Sweet Child Of Mine - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi everyone!

Hope you are all recovering from your Christmas food coma!!

Laura here to share my next layout!

"Sweet Child of Mine"

2Craty products used:

Sweet Child Of Mine

Fays Flourish

Grid Bits

Atc Music Notes

Funky Rectangle Panel

1" Hexagons

I LOVE the flow of the Fays Flourish....to me it is whimsical and has a flow like music!

I covered all the chipboard with white gesso for the hexagons I used a bit of yellow ochre brusho powder then spritzed with water.  I used a paint brush to move the colour around a bit and added more powder till I achieved the desired look.  The Grid Bits and panel I used Winterfrost distress mica stain and for the music notes I used Lyndy's cattail copper brown mist and dylusions ground coffee spray.  The flourishes I used both the ground coffee spray and winterfrost spray.

I love this title.  Its from one of best rock songs of the 80's but its a great way to describe
our son Cody.  Sweet guy but a little rock and roll too!

'Beauty'
with Lisa Amiet

 Hello 2Crafty fans!
It's Lisa here today to share some crafty
inspiration with you.

'Beauty'

2Crafty products used:

For this layout, I used some of the 'Grid Bits'
that I have embossed in a bright white finish
and used in among my layers.

I have also used one of the 'Mini Decorative Frame Set 1'
that I have also embossed in white.
I have tucked this slightly under my layers of papers and 'Grid Bits'.

For my title, I used one of the words from the 'Fine Word Set 2',
again embossed in white.

Lastly, I used one of the branches from the 'Foliage Set 2',
also embossed in white to match my other chipboard pieces.

I hope that you like what I have created!
I will be back soon with some more scrappy goodness for you.

Until then,

Lisa

Floral Cards
with Lisa Amiet

Hello all! It's Lisa here today to share some
floral themed cards with you.

2Crafty Products used:

For my first card, I used one of the 'Frame Doilies',
that I have embossed in a bright white to stand out against the dark background.

I also used some of the 'Grid Bits',
again embossed in white,
that I cut up and added to the corners of my card.

I then used one of 'Mini Title Stick Set 5',
that I have left raw and layered over my doily.

For my second card, I used another piece of 'Grid Bits',
again finished in white and adhered to the bottom corner.

I then used one of the 'Tiny Frame Kathleen's',
also embossed in white,
and I then used one of the sentiments from
the 'Card Word Set 1', layered over the frame.

For my corner pieces, I used two of the 'Mini Flourish Bits',
layered with some florals.

I hope that you like what I have created for you.
I will be back soon with some scrappy goodness to share.

Until then

Lisa

Fun In The Sun
Laura Gilhuly

 Hi!
Laura here today to share my next layout!

Fun in the Sun

We like to spend a lot of time at the beach and I like to take a lot of photos while we are there.

2Crafty products used:

I painted then heat embossed the title.  While the embossing powder was still wet I drop a
small amount of white and brown paint on the title

All the pieces were covered in gesso, then painted in either brown or white.  After the paint dried I sanded to create a more shabby washed out look.  For the fence I also dry brushed a bit of white paint over it after I had finished sanding to add a more aged look

I cut one of teh revolution frames and placed one on top and one under the photo.  I used a whole one under the photo.  I also added some altered grid bits into the clusters.

You Rock - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi!

Laura back today to share my next layout for 2Crafty Chipboard!

The handsome young man is oldest Cody who really enjoys playing the guitar.  Music is a big part of his life.  I wanted to create a grungy masculine layout so I ripped, edged and used a stencil on the paper.

2Crafty Products used:

ATC Music Notes

Flourish 2

Grid Bits

Guitar

You Rock

I tucked the Flourish in behind the title and elements to give dimension after I inked it dark green and heat embossed it.  The title I wanted to stand out from the background and to achieve that I hightlighted the blue paint with copper paint

The guitar I covered in clear gesso, heat set, then applied green mist, watered down copper paint then inked with brown ink.

I also used green and brown ink on the Grid Bits and added a few painted music notes.

Thanks for looking

Good Times - Laura Gilhuly

Hi! Laura here to share my next creation with you!

I love texture so I had a lot of fun creating this layout of our boys years ago when we and our friends made a demolition derby car!

2Crafty chipboard used:

After covering the paper with clear gesso I added some texture paste (dyed with Lindy's hot poker orange magicals) then used finnabair wax and rubbed on the stenciled surface to highlight it.

To alter the awesome chipboard I covered each piece with white gesso then added heavy texture paste and heat set.  I started spraying with different mists and used the wax to highlight.

For the title piece I used gesso, then texture paste, then coloured it with
an orange Gelato art crayon.

'The Simple Things'
with Lisa Amiet

Hello all!
It's Lisa here to share some bright and fun
 2Crafty inspiration for you.
I am over winter already and need some sunshine in my life,
so I have created this layout.

2Crafty products used:

For this layout, I first used some mixed media to give some colour
and texture to my woodgrain paper.

I have used some of the 'Grid Bits',
which I have coloured in an ombre yellow and pink.
I have used pieces of this across my layout background.

I have also used several of the 'Filmstrips Tiny',
which I have given the same ombre effect to.
I have then tucked these into the layers of my papers.

I have also used a couple of the hearts from the 'ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars',
which I have finished in pink to match my other pieces.

For my title, I have used a sentiment sticker, layered onto one of the 'Filmstrips Tiny'.

I have also used one of the geotags from the 'Mini Asst Camera Set',
which I have finished in a teal colour to match my papers.

I am really happy with how this layout turned out.
It brought some sunshine to my day.
I hope that it brightens your day today!

Until next time!

Lisa
