Well the last few days has been a little tough. A few birthday dinners and cake and a few extra beverages that I wouldn't normally consume but we are back on track. Yesterday afternoon I gave myself a good half hour workout cause I was short on time.
I had a good run on the treadmill then decided to set myself up on a little circuit:
-30 sec toe ups
-30 sec pushups
-30 sec jump jacks
-30 sec fast bicep curls
-30 sec burpees
-30 sec delt raises
repeat 3x
Tonight I am off for another run. I am trying to increase my running time. I feel like I need to get a good hour workout in...burn off some of the crap food...

The Befores
So I took these last night to show kinda of a starting off point. I think it is important to see yourself as others see you.
I did it!! I actually got up this morning to work out..although I did procrastinate a bit but I was able to get in a good 25 minute workout. Jeff is taking me to London tonight for some birthday grub so I didn't want to have to re-wash my hair again this afternoon.
I also tried some plain oatmeal this morning for breakfast.....YUCK!!! now I know why Quaker instant tastes sooo good. So that got tossed out and I ended up have a whole wheat english muffin with a little peanut butter...mmmmmm.
I will continue to try new healthy breakfasts until I actually find something I like..perhaps I need to buy some fruit and cottage cheese?

P.S - Jeff says when I can do 5 one armed push ups he will do the run with me...HA

Alive and feeling good
185 days to go!
Well I awoke this morning not feeling too bad. I ran on the treadmill last night for 40 minutes. I am starting out run 1 minute/walk 1 minute for 30min then I do some sprints at the end. My legs did feel like they were gunna BURN off at about the 10 minute mark but I pushed thru and was able to carry on. I guess you need to get out of your comfort zone to see results. Well let me tell you, sprinting after 30 minutes is definatley NOT comfortable.
So I am eating a salad for dinner tonight. It's pretty tasty. I don't know if I should have eaten before I go running or after? I did, however, get sucked into eating 2 gummy hearts at work today.
Well, I am off for day number 2!

6 months till the inevitable!
Hi Everyone!
The reason I am starting this blog is because I am your typical 26 year old woman struggling to lead a healthier lifestyle. I have 25lbs to lose and need to learn how to keep it off. I have signed up (with a co-worker) for an 8km run on Aug.8, 2010. I ran this run 2 years ago and finished 2nd last. Eventhough I didn't finish in as good of time I thought I would, I really felt good about myself and it was worth crossing the finish line to see my, now husband, cheering me on to the end.
I am like many other women out there, wake up in the morning with great intensions of working out when I get home, but, by 7 o'clock the last thing I want to do is tie up the shoes for a run on the treadmill. The couch, a snack and Grey's seem like such a better idea.
Well it is time for things to change!!! I will not let easy excuses get in the way anymore. I think if I blog everyday I will be held accountable and be able to share my progress with you all. I want to share everything from the sore muscles to the late night cravings, the dress sizes dropped to the stumbles along the way.
well I am 186 days away from the run so I better get at it.
Off for my first treadmill run!!!
