Topical Tuesday #88 - Mixed Media Christmas

Welcome to another Topical Tuesday!  This week I've created a Christmas card (always a good thing this time of year!) using a bit of mixed media and watercolouring!

Here's my card :

I started by creating my background.  I cut a sheet of watercolour card to 11cm x 7cm then adhered a torn piece of designer paper using a gel medium.  The pattern in the paper just peeps through.

Then i covered the entire area with Gelatos and blended with my finger.

Take a look at the video and I hope you enjoy!  Just yell out if you have any questions :)

Hugs for now,

Andrea

Topical Tuesday #83 - Silhouette Shades

Hello all and welcome to a new Topical Tuesday!  This week I had to get a move on as it was my turn to put something together, and I haven't stamped in weeks!!  I had a 21st card to make last weekend which I did, but didn't have time to photograph would you believe lol!

This week I thought I'd go to one of our silhouette sets - Fanciful Flowers - and play with colouring and shading the silhouette images.

You can see the strokes of the pencils and I think it almost makes it look as though I drew the flowers...what do you think??  This is of course what a lot of stampers have done with character images, something I haven't tried as yet :)

To match my flowers I simply swiped the side of my white card base with DI Worn Lipstick then attached my top panels.

Here's my video for today, and I hope you enjoy watching!!

Have a lovely evening everyone!

Hugs for now,

Andrea

Topical Tuesday #75 - Lil Monster in (Prisma) Colour

Hello and welcome to this weeks Topical Tuesday!  This week it's 2 hours earlier than usual, and for a very good reason!!  At 8.00pm tonight we start 3 days of Sneak Peeks in the lead up to our release this Friday night!  We are very excited because we have three new sets to share, so we hope you can join us!

This week I needed to be very organised because not only is Friday our release but also Nathan's birthday, so I hope you'll forgive me for yet another colouring TT, but he loves this stamp (nearly as much as I do) and he loves green, so here we go!

Here's the card to begin with and then below I have a video just showing a bit of the colouring process using Prismacolor Pencils and a Blender pencil to blend.  You'll see in the video that I added in a highlight of yellow, but then when I came to finish my card I decided on a non-yellow orange so I did the balloon again and fussy cut it before adhering with dimensional foam.  The shirt I went over with white and added in an extra crease :)

The base card was swiped with DI Ripe Persimmon and the centre base I simply stamped the ink pads directly on my paper randomly, adding in the number 10 to finish!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again in just a little while!

Hugs for now,

Andrea

Topical Tuesday #68 - Distressed Tag

Hi and welcome to Topical Tuesday!  This week I've made a tag - coloured my image with Prismacolor Pencils, and distressed the tag.

Here's a look at the finished tag :

I created a video as I coloured and sponged and played, so I hope you enjoy :)

Update : it seems to be taking a lot longer than usual to upload so if it isn't showing straight away it won't be far away :)

We'd love to see your tags, so be sure to play along and share your creations on Stamp - Embellish - Create!  Use the tag - tt068 - so we can easily find yours!  I still have some Distress Inks in the clearance section of the store at great prices, so be sure to take a look at those as well!

Hugs for now,

Andrea
