TupeloDesignsLLC - Birthday Floral

It's the most wonderful time of the year but I think it's also the busiest! I've been having a little trouble finding some balance! It's going to be another long holiday weekend with New Year's just a few days away! Times like this I like to do m shopping on line - it saves me time because I don't have to run to the store! And I can shop in the middle of the night when the rest of the stores are closed!

My card today features lots of My Favorite Things from TupeloDesignsLLC. They have lots of different floral sets available. This one is called Flashy Florals. It's a multi stamp set meaning that you stamp the first layer with a light ink color, and then add layers by stamping over the original image with a slightly darker shade of ink. I used Altenew Inks because they're designed specifically for multi stamped images. Coordinating die cuts make the florals easy to cut out. 

The background die is called Triangle Screen. There are lots of other background dies in the store to choose from that make backgrounds spectacular.

The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Cupcake Day. I masked the sentiment with a piece of tape, inked it, removed the tape and then stamped it on a Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strip die.

Happy Friday! I hope you've been very good! Looks like it's going to be a long festive weekend! I can't believe that Christmas Eve is Monday! With everyone running around trying to get it all done I've really enjoyed shopping from home. It's nice ordering on line and having your packages delivered to your door! That's why I love shopping at TupeloDesignsLLC! I always find something new and a package full of crafty goodness in the mail is a nice way to treat myself.

Today I'm playing with the Concord & 9th Just Because stamp and die set from the store. I started with the inked up yellow rectangle in the center of the card front. I used ombre shades of Altenew ink and slightly overlapped the stamped block from the set. 

Next I die cut the sentiment and frame from the coordinating die set and decided where to place them before inking up the foliage on the corners of the panel. 

To add more color I inked up the outer edges with distress ink, and then added some die cut foliage and bitty flowers for a pop of color.

TupeloDesignsLLC - Warm Winter Wishes

Happy Friday! I hope you're having a great day! Today I'm posting for TupeloDesignsLLC. I'm always surprised by how often I find something new in the shop to love. 

On my last shopping spree I found this beautiful die from Find It Trading called Ice Crystal Frame. It's got lots of pretty delicate snowflakes lining the frame. 

What surprised me is that this is a two piece set. There was a circle die cut (that I cut the silver circle with) included. This is a big die too - 4 7/8" square. My finished card size is 5 1/4" square. You can see the die in the shop here. And guess what? It's only $10.39!

I layered the clean white die cut over a distress ink background of Blueprint Sketch, Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean. The sentiment cut with a circle die is from the Altenew Modern Deer Stamp Set.

TDLLC - Warm Holiday Wishes

It's Friday! I don't know about you but I'm totally ready for the weekend! It's been a very long week and I'm looking forward to some down time. I'm always looking forward to doing some crafting when it's quiet.  

Living in the Midwest I suppose I take the seasons for granted. If it's Christmas then it's got to be cold outside. But I confess I've often wondered what it would be like to spend Christmas someplace warm.

Today I'm playing with some Avery Elle from TupeloDesignsLLC. This set is called Flamingo Bells. I stamped all the images with Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored them with Copic Markers. I topped the background with a Reverse Pinked frame (also from Avery Elle and in the shop - see the links below) for a clean finished look.

The background was created with distress ink. I used Shaded Lilac for the night sky and Tumbled Glass for the water. I used a piece of removable tape to ink up each half and keep a clean dividing line. The Clarity Stencil Brushes make it easy to get a smooth finish with no sponge marks.   I have a different brush for each color family (reds, yellows, oranges, etc.).
