My plate is too small.

I have a lot going on right now. Homeschooling, of course, I'm taking physics (not recommended) and world history, we are  preparing for an international move (and we aren't sure where we are going but we are leaving Mexico), hub's job change, Bible study, my poor husband was sick all weekend, we are celebrating Nikolas' fifth birthday, ugh, there must be more.
I have been very overwhelmed with a lot of anxiety and emotions. I have been turning to food and have gained a few pounds back. I know God has it all figured out and I know He will provide for our family. If I didn't know that I would be in a padded room. Sometimes I am really close to that but then I step back and I give it to God. I can feel my shoulders lift and it feels good. I wish I could stop taking it back though.

The Good Wife's Guide

The Good Wife's Guide, Embracing Your Role as a Help Meet is outstanding! I would've paid a lot more for this book. It was simple and straight forward and very biblical. This is not for the worldly woman but for the Christian woman that wants to do what is right. This was such a great book for me. It was exactly what I needed right now. I was feeling overwhelmed by my home and needing to take care of everything. This was a new and refreshing perspective. It was enlightening and educational. The book also includes how-to guides and inspiration. Darlene from Time-Warp Wife is a gifted writer and encourager and I highly recommend this book. It is also available in print now.

Finally!

My lack of posts isn't by choice, I promise! I have finished the spring semester for school and I was super busy writing essays and doing tests! Go to college before you have kids. So, now that I have a little time to breathe before my next term starts I wanted to do some posts and get you caught up.
Update on our plants: WOW! The chives didn't really make it but the green beans (on the left) look like they're trying to give us some beans! The tomatoes are moving right along but no sign of fruit yet. Sadly, the herbs that my husband bought ended up covered in bugs! So I just threw them all away.
Our plants
Exactly one week after finding out it was lose, he wiggled it out. Inflation is crazy, he got $20 pesos from the tooth fairy!
Joshua lost his first tooth!
Nikolas is too cute to leave out! He loves to be in front of the camera.
Nikolas is practicing fishy kisses!
That is a good one!

The Gentleness Challenge

As you read last week, I have been struggling with some things. I felt like my umbrella had blown inside out and it was hailing. My husband got me a new umbrella and reminded me that I don't have to hold it all by myself. God is holding the umbrella and my husband is holding my hand. It is day by day, digging out and getting ahead. Satan knows what brings me down, he knows how to hold me there. I have to make the choice to get on the right path every day; every hour; in each challenge of the day.
Today I read two blog posts that lit a path for me. Sam at Sam's Noggin posted about returning to our foundations. And Courtney at Women Living Well is doing The Gentleness Challenge. Go read their posts and be inspired to get on the right track like I was.

My Baby's Birthday

My baby is now FOUR years old. It has flown by. Here are some pictures, mostly of presents. But we had a wonderful party with some of Nikolas' friends. It was nice to celebrate with friends.
I planned on making him a cake but he saw this ooey-gooey fudge cake at Costco and had to have it. It was good and super rich!

Making a wish (I am  mid-word and looking a little duck-lip-y).

Joshua helping Nikolas with presents.

Look at that dimple! and the pizza sauce.

Still with fudgey face.

Lots of wonderful gifts!

Pretty rocks and books about them from Great Grandma. (These will be great for Rocks and  Jewels lessons down the road.)

I had an entire load of NEW clothes to wash!

Cars 2 puzzle!

My friend made Yoshi and Toad for Nikolas, love them!
Toad!

Our first real Lego's!

Goodies for the big brother, too!

Underwear and clothes!

They both have been begging for a watch, found these super cool Lego Buzz and Woody watches on Zulily for $7 each!

Each watch came with a Lego Buzz or Woody!
