace, flowers, a dragonfly and they are on a background i created with collaged papers, stenciling, glazing, etc.
