Hey everyone,

Ok, having a few issues with loading pictures on my blog, so I will update soon with Stacey's fabulous inspiration photo.   In the mean time, if you would like to play along go HERE.

My inspiration for this weeks card is my little mans' 6th birthday.  These were such great colours for a boy card.  Loved them!

Raspberry Suite CC 19

Ok, I'm back....this card was definitely inspired by the t-shirts. It is a technique call 'embooss resist' (check bottom of post for a quick tutorial). I've been hangin' for another 'Raspberry Suite' challenge and so couldn't wait to play along. I only wish I could get my christmas cards done as quickly LOL!

Stamps: Fancy flourishes (PTI), Star prints (PTI)
Card: Pink pirouette, pink passion, whisper white
Ink: Pink pirouette, soft sky, certainly celery, pink passion, chocolate chip, versamark
Accessories: Zigzag scissors, rhinestones, sponge, heat gun, clear embossing powder

Emboss Resist:

* Sponge different colours onto white/vanilla cardstock
* Stamp image with versamark over sponged cardstock
* Use clear embossong powder and heat emboss
* Sponge chocolate chip over embossed image

Hope these instructions help. This method hasn't always worked for me, but this time it turned out 'not too bad'.

A flourish Birthday ...

Recently, I was asked to do a 40th card for a friend. If is for a lady, and I am not too sure about these colours (my husband was a bit neh?, but my girlfriend loved it). Frankly, I don't think you can make a bad card using this set ('Fancy flourishes') from PTI.

Stamps: Fancy flourishes (PTI), Everyday button bits (PTI), Polka dot basics II (PTI)

Card: Parisian breeze (DSP), chocolate chip, kraft (again), baja breeze and whisper white

Ink: Chocolate chip and baja breeze

Accessories: MM Slice, scallop edge punch, vintage buttons, rustic twine, chocolate twill ribbon, sponge
