Friday, May 27, 2011: State Excise minister, K Babu today opined that abkari policy would be presented soon after making necessary amendments in the law. The Minister said his department would annul 12 beverage outlets permitted by the previous LDF government. He was speaking in a press conference here on Friday. He said production of illegal toddy would be curbed but at the same time toddy-tapping sector would be protected. He said awareness programmes would be organized in campuses against liquor.
