My DT card

My inspiration for this card came from Sue Nelson, Heartprints.net thank you Sue for showcasing this lovely embossing folder by Craft Concepts and available from Cutting Edge Crafts.
Sue's site is well worth a visit!!!
The frame just fits onto an A6 Bazzil card. I gave my beloved Copics the day off and coloured this gorgeous
 Penny Black ted with Promarkers.
Bear ~ Satin, Putty, Tan and Cinnamon
Clothes ~ Azure
Fowers ~ Pear green, Khaki, Pink carnation, Orchid, Buttercup, Pastel pink, Lipstick red, Tulip yellow, Peach, Terracotta, Lavender and Powder blue for the shadow.
I also used black and burnt umber Polychromos pencils for the deeper shadows.

I heat embossed the Personal Impressions sentiment with cosmic shimmer amethyst mist lustre embossing powder.
The button is clear I stuck a piece of the Bazzil paper on the back and the ribbon is a good way to use up all the little ends.

My DT card

I'm making cards at the moment for my grandaughters nursery, they're raising money to buy a new camera.

Isn't this a cute shape, when it's closed it fits in to a C6 or 16 1/2 x 11 1/2 cm envelope.
You can see how to make an  A5 version on Leann blog of Crafters Companion.
Although it does say you need 6 A5 pieces of card, you only use 4 and one to cut a square from.

A tip that might help is not to use thick card as it's quite springy to close, especially if matting and layering, light weight card stock is fine..

I've used digi papers again I'm really loving the papers from Pink Petticoat ( blossom and mocha plain ) and matched it beautifully with a paper from Popcorn Bear CD... floral.

The cute ted stamp is Penny Black 'snug' coloured with copics E30 31 YR21 and the background R000
W1 shadow

While visiting Cupcake Craft challenge I hopped over to Shelly she inspired me with her doodle borders well worth a visit, she has some gorgeous creations.

I embossed the front panels with a Cuttlebug border folder and added pearls Hobby House Crafts the ribbon was from Whichcraft uk it might not be on the site but you can order by phone.

The sentiment was written on the computer. I left the other oval empty for a personal message.

Some challenges to join in
Penny Black Saturday ~ pretty in pink
Truly Scrumptious ~ pearls and swirls
Digital Tuesday ~ use a die cut and something digital ( digi papers)
Everybody art ~ 3 papers 3 flowers optional ribbon ( hope the embossed flowers are ok)
Ooh la la ~ for someone special..... and mums are really special!!!
Fairy tale challenge ~ diamond fold card

Pile it on challenge # say it with words

Hi,
The challenge over at pile it on is to make a creation with a sentiment as the focal point ( no image )
and the other requirement is to enter at least one other challenge.

I'm also entering in the Lily of the Valley challenge which is to use blue and silver.

My niece asked me to make a wedding card. I did start out with the intension of making it contemporary
but it kind of evolved into vintage, but she likes it.
The base card stock is by stamping up from the neutrals assorted pack from Victoria
I used an embossing folder by sizzix it has 3 lovely borders in it too, on stardust card.
The patterned paper is from my stash which I punched with 2 different  Martha Stewart heart punches.
Check out the do crafts online shop I got the heart sentiment punch for 99p it's by Anitas, along with others, a bargin!!!! I stamped with versafine sepia.
Blue aster flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts  white one from stash.
Nestys lables 4 for tag and sentiment mount
 Thanks for stopping by.
Love Cherie  //*.*\\
