a sassy showgirl in the theatre of dreams

for week two of the sassy showgirls challenge at lunagirl moonbeams i combined a wonderful showgirl from the lunagirl collage sheet of the same name with some stamps from the character constructions theatre of dreams stamp catalog.

the moon is from a different collage sheet although interestingly the character constructions set has a very similar moon stamp. i've added some goodies that felt right to me here -- background paper, a fan sticker, and other flourishes (and not surprisingly a butterfly...).

one more week to join our fun and for a chance at winning a shopping trip to the lunagirl store. what? you say you don't have any showgirl images to work with?  well our friend karen at lunagirl has fixed that!  visit her website for some showgirl freebies!

add some flowers

cheerful stamp pad challenge #83 is "add some flowers."  we are inviting you to add flowers to your creation in some way -- the central image should be something other than a flower and then you add some flowers, got it?  for my DT card i used a hummingbird digital image from our challenge sponsor bugaboo stamps.  and then i added some flowers!

i printed the hummingbird on some background paper from TLC creations then added my flowers, brads, a butterfly die-cut and washi tape.

a randomly selected participant will get some shopping credit at bugaboo!  two weeks to play...

spring flowers (and more shabby green)

flowers are actually starting to around here and at tag tuesday our challenge prompt is spring flowers.  i decided to us another vintage image from lunagirl  as the "shabby green" challenge continues through sunday.

the tag background is flowery washi tape and i have a giant flower from k and company. i love the leafy ribbon from alphastamps.

happy st patrick's day!  i'm celebrating with two pieces today. the first is a DT piece for the current challenge at lunagirl moonbeams which is "shabby green."  this challenge lasts one more week and there are some fun freebies at lunagirl moonbeams here if you want some goodies to use.  here is my piece, an ATC:

the background papers (leaves and music) and the lovely fairy are from lunagirl.  the flower is from k and company and the butterfly brad is from alphastamps.

now here is a more traditional card i made for the holiday using a free image from the graphics fairy, a site where there is truly no end of fun free images.

a curious way to get around....

for my DT piece i made an ATC with an image from our challenge sponsor lunagirl.  this fellow has a different way of getting around but it seems to work out okay.

pretty in pink

for tag tuesday this week, pretty in pink.  my tag base had a lot of stuff going on -- i gessoed cardboard, scribbled over it with pastels and then later inked over with pink pigment ink.  the girl and flowers are from alphastamps.

shabby green challenge

in time for the greenest of holidays arriving soon, we are creating on the theme of "shabby green" at lunagirl moonbeams for the next two weeks.  i decided to give another run at altering an altoids tin and this time i succeeded in creating one that actually does close!

the goddess is from lunagirl's "shabby green" collage sheet, the butterfly wings are from the "rainbow butterflies" collage sheet and the leafy green background paper is a creation by lunagirl's karen.  the rest are stash items.  i did put coordinating papers on the inside of the tin as well but i was too lazy to photograph that for you...

maps charts and diagrams

maps charts and diagrams is the prompt for this week at tag tuesday and the prompt gave me a steampunk feeling so that's what i went with.

the ancient map piece and "passport" are torn pieces from an old address book and a brochure.  the girl and luggage (and background DP) are from lunagirl.  the steampunk brad is from alphastamps (they have a lot of awesome brads).  at the bottom the fancy letters spell "GO."

for they shall never be bent out of shape!  i made this card for the new two week "anything goes" challenge at the cheerful stamp pad.  our challenge sponsor is gecko galz.  as usual a randomly selected winner will get some shopping credit at their wonderful online store -- gobs of lovely collage sheets and more.

i had a lot of fun making this.  the dancer, clock, eiffel tower and the yellow patterned designer paper are all from various gecko galz collage sheets.  the stamped sentiment is from silver crow creations.  butterfly border is k and company.

shining goddess

time for another goddess in celebration of the goddess challenge at lunagirl moonbeams.  you have one more week to link up a creation featuring your favorite goddess for a chance to win a little shopping spree at the lunagirl collage sheet store.

i stamped a sun stamp from judikins and then cut out and placed the lunagirl goddess over the sun face leaving only the shining sunbeams.  i bordered the picture with lace and flowery designer paper.
