springtime butterfly moo

seriously, the birds are singing louder and louder these days.  i do believe spring is finally showing its beautiful face.

i made this "moo," an approximately 1.2 x 2.8 inch creation in response to the "spring" challenge at moo mania and more challenge blog and to the "butterflies" challenge at the take a word challenge blog.

the images are all from the gecko galz "spring time jewels" collage sheet with background paper by lunagirl.  the clock is from a kaisercraft sticker sheet and there is a prima flower at bottom.

enjoy; love to all.

springtime

every day there are a few more hints that spring might really come to my pacific northwest home in the US.  the challenge prompt at tag tuesday this week is "springtime" and i have 2 tags with spring fairies to welcome this season.

all images and backgrounds by lunagirl.  in the springtime anything is possible and i look forward to new adventures!

eggs

spring, renewal, new life -- eggs.  "eggs" is the prompt at tag tuesday this week.  using a variety of images and background papers from lunagirl i created this tag.

i actually cut out the tiny eggs from the collage sheet to put them in the nest so i worked hard for this tag!  remember there is a "spring flowers and birds" challenge at lunagirl moonbeams challenge blog this month and you still have a  few days to link up for the chance to win a prize from the lunagirl store.

i live in the pacific northwest where spring teases us for many, many, many weeks before it really comes.  it could be awhile. nevertheless the crocuses and such are peeking out in the front yard so there is hope!

i'm linking this to the "spring equinox" theme at the take a word challenge this week, and to the "flora and fauna" challenge at the eclectic ellapu.

love to all.

i've got one last inspiration piece for you for the lunagirl moonbeams "spring flowers and birds" challenge this month.  another pendant:

this is a one inch pendant using a frame, glass and chain from a kit offered at altered pages. the bird image is from the "birds #2" collage sheet by lunagirl.

you are invited to link up to the challenge and you have until the end of the month.  you do not have to use lunagirl images to join the challenge but if you do your entry is counted twice!  giving you two delicious chances to win shopping credit at the lunagirl store! there are many bird theme collage sheets here.  and keep an eye on the lunagirl blog -- karen often offers freebies on the blog.

march gecko galz inspiration -- a spring charm

for a last bit of inspiration with gecko galz this month i am sharing a spring charm.

the charm is a gypsy soul laser cut circle charm.  i used the zen garden paper pack by gecko galz and the spring dominoes collage sheet by gecko galz for the background and focal image on this ornament.

i cut and arranged the paper and image adhered them to the ornament base, covering with judikins diamond glaze afterwards.  i painted a bit of spring green pan pastels on the front and sides and then another layer of diamond glaze.

this could also be used as an ornament or even a pendant with a proper ribbon or chain to complete it.

i hope you enjoy!  the current challenge at the gecko galz blog is "shabby chic easter" and you have about a week to link up a themed creation using at least one item from gecko galz..  check out the gecko galz pinterest page for freebies you can use or go to my blog post of march 6 for a darling lamb digital freebie that you could use as well.

hope is the thing with feathers...

for week 3 of the lunagirl moonbeams "spring flowers and birds" challenge i've made a card.

“Hope” is the thing with feathers BY EMILY DICKINSON

“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

the feather, face, bird, nest and background papers are all from lunagirl collage sheets.  i reference all the bird themed sheets at the link below.

you are invited to link up to the challenge and you have until the end of the month.  you do not have to use lunagirl images to join the challenge but if you do your entry is counted twice!  giving you two delicious chances to win shopping credit at the lunagirl store! there are many bird theme collage sheets here.  and keep an eye on the lunagirl blog -- karen often offers freebies on the blog.

mother moo i?

at moo mania and more the current challenge is to use newspaper. meanwhile at the cheeky challenge the challenge theme is mother. here is a piece speaking to both:

i took a scrap of newspaper from the new york times, adhered it to my "moo" base (1.1 x 2.8 inch piece cut from cardboard) and covered it in "old paper" distress ink.  the woman and baby are from a gecko galz collage sheet "mums the word" and the butterfly is from gecko galz "birds and butterflies" collage sheet.  there's a bit of washi tape in there as well as paper flower and enamel dots.

enjoy; love to all.

fantasy, in blue and green

at tag tuesday our prompt is "blue and green" and at cheeky challenge the prompt is "fantasy."  i've made two tags on the theme of "fantasy," liberally using the colors blue and green.

the fairies are all from gecko galz, a collage sheet that was a freebie during a blog hop a couple years back.  the background papers are also from gecko galz.  i added flowers, dots, brads, washi and other goodies.

enjoy; love to all.

curls and swirls

we're exploring "curls and swirls" at tag tuesday this week.  i have some old curly swirly stamps from connor's collectibles which i stamped over background paper by jodie lee.  i then added some lovely fowl from lunagirl's "chickens" collage sheet.

i finished this off with some flowers from impress and enamel dots.
i'm linking to "favorite pet" at moo mania and more.
i'm also reminding you that the challenge theme at the lunagirl moonbeams blog this week is "spring flowers and birds."  chickens are birds, right?  i hope you will play along for the chance to win a prize from the lunagirl store!
