Teacher you make life SWEET!

Hey there my crafty friends is bloggie land,  this is teacher appreciation week at my son's school and I truly feel blessed that my son has such an amazing teacher and aide.. So, I have a couple of goodies I'm making them this week and today I wanted to share one of them (Yes, I said "a few").. Well, I decided to cruise Pinterest  the other day for inspiration and I can across a few fun ideas.. The one that inspired this project was a insulated cup filled with Crystal Light packets and a tag with a pun on it.... So, here's what I came up with:

On my tag stamped (using the Peach Keen  PK-104 What Time is it?? background stamp) and
heat embossed the green background.. The cute face on my apple  was stamped
with the Peachy Keen PK-293 The Cornies Assortment stamps..

The sentiment was made using 2 of Joy's Life Stamps ..
The apple is from the "Give a Hoot" cart..

I found the cups at Wal-Mart for $2 for both of them..
I used E.A.D. Designs vinyl ( which I love), Sesame Street Font (name),
StoryBook (marque), &  Plantin SchoolBook (apple)..

Here's the photo I was inspired by:

Supplies I used:

* Cricut carts: Sesame Street Font , StoryBook, Plantin SchoolBook, & Give a Hoot
*Everyday Occasions stamps & Yummy Puns Stamps   ( Joy's Life Stamps)
*Vinyl  (E.A.D. Designs)
*Ink
*Embossing Powder (clear)
*Heat Gun
* Pens (white & black)
*1 1/2" circle punch
*Peppermint Stick by Trendy Twine
*Insulated Cups
*Crystal Light Singles
*Clear Baggies

Happy 1st Brthday Invites and Banner (PS DT Project)

Happy Friday everyone!! Today is a very special day for me... It's my daughters 1st Birthday!!! I can't believe she is already a year old.. Where does the time go?? Well, it is also the 1 year anniversary at Practical Scrappers this week.. So, to celebrate they are having 5 different challenges.. Each day will have a different prize that will be awarded at the end of the week. And for some extra fun, join our forum and join us for an online crop all weekend long!

So to create my projects, I used my Design Studio to weld the happy from the Just Because Cards cart, the flower & butterfly from the New Arrival cart, and the one is from the Sesame Street Font cart together... The stitches & the butterfly's face were made with a black marker and the flower's face is a stamp from the Close to my Heart set "Scrapbook Kids Faces and Hands".. On the invitations, I used a stamp for the birthday and embossed the background with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder.. On the banner, I cut some large butterflies and flowers from the New Arrival cart.. The birthday was cut from the Sesame Street Font cart and I used a black marker to make stitches on them as while.. To finish the banner, I used a some ribbon and a hole punch..

Challenges:
Pile it On- Butterflies, bugs, and bees
Paper Sundaes -stitching
The ABC Challenge - A is for August
Simon Says Challenge - Sing It Baby (Happy Birthday)
Stamp Something -Photo inspiration

Mmmmmmm.. One Sweet Melon

Well, here is a page of my son that I just finished.. To create this page, I used the Just Because Cards cart to cut the slice of watermelon.. The cute little ant paper piercing peeking around my tag is from myscrapchick.com.. They really have some cute stuff.. To create my title & subtitle, I used my Design Studio and the following carts Sesame Street Font, Opposites Attract, and Graphically Speaking.. The black swirls were done with a stencil and a black marker.. To finish this page, I did some stitching, added some brads, picture tabs, and some stickles...
