Countdown to the new Lord Inquisitor Trailer

From the team at The Lord Inquisitor:
As you might have read on Facebook the teaser is completely finished from the visual side:) I got the latest track from Adam recieved and it sounds amazing as always:) We found some things that could be improved tho and he will change this in the next days. So it is really close to be finishid and I assume that the teaser will be available on sunday evening. I think you will like it, it is really short but it has a nice 40k heroic feeling:) Ok maybe the chaos player won’t like it then haha – it is just about Torquemada as I wrote earlier. Mainly just because I completely remodeled him as you might know;) So stay tuned, on sunday it will be finally online:)

Other than that my new job here is really awesome, I met a lot of new people and already learned a lot:) In fact, with the tasks I am assigned now at work I think I couldn’t be happier, it is absolutely what I wanted to do and so I am very motivated.  Frankfurt is also a nice town, many skyscrapers and stuff – I love those views:) What will be diffucult is to find my new appartment, I was told it is like war here in Frankfurt. Also a bit like a casting show.  Right now I live in a company appartment which is nice but I only got my notebook here… and the HDD with the Lordi project on it. If this gets broken don’t worry, I have a complete copy at my old home:) So you remember my old nice work studio? Right now it looks like this here in Frankfurt:)

For all you Yanks have a super Memorial Day Weekend and thank a veteran!  I will be posting all weekend so check back every morning.

The Daily Buzz: Chaos rumors, Black Library releases and more....

Chaos Rumors:

From The Dark General on Warseer:

A quick tidbit...

Apparently Chaos will still struggle with enemy Psychers, though Khorne will ne able to nullify psychic abilities that target HQs and some unit champs that can take a specific wargear upgrade, most likely Collars of Khorne or something very similar.

However Thousand Sons will have more basic unit upgrades available to them, especially the unit champ/sgt. A curious comment was made by one of my buddies..."what do you suppose Tzeentch daemon engine would look like?"

If Alpha Legion does gain the "spies net work" ability, enemy units may be forced to take Ld tests to move or shoot.

If Alpha Legion does gain the "spies net work" ability, enemy units may be forced to take Ld tests to move or shoot.

Apply Liberally:

Black Library:

Meanwhile, the Black Library is releasing digital Wallpapers for your desktop of some of there best cover artwork.  I bought one.  Heck, only $ 2.49.

The Lord Inquisitor:

Meanwhile, over at our favorite fan project, this update from Erasmus Brosdau, the brains behind The Lord Inquisitor:

As you might know I completey remodel Coteaz, or at least let’s say to 90%. I did use some existing parts, but my main intention is to make him look more natural, as if there really is a human inside. I want a good contrast to the GreyKnights and I want Torquemada to be able to move almost realistic. I can basically forget that with the Grey Knights, as their super heavy armor is totally not working at all in reality, so I need to find a way of looking heavy and still flexible. With our friend Torquemada I think I’m on a good track. The arms and hands are now much better, in the last version his hands were super huge and more like a mechanical construct. I think all in all this makes Torquemada more likable to the viewer.

Please go to the official Lord Inquisitor site and read the rest of Erasmus' post and see some great new photos of the WIP.

The Lord Inquisitor Grey Knight Strike Cruiser and Aaron Dembski-Bowden post

Well, things have been heating up over at The Lord Inquisitor since they got the official thumbs up from GW.  Aaron Dembski-Bowden has been brought on board to help with the story and a new 3D render of the Grey Knight Strike Cruiser has gone up.

First, Aaron has posted this on his blog which you can find at:

From Aaron:

I’ve seen those things, too. Hey, we’ve got a lot in common, right? Let’s do lunch.
When I got back from the HH meeting and the SFX con, I had about eight million messages and forum comments that said “ARE YOU WRITING THE LORD INQUISITOR?!”

I’ve been following the project for a long time, and I’ve commented in various forums about how I was variously amazed at the detail, thought it was beautiful, and was mean enough to say I hated (I think I actually said “not a fan of”) the voice-acting and the script. But for a proof of concept trailer, that shit is far beyond killer.

A while ago, the Lordi (teehee) overseer Erasmus Brosdau (which is surely the most 40K name ever) got the green light from GW’s legal dept. and put out an open call for people to help out and make the thing happen as a 40-minute movie. That’s sort of when I came on board. I asked what they were looking for, and how the process had gone with GW. Nothing major. It quickly turned into something a bit majorer, which isn’t a word, but I’m going to pretend it is as I quite like it.

So, to answer your question(s): Yes, kind of. I’m not writing the movie all by myself. It’s a collaborative effort, and I’m just one little gear in the machine – I didn’t jump in and demand to run the show, or any shit like that. Obviously, everything’s in early development right now, so no spoilers. Suffice to say that I’m on the team, and absolutely freaking thrilled about that fact. I may make a billion suggestions and they all get ignored. I might write the whole script and we end up using a single scene. That’s just how this jazz works; I don’t want people thinking I just moved in to rule someone else’s show. This is still Erasmus’ brainchild, I’m just on the team.

And to finish this all up, the new Grey Knight Strike Cruiser pics. (makes me want to play BFG!).

The Lord Inquisitor Goes Legit!

To say things are going well for The Lord Inquisitor would indeed be an under statement.  But it is good to see Karma pay off.  The Lord Inquisitor, for those of you who have been living under a rock, is the amazing fan film that has everyone's attention.

From Erasmus Brosdau:

Games Workshop decided to finally give me the 100% green light for this project and now this project is totally free and don’t has to hide anymore:) The Emperor listened to our prayers and made the impossible possible: The first allowed fan movie for Warhammer 40.000:) So tomorrow I go to my local GW store and buy something haha, just to support them, and you should do the same; buy lots of Torquemada figures:)

And on the story writer announcement:
The main story writer for The Lord Inquisitor is Aaron Dembski -Bowden, well known for his Warhammer 40.000 novels for the Black Library and Horus Heresy:) This is of course so cool, I don’t know what else to write – and there is probably no need for that;)

So big things happening at The Lord Inquisitor and I want to congratulate Erasmus on his success.  But it is all about being exceptional and executing well.
Can't wait for more.

Alec
