The good old red white and blue.

Hi friends and welcome to my lovely new followers it's such a pleasure to have you join us,

There's a new challenge for you over at Creative Card Crew.
For this week we'd like you to use

The Colours Of Your Country

So any creation the choice is up to you.

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is Digital Delights by Lou by Loo

I thought that Bryce in a Car would be perfect to use the colours  red white and blue

I took the inspiration to make a digi image in to a shaped card from the super talented Colette from

It's quite amazing how versatile quality digi images can be. I took this one up to 5" high at the tallest point and the same at the widest and the definition is still good.

It said stop on the sign, in my graphic package I put a white rectangle over the word and added
 Happy Birthday instead.
I  printed the image on all the colours in a light weight 160gsm card and cut out all the pieces, in the same way you would put a die cut together.

As I wanted it to be a one layer card I used pencils to colour his skin and hair as copics would have gone through. I did use  B60 to add some shading but forgot about the white areas. It has gone through a little.
I'm going to keep this one as a sample and next time print the back first.
I used 250gsm cardstock but if your printer won't take that weight you could stick the image to the front of an A5 card blank and cut around it.

On the side view you can see the back. If you look close the fold is just to the side of the card which lost part of the bumper but I added that as an extra piece if that makes sense.

Thanks for stopping by have a great day,

My DTcard

You wouldn't believe the trouble I had to get a good photo. I thought great it's a sunny morning but it came out too light. I must have tried to take a photo in 4 different rooms arrah!!! and ended up using the stairs and it's still not brilliant, which is such a shame as it's so sparkley and bright.

I'd like to say thanks to Pam for showing me this lovely card shape.
I don't know if it has a name other than an easel card.
It's a basic 5 3/4" square card scored across the middle. Then I penciled a line across the other way and lined up a square nestability where all the corners met the lines to cut out a square center.
Use the next size scallop nesty to mount  your image and the bottom corner sits inside at the front.
The opposite point is on a foam pad. I made the little boy a pop up.
I punched the borders with an EK punch and went around them with crystal glitter.
The gorgeous digi images are from our generous sponsor, Emma the snow angel and Catchin' flakes.
Coloured with Copics:
Skin, E000 E00 E20
Hair E31 E33
Clothes R81 RV32 BG10 BG15 BG32
Snow and shadows BG000 B00
Papers from the Daisy and Dandilion 'Penelope and Percy' pad

                                           TEDDY BEARS PICNIC

There you go you're singing already lol...so you can let your imagination run wild (I did)
as long as you have a stamped or digi stamp bear on    and have fun.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Sew Many Cards

As a teddy lover this song has always been a real favourite and I just had to use it in a story book for my delish grandchildren.

Other challenges to join in
Cute card Thursday ~ Tree-mendous .........do you think 28 will be enough, hence my title.
Little Red Wagon ~ Summer Time .......they're on a summer picnic
Crazy Catz ~ Animals
By The Cute and Girly ~ Animals

This is an A5 page mounted onto bazzil card, I used my Bind it All to put it together. I will change the rings I only had 5/8  and think smaller ones would be better.

I  started by stamping images onto copy paper, cut some out and then I played with them and made a black and white story board for each page. I used some of the tree's as masks.
The  magnolia stamp has 4 trees on it i've stamped straight onto the card stock on every page.
All the images are coloured with copics and a few Promarkers, I used so many colours the list would be endless!!

I was looking for someone in diguise and found this cutie... Teddy Baby from Squigglefly
He's a digi stamp so i cut him out and sat him on to a Magnolia picnic quilt, that's stamped straight on.

The sky and grass are chalk on every page.
I used Art Impressions stamps for the tufts of grass, stones, flowers with Marvey La Plume markers.
For the title I cut the letters on my Cricut with George cartridge, I really must use it more.

I computer printed the words onto the pages first.
First bears to arrive at the picnic, what a great dad with his three cubby's,
Digi stamp called 'Off We Go' from Phindy's Place, printed on.
Digi stamps Cuthbet Sweet and Kiki Cakes from Pollycraft these two are cut out.

More cutie bears having fun, playing lots of games, and scrummy food.

These digi stamps are from a Digi download kit from Cuddly Buddly.
You get coloured images as well as line stamped ones, I didn't use any of the coloured ones, apart from
the paper on the front cover which  is also from this kit. As I said earlier I hand coloured all the images.
I used a white sakura souffle pen to make the dots.

More bears playing hide and seek from the kit, hand coloured and cut out.
The large tree is Magnolia and stamped direct to card stock.

As previous page.

Arh they're tired, last page phew!!
'Teddy bear bedtime story'
This is a digi stamp by LilyBoo designs and available from Cuddly Buddly.

Well thanks for sticking with me or did it put you to sleep too!!!

I'll be back later with another post I have some picys from a workshop I took earlier in the week.
So come on and join in the fun are you still singing?

Thanks for stopping by have a fun weekend hopefully in the sun.

Hi,
Hope you've all had a good weekend,

I spent yesterday with my lovely sister, we started making some small Easter gifts for my grandaughter to give out at the mums and tots group that I take her to. I'ts her birthday on the 26th and she's leaving to start nursery after the Easter break. I'll show them when they are finished!!

This is my card for the following challenges:
Pile it On - the theme is Pastels and to get your creation on to at least one other challenge.
Magnolia  Down Under - It's their 1st birthday day,   "Happy Birthday!" so you can guess the theme. They have a brilliant blog hop to follow with candy along the way!!!  My card has a Magnolia background.
Crafty Creations - to make your own flowers
My Time To Craft - Kidz Cards
Ooh la la Creations chall 49 - anything goes

I loved making the tent card so much I thought I would use it for this children's birthday card and have the teddies hanging in the window, there's a fabulous tutorial here
The apperture was cut with Nestabilities rectangle plain and scallop.
I used Magnolia summer background and coloured it with Copic markers.
The  gorgeous teddies stamp is by Elzybells and the designer paper is by Kay & Co
Sentiment, oval punch and scallop oval by Stamping Up
I punched the flowers from more of the paper and joined the card at the top with brads. I covered the back with the designer paper to cover the brads.

Mo's Digital challenge # 19

Hello to all the lovely friends and thanks for calling by,

The challenge over at Mo' Digital Pencil blog is "Clean n Simple".
To make your creation with white or cream cardstock one of Mo's images and one ribbon, no additional layers. Hop over and look at the DT cards WOW!!

This is my card.

I really enjoyed this challenge, to just enjoy the colouring and not to worry about papers and such like.
Really refreshing, and makes Mo's fabulous image Isaiah reading to the baby, the focal point.
I also set myself the challenge to keep the colouring simple too. You can colour with limited markers by layering on top with the same marker. I used  a couple of Promarkers and a few Copics.
To set the scene I found some small freebie stamps given with a magazine and thought they could be pictures the baby had coloured, hence the scribble.!!!

I have another post this evening but have to take over looking after my grandaughter will my hubby has a snooze, be back later.

Hello, thank you for stopping by.

Just another part of this new world of blogging to get to grips with, and I need a photo for my profile, pheeewww!
I'm in awe especially with your lovely comments. To think that friends of like mind can look at each others amazing creations whether they are a few streets away or on the other side of the world!!! Thank you

Challenge #15 Mo's Digital Pencil

Hi Everyone welcome to my blog,
The challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil is to use a colour combo or as near to it as you can.
I love Mo's images because they are so good to colour and you can size them however you want to suit your project, which was what I had to do because the first one I coloured was too large!

As this is only my second post it's taking longer to do than the card, so please be patient if it sounds like an auto cue. Hubby says I will get faster with more practice so any tips folks will be greatfully received.

This scene is very common for me and my two years and ten month old grandaughter. She has had quite a few these in the past few weeks.

There are two girls and two boys all in different strops but just as cute, which you can get as a single image or as a set.

  • Base card is 15cm x15cm and landscape opening.
  • I coloured my image with copic and promarker pens which are fine with the inkjet printer ink.
  • The lovely cute paper is from Dovecraft, I used another sheet to cut out the teddies to raise them and the coloured card from The Paper Mill in York.
  • Die cut pin is sizzix sizzlet.
  • Tag was computer words
Thank you so much for looking I hope you drop in again soon.
Love Cherie
