LOVE in Gold

In the top picture is hard to tell that the L, V and E are in gold foil tape, but take a look at the below picture and you can sure tell. Spelling words with tape (foil or washi) adds a very fun look to your cards. You have to choose your words wisely, because some letters are harder to make than others. Curvy letters like O are difficult, but I like to get creative and use a image or sicker.
What are some other words that would be easy to create with tape?

For this hello card I used one of the CTMH Picture My Life Clear Cards. All I did was trimmed it down and used some strategically placed adhesive.

Here are some of the cards that are in the Picture My Life Pack- click here to add some to your shopping cart.
Last up today I have a cute gift sack and tag. The tag has the jar from the December Stamp of the Month on it.   It is super cute with the hearts in the jar. I colored the hearts with the CTMH watercolors. I also did a little fancy folding on one of the CTMH bags to make it stand up. To make a bottom for your bag:
1. score the same distance on the 3 closed sides of the bag. (I used 3/4")
2. fold out all the score lines.
3. fold in the bottom triangle pieces and glue down.

Have a lovely Day

This card has become one of my favorite that I have made with the Blossom paper line. For starters I really like the sticker flower that go with the paper pack. Looks great on the card. Next up I made my own pattern paper by using the thin washi tape in a plaid pattern. Finished it off with some retired zipper trim.
Have a great weekend!

It's Your Day to Celebrate Card

One day last month I was completely out of Birthday Card so I spent a few hours making a whole stack of these. I used the Yuletide Carol paper pack and added a light blue as well as some washi tape. I love how virsitle the CTMH paper is, no one will ever know that I used Christmas paper for this card! This card was also inspired by a card that I pinned a long time ago. You can see it here.

Love Washi Tape Card

Last week I took a basket of cards to my friends at my 5am Boot Camp. One of the cards was this card from a while back. I had a request to make another one like it. So this is the card I made inspired by my own card.

The never ending battle...

I think with most crafters the organization battle is never ending. For me it's part of the fun! I like everything in it's place, I use a planner (the kind you write in, not my phone) and I sketch things out before I start.

Project life is no different.... and it seems that I am always trying a new organization plan.
The problem may really be in my shopping.
I will admit it, I LOVE to buy project life stuff.
The above pictrue is just what I plan to use this year (yeah, this year) I also have an Olive Core Kit that I want to use for the vintage family photos.
So back to the organization.... I needed a way to use all 5, yep that's right 5, kits this year. I had seen other CTMH consultants use the Medium organizer for their PL stuff, so I jumped on the train.
It really is perfect!
But I have said that before....in fact you can see my other organization solution here.
I spent a cold snowy afternoon combining all my kits...

I also will be using this Washi tape orginizer from Costco on my PL in 2014.
Now it's time to tell you all about the NEW CTMH Picture My Life collection. I am so excited and over the moon for this I hope I don't explode form excitement! Look for these products in 2014 as well as more of my project life!

3 scoops kind of day

This card is from my Washi tape Technique class- with this card I showed my group that you can color CTMH washi tape with your markers. I used a Blush marker to color the pieces of washi tape that I added to cardstock.
I printed the sentiment on my computer.

Hello Today

Here are a couple more cards from my Washi tape technique class. Banners are simple with washi tape, it's easy to fold them just right or adjust them as you go. For the 3x3 card I used the Washi tape as a mask. Because of the low stick it was easy to remove the tape after I applied ink with a sponge.

Have a great weekend!!!

Today I am thankful

One more card from my Washi tape class, showing that the washi tape can be stamped on! Any of the inks will work, but for the best image use Staz-on ink.

A hodge podge of supplies

This card was one of the cards I used for my Washi Tape Technique Class this month! A favorite of all that I made showing how you can spell words using the Washi tape.
The title of this post is hodge podge, and that's because I used a lot of things from my stash. All CTMH but most the items are retired. Most of the time I look at a card and then put my own spin on it using the supplies I have, so I hope you can do that too!
Don't forget the deadline for the Halloween Stamp Camp is fast approaching- Please RSVP and Pay to hold your spot!

Washi tape Tree

Last Friday I held my monthly technique class- For August I focused on Washi tape. I spent 30 minutes showing my customers all the things you can do with Washi tape. Well, not all of them, if you do a search on Pinterest for Washi tape you will be on Washi tape overload!! This fun card used the Slate Washi tape with the blue dots to make a Christmas tree
Come back next week for more Washi tape projects--
