The Pinewood Derby 2011

Weston won 2nd place at the Pinewood Derby.  He said afterwords that he was shocked because he figured he would get last place! lol. I guess if you have low expectations, your more likely to be pleasantly surprised!  Way to go Weston!  I have more pics on FB Facebook Album.

The Perfect Challenge for me!

I am so excited to be participating in a fun class/challenge called The Joy of Love. I don't think they are calling it a challenge, but I am. I need to be better about taking {and posting} pics of my family, so this is just what I need! How it works is I will be emailed a photo theme for the day, and I take a picture of someone that I love with the theme in mind. I am not promising that I will post everyday, so sometimes a post may have a few days of pics. Then, at the end of them month, you turn it into a cute Valentines book. If you are interested in participating, you should! It's totally free!

Of course, I am two days late, but I am pretty sure it will be easy to catch up!

First day of Kindergarten

Yes, I know I am a slacker. Better late than never, right?

I tried to get a cute "headshot" of Cade like I had for Weston. 
He was not feelin it. Obviously.

3rd Grade Already?

I don't know how its even possible. To have a 3rd grader already. I mean, it seems not that long ago that I was in 3rd grade. But......I guess it was a long time ago:( Really though, I am super excited for Weston. He has been counting down the days {me too} for school to start. He is happy with the teacher he got and that is a really big deal! I got this idea from a cute photog up north named Laci Davis to have them write their name on a plain paper with what grade they are in.  That way years down the road if you come across the picture and it doesn't have a date and you are super forgetful {not me, I'm just sayin'}, it's written on the paper.  Plus, you can see what their handwriting looks like at that time too!  So thanks for the idea! Cade's first day of kindergarten is next week!  Woot Woot!!

 

Happy Birthday Cohlee!

Can you believe it?? I surely can't!  This kid has turned our world upside down!  Now we have dolls, strollers, princess movies.....I am still not used to the idea of a little girly!  I love it though, and I am so thankful for her!  Happy birthday cutie!  We love you!  I have to include a picture of the cake I made for her.  It's no pro job, but I had to prove that sometimes, I do bake!!
