January Beautiful World Tour.

Beautiful World Graphic
Hello Everyone and welcome to the January Flourishes Beautiful World Tour! Meredith is our hostess this month and she chose to challenge us to create a tag!

Did you know that your travels around the Flourishes World gives you the opportunity to WIN a free FLOURISHES STAMP SET?? All we ask is that you leave a comment on each one by January 31st for your chance to win!

If you've jetted in from Kathy's blog, then you have arrived at the right destination! If you haven't, perhaps you'd like to start your journey back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss all the beautiful inspiration along the way!

For my tag, I used the beautiful flowers of the Bloomin' Aussie Florals stamp set. The flowers are made with a few layers of vellum. I colored the image with the following Copic markers:

Copic Sketch Candy Pink CollectionCopic Sketch Lenten Rose Collection

Green Grass

I cut the image with my Silhouette Cameo. You can find the cut file here. The oval pierced background is made with the beautiful Victorian oval die. I stamped the white background with the retired Damask Background stamp. I clear embossed it and I love the way it looks. I just added some pearls, seam binding, ribbons, twine and a cute little tag. The sentiment is from the Tiny Flowers and Tags set. I also stitched the edges and here it is:

I wish we could already see beautiful flowers in the garden, but everything is covered with snow... we will have to wait for a few more months! Now we are enjoying going skating and skiing with the children. Winter is nice when the weather isn't too cold!

December Beautiful World Tour.

Beautiful World Graphic

Hello Beautiful World! Naomi is our hostess this month and she chose to challenge us to create something that shines like ice and glass! So cuddle up with a cup of cocoa and get ready to embark around this beautiful world!

Did you know that your travels around the Flourishes World gives you the opportunity to WIN a free FLOURISHES STAMP SET?? All we ask is that you leave a comment on each one by December 31st for your chance to win!

If you've jetted in from Meredith's blog, then you have arrived at the right destination! If you haven't, perhaps you'd like to start your journey back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss all the beautiful inspiration along the way!

For my card I chose the beautiful stamp of the Christmas Candles set of Flourishes. I colored it and then added some glossy accents to make it look like glass. I also put some tiny red glass beads on the decoration around the candle.  The bow is made with some cream seam binding. The sentiment on the tag is from the retiring set Alleluia Angel. The layers are made with the Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two and the Floral Ovals dies. The doily is made with the Cheery Lynn Designs French Pastry die. One of the background is made with the retired Damask Background stamp of Flourishes. I clear embossed it. The other background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. The poinsettia is made with the Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia dies. I stitched the edges, added some ribbons, lace, twine, a red button and two cute little bells to finish it off.

We have snow in Finland now and this morning the weather is very cold, -23 degrees Celsius (-9,4 degrees Fahrenheit)! It's time to put wood in the chimney and light candles!

Hugs.

Just in time for the Timeless Tuesday #195. We are asked to look at the photo below and make something that is inspired by the colors or objects we can see. I made a vellum heart with one of the stamp of the Hearts & Flowers set. I love it! I also made a felt heart, two Marvelous Squares die cuts and one Fancy Tags Two die cut of Spellbinders. The stamped background is from the Love and Lace stamp set. I stitched the edges, added some ribbons, lace and twine. I also added a little tag with a sentiment from the Tiny Flowers and Tags of Flourishes. Here it is:

For my card I chose the beautiful Christmas ornaments from the All That Glitters stamp set of Flourishes. The sentiment on the tag is from the retiring set Alleluia Angel. The different layers are made with the Spellbinders Marvelous Squares dies. The doily is made with the French Pastry die of Cheery Lynn Designs. I embossed the white background with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. It looks like snow!

I put some glossy accents and glitter on the ornaments to make them sparkle! The green ornament was colored with my new Copic markers from the Olive Green Collection.

To finish off my card, I added some ribbons, silver metallic string, a rhinestone, a button and two cute little bells.

Here in Finland we already had our first snow and days are quite dark, we don't have a lot of sunshine anymore...  candles are just perfect for this time of the year!

For You.

I've been at home for almost two weeks with a very bad sore throat, but now I feel better and I'm so happy to be able to post a new card! I received a few Copic markers a while ago and this is my first card I made with them! I wanted to make a card for the Think Pink Challenge. I chose the beautiful flowers from the the Flourishes Garden Picks stamp set. I put some glossy accents on the jar. I added different Spellbinders die cuts (Fancy Framed Tags Two, Classic Scalloped Hearts, Classic Hearts and Marvelous Squares). There's also the beautiful French Pastry doily of Cheery Lynn Designs. The background paper is from My Mind's Eye, Fine and Dandy. I stitched the edges and just added a few rhinestones, ribbons and a cute little tag to finish it off. The sentiment is from the Flourishes Mix and Mugs stamp set. I will also enter this card to the CR84FN Color Challenge.

Baby Boy.

Just in time for the Flourishes World Card Making Day Challenge! It's a 5 senses Challenge! Blue for the sight, flowers and baby for the smell, wood, felt, vellum and twine for the sense of touch, die cuts for the senses of hearing. I chose the cute onsie from the Hello Baby! stamp set. I attached it with little wooden clothespins on a twine washing line. I made felt and vellum wings with the Sizzix Heart Wings die and added different die cuts ( Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two, Decorative Labels Eight and Cheery Lynn Designs French Pastry) as a background. The stamped flowers are from the Love and Lace stamp set. I also added three flowers. To finish it off I added cute little pearls. I might also add the first letter of the baby's first name on the onsie when I'll know who will receive this card.

Come travel with us and see which team member has inspired us to get crafty!

If you've jetted in from Claudia's blog, then you have arrived at the right destination! If you haven't, perhaps you'd like to start your journey back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss all the beautiful inspiration along the way!

There are so many lovely cards and it was difficult to choose which card to CASE, but I chose THIS beautiful card made by Claudia. The main image of my card is from the Garden Picks stamp set. I made two of the flowers with vellum. I embossed them with white powder and put some tiny golden glass beads on the middle of them. I also put some glossy accents on the jar. The sentiment, Happiness, is from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set. Like Claudia, I stitched many of the layers. The white vellum butterfly  was made with the Fanciful Flourishes stamp set. I just added a button and some ivory jute twine. I also put a sheer satin scalloped edge ribbon, a white velvet ribbon and some lace. The embossed background was made with the Spellbinders Elegance folder. It took a lot of time to make this card and even fall is coming very fast here,  I'm happy with this card which reminds me of the beautiful summer flowers we had. I wish Happiness to all of you!!

And here's Claudia's beautiful card:

White Poinsettia.

This week at Flourishes the Timeless Tuesday #186 is all about Christmas... Pinterest Christmas! All we have to do is find a Christmas inspiration photo on Pinterest, link it to our blog and show off our Pinterest inspired creation! I typed the word "poinsettia " in the search and found this beautiful poinsettia card of Becca Feeken from Amazing Paper Grace. On my card, I made a vellum and white embossed poinsettia with the Poinsettia & Boxwood stamp set of Flourishes. I cut some parts of the flower twice and put them on foam pads to give a 3D effect. I also put some yellow rhinestones in the middle. I just added a little tag, some ribbons, twine and a yellow button. The sentiment on the tag is from the Alleluia Angel stamp set. Like it because it's in french! This card is very simple but I love how this vellum poinsettia turned out!

Violas.

This week at the Timeless Tuesday #185 of Flourishes we are asked to create a mini card! No larger than 4"x 3"! That's really small! I chose the violas from the Botanical Bookplates stamp set of Flourishes. I added some dimensional pearlescent paint on the middle of the little flowers. The white background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. I made some stitching with my sewing-machine. I added a white flower, a Marianne Design butterfly, some green velvet ribbon and twine. I used the sketch of the Mojo Monday 257-Contest.

Here's the Mojo Monday sketch:
